  1. Shalom, Guess you haven't read Hebrews 4 then? And guess Jesus is not your example?
  2. Shalom Smalcald, Oh dear. You are grasping at straws. The 10 commandments are definitely how we should live. However, the 4th commandment does not say HOW to observe, the Law does. And, as I have pointed out repeatedly, we are not under the Law. You really need to grasp that, or you will never be free from this bondage stuff. Then you're not reading it with an open heart. Genesis 2 plainly states the institution of the Sabbath. What IS the Sabbath? It is the 7th day rest. 3So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. Nope, not right. It is no longer a commandment. Here is the text of Genesis 2 You're wrong, sorry. It tells us why and how. G-d is our example. And it PREDATES Mosaic Law. Regardless of what you think, the bottom line Smalcald is that you are judging those who observe the Sabbath in ways that YOU don't agree with. Please read the above Scriptures in Romans 14 and you will see that itself is the sin here.
  3. Shalom Arthur, You are wrong, a Sabbatarian is not a Christian who observes the Sabbath, but rather they preach that it is a requirement. It is never minor when people post incorrectly and make false accusations they know nothing about. Since I am not an SDA, nor is there SDA doctrine being posted, your comments are irrelevant and uncalled for. Read Hebrews 4. "THERE REMAINS A SABBATH REST FOR G-D's PEOPLE..." Are you not one of G-d's people? If you are, then you should consider that the Sabbath remains.
  4. Shalom Smalcald, Oh, that's not true at all! You simply are not seeing what I'm saying are you? Scriptures does not teach what you say it does. You are misreading it and misrepresenting it. Please, go back ans actually READ what I've posted.
  5. Shalom Arthur, You are wrong. Please get your facts straight before you falsely accuse and look silly. Right now, you look VERY silly for nothing you've said in your post is the truth. Speaking for myself: #1. I am not a "Sabbatarian". #2. I am not an SDA #3. I do not follow Ellen G. White. #4. I am a born-again, Spirit-filled, child of the Living G-d. Are you? #5. If so, then you have no place to judge what you are judging. Please read Romans 14.
  6. Shalom, For those UNDER the Law (that is the unsaved Jews), they do "good" works on the Sabbath and their city does not shut down. SO no, hospitals don't close etc. Just all non=emergency operations. However, since we are talking about Believers in Yeshua, these restrictions do not apply to us. We observe by choice, not by Law.
  7. Shalom Smalcald, But you are belaboring the same point over and over when it's been addressed over and over. Somehow you are not getting what is being said. You are all hung-up on the rules Dude. If you will just relax and let the Scriptures show you that the LAW is not is what is being followed here, but G-d's Word (see Genesis 2). Please understand this: ~G-d instituted the Sabbath BEFORE the Law, therefore we are not "under the Law" by observing the Sabbath. ~No place in Scripture does G-d every RESCIND the 7th day Sabbath, so it remains ~This is no way conflicts with a Believer going to church 7 days a week, if they desire. As Shiloh has sown you many times, it is your INTERPRETATION of "work" that is the problem. Rabbis have interpreted work in a way that is not given in the Scriptures, and you are following THEIR rules, not G-d's. Of course, if you choose to do that, you are welcome to, but it is not the Scriptural mandate. "Work" is common work, everyday labors. It does NOT mean doing nothing. Also, those instructions were given specifically under the Law. As I have shown you, we are not UNDER the Law, so the LAW is not the Sabbath. Back up to Genesis 2 and there you will see the SPIRIT of the Sabbath, which we observe. Smalcald, please, I pray you will see the difference, for it is a HUGE one. I have said it over and over in all our conversations on this topic and I so wish for you to understand, for it will free you from the "rules" bondage that you perceive as the Sabbath. Again, that is a wrong interpretation of the Scriptures and their applications. YOU are putting people under the Law, when we are not if we are in Yeshua. According to Scripture, we are to observe the day, for G-d made it HOLY. That is in Genesis 2. It is not an "either / or" situation any longer, can you not see that? You are saying it is, but that's not what the Scriptures say. Sabbath is a gift and a choice. Simple as that. You are making it Law and bondage, when G-d does not. No, it is not a commandment. Read the Scriptures. It is a choice and a gift. It is not a requirement. As I said, you are confusing LAW with following G-d as a Believer in Yeshua. And that is your CHOICE. I don't condemn you Brother for your choice. But, I am trying to help you see that your perception of this issue is a misunderstanding. Sabbath is not a requirement, and it is not Mosaic Law, but it is a gift given to us by G-d at Creation and in Hebrews, the Word says that this gift remains in Jesus. I read the Scriptures in Hebrews to prove that the Sabbath STILL remains, but not under Mosaic Law, but in the Law written in our hearts - to set aside the day to worship and honor Yeshua and rest in Him. Again, this is not bound up in rules as you think, but it is a wonderful, rich observation of something G-d instituted before the Law of Moses (Genesis 2) and continues, even today (Hebrews 4) Now, we keep going around this same Law pole which I have shown is NOT applicable to this issue, so unless you have something new, I would say we have said all we can on this subject. Shalom to you Brother.
  8. Shalom, The Scriptures do not specify one day to go to church. In fact, the early church met daily. Acts 2 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
  9. Shalom Smalcald, You see, you are instituting MAN'S logic and man's rules, not G-d's. You don't have that right, I'm sorry. The Scriptures are our authority in how we observe the Sabbath, not your opinion. Again, I'm sorry, but that is not Scripturally correct. That is man's opinion, not G-d. Smalcald, you cannot speak for G-d and go against His Scripture. The Bible does not say what you just said. Again, you are raising a Red Herring. The Sabbath was instituted at Creation. Before Moses. And again, you are not in the position to declare what is the "correct" way to observe the Sabbath. The Scriptures say that it is a holy day and we are to "honor" it to the L-rd. That is the correct way.
  10. Shalom Smalcald, As it has been shown to you, Sabbath PREDATED Mosaic Law. Your railing against the Law has no bearing on this discussion since we are not under the Law, but it still is applicable. Actually, bringing up the Mosaic Law is a Red Herring in this discussion, since we are not discussing the Law, but rather what G-d said in Genesis 2 (please note, that was before the Law)
  11. Shalom Smalcald, We have had this conversation before and Shiloh has shown you from Scripture that your position is not correct. Jesus never broke the Sabbath. What He did was not "common" work, it was G-d's will. Doing good, doing G-d's will on the Sabbath is the point. Going to work, doing "common" work is not.
  12. But isn;''t that like having 2 Sabbaths a week? I'd think, whatever day you keep, if you spend the day resting in the Lord, you'd want to be in church, hearing His word, being with other Christians, and keeping the whole day holy. Shalom Kat, No, you see, Sabbath is not necessarily for going to church. You can, but the POINT of the Sabbath is to set it apart and rest in the L-rd. You can go to church 7 days a week, but only ONE day, the 7th day is the Sabbath.
  13. Shalom Smalcald, Dear friend, this is not the topic of this thread. Please, stay on the topic of the Sabbath. You wrongly equate Sabbath with the Mosaic Law, when, in fact, it has been proven over over that the institution of Sabbath PREDATED the Mosaic Law. See Genesis 2.
  14. Shalom, Amen. Well-said.
  15. Dear Vickilynn - Please re-read my words. I said nothing of your heart. I was disturbed by the wording given. If you read my last sentence, you should see how I explained that. The words, "Praise God, he is being purified," I can say, "Amen!" to. The words, "Praise God, he got exposed," I cannot say, "Amen!" to no matter what the motives. I wish you could understand this. Life and death is in the power of the tongue, and how you use it, no matter what the motives, can bring either life or death. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer. Shalom Nebula, I understand, but I do not agree. I told you I was saying "praise G-d Dog was finally exposed so NOW he can be purified by G-d if he repents. Same message, different approach. I stand by my words and my motives before G-d and I'm sorry you don't like them, but that is your opinion. You and I would word things differently, it's that simple. There is nothing unbiblical about what I wrote or my reasons behind the words. Again though, the topic of this thread is DOG's sin, not the wording. If you are offended, there are Biblical ways to handle it, and this way ain't it. That's the truth. However, to defer to you and those who are offended, I edited the "Yay" from the title. As the OP, I would like to stay on the TOPIC of DOG, not the wording.
  16. Shalom Blessed, Who said anything about not forgiving Dog? Some of y'all are just coming up with these things that have no bearing on what is being said here. No one is judging Dog. We are just looking at the facts of the case, or trying to. No one is judging his heart, that is for G-d alone. The case is what it is. He has a long history of blasphemy and filthy language and now he got caught and exposed and perhaps now he can repent and have a heart change. That's what is being said.
  17. Shalom, That's funny, I consider your posts to be combative. Sorry, you don't know him personally or well enough to assess his spiritual life. You can have your "opinion", but in reailty, that's all it is. Same as me. I am seeing the fruit his mouth. Again, you are not reading what I'm saying. I said this very thing, yet you still argue. Of course he owes G-d an apology, that's a given. But, as to the us, I disagree. I believe he owes the Christian community an apology more than he owes the Black community an apology. But, the racial slurs get the attention. Maybe, maybe not. You don't know and neither do I. Again, nothing but conjecture. As I said before ONLY G-d knows. I am praying for him to have a true heart change and not simply do "damage control" as his publicist works out. There is no misunderstanding for those who choose to read my posts and my explanation. As I said before, if someone is offended even AFTER I have explained repeatedly, then they should take that offense to the L-rd. And again, this thread is about DOG, not my wording.
  18. Shalom Eric, You said it doesn't mean he backslid. I was just clarifying that no one ever said he did. And I'm not flying off any handle dude, you don't know me nor can you hear my voice, so yes, stick to the facts and keep personal judgments out.
  19. Welcome to Worthy./*sarcasm*/ Shalom Toni, It amazes me that the Biblical foundation is being overlooked and stuffed away in preference for a celebrity. This is condemned in the Scriptures. Amen, sister! That is why I said Welcome to Worthy. I'm with you 100%. Political correctness is running amuck here. Shalom Toni, I agree. I've asked this several times because it is so painfully clear. Why is the world all up in arms about Dog's racial slurs and not the vile things he curses using G-d's holy name? This is more serious to me! I would like to see him make a public apology to Christians.
  20. Shalom, First off, if you read my posts in this thread, I said I was ALREADY praying for him. Secondly, no one said he was backslidden. Thirdly, you don't know him well enough to make that statement about his spiritual life. Fourthly, I will CONTINUE to pray for Dog, but he does need to stand accountable, as we ALL would.
  21. Shalom Eric, No one said he has backslidden. Let's stick to the facts please. I for one am glad that the sin is exposed, so now Dog CAN repent, if he so desires. However, just doing "damage control" is not repenting. I am praying that he truly has a heart change through all this. And, I personally would like to see Dog stand accountable for more than the racial slurs. He owes the Christian community a public apology, IMHO. I find it sad to see the only action comes from racial slurs, but no one gets upset at cursing G-d's name and the other vile things that were said.
  22. Shalom, Back to topic, Dog has apologized to "his fans" and to the Black community. Again, nothing has been said about Dog cursing G-d's name. Where is the apology to the Christian community? Why is it only the racial slurs that get the action? I believe Dog should apologize to those who are hurt by his using G-d's name as a vile curse.
  23. well on that much we agree. Shalom, No, we do not. Try Matthew 18 for any further conversation other than the topic at hand.
  24. Shalom, More developments: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,307140,00.html Personally, I find the constant cursing of G-d's name to be more offensive, but in this politically-correct world, the racial slurs get the attention, not the cursing of G-d's name.
  25. Shalom Y'all, Let me make this clear: The TOPIC of this thread is Dog the Bounty Hunter and his sin being exposed. I am sorry that some of you are offended by my wording and refuse to accept the truth of my reasoning. I cannot help that, but I DO know, what is going on here is NOT Biblical. If someone has a problem with my wording, even after having it explained over and over, then I encourage you all to handle it Biblically (suggestion, read Matthew 18). I stand by my wording and for those that refuse to accept my reasons, please take it to the L-rd.
