  1. Dear Brother Writing G-d Out Of Love And Respect For God Does Not Imply Abba Father Is Not Spoken When Our Sister Prays. "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" Ephesians 5:19 No More Than Saying "No, I'm Not Trying To Put Down Your Use" Means The Intention Was To Shower Our Sister With Esteem. "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." Philippians 2:3 The Prayer Life Of This Sister Is Really None Of Our Business Unless She Chooses To Share. "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."Matthew 6:6 Insinuating That A Daughter Of The KING Does Not Have A Loving Relationship With Her Heavenly Father Is Just Silly. "Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand." Romans 14:4 One Of The Reasons Some Folk Will Not Chance The Destruction Of Written Names Of God Can Be Found In Holy Writ. "Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 12:2-4 Brother Should We Should Ever Be So Blessed As To Directly Minister To The LORD's Beloved Israel It Would Be A Charitable And Wise Choice For Us To Write God As G-d Also It Would Be A Kind And Wise Choice For Us To Abstain From Slopping Down Pickled Pigs Feet As We Fellowship With Them. "It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak." Romans 14:21 By The By Dear Brother Worthy Is Read By Jew And Gentle Alike When We Post At Worthy, Our Posts Are Often Read As Letters Of Introduction To Our Lord. "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians 5:20 Thank You For Bearing With Me. You Are Loved And Esteemed. Post Early, Post Often. Post With Love. Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING OF THE JEWS The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Love, Your Brother Joe Shalom Joe, You are a jewel!! You are used mightily of our L-rd to speak the truth in love and I am so blessed to be called your sister.
  2. Shalom Shiloh, Your opinion is just that, however, I disagree strongly with your opinion and your statement and writing as if it were anything other than your opinion. Someone's relationship with G-d and Biblical convictions are most DEFINITELY an issue, to them. It is very ungracious to try dismiss someone's observance of the Sabbath just because you don't care about it. The Scriptures speak a great deal about the Sabbath and for some Christians it is a very important issue. So no, you are not correct by saying it is a non-issue. What is more accurate is that it is a non-issue for YOU. You are entitled to your opinion, but so are others here. And what we see lacking here is grace and respect for other Believer's Biblical convictions. Yes, it matters to some and it matters to some a great deal and as Christians, we have the freedom and the right and honor to observe the Sabbath according to the Scriptures. Paul says quite plainly in Romans 14 and Believers should NOT judge or criticize those Believers who celebrate days and have certain food restrictions. Paul says not to judge, but to gracefully respect your brother's convictions and NOT put stumbling blocks in front of them. I'd like to see the grace and respect, otherwise we are not seeing Biblical responses to this issue.
  3. Shalom Celtic, Not that it's on topic for this thread, but it is a common question and you DID ask nicely. Thank you for your gracious post and apology. Remember, "G-d" is not His name. Remember, G-d supersedes language. Remember English is not His first language. Remember, G-d knows our heart, He needs no words. We worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, not in words. Remember, one Believer must never judge another's personal relationship with G-d. "Abba" means Father yes. And I DO call Him "Father." So, your points on Abba don't really relate since we both call the Father, "Father". However, the term "G-d' is one of recognition of His power and all that He is, in His TRIUnity. You have wrongly assumed that I "fear" G-d (in the way that you describe, as in afraid of) and that my referencing G-d as I do indicates that I don't love Him intimately. You couldn't be more wrong. There are several reasons why I write as I do, one of them is utter reverence and honor for the Almighty. Of course, as I said, "G-d" is not His Name, I hope you know that. Our names mean a great deal, as does G-d's. It reflects His character. Most Jews do not use the Almighty's name or even a reference to Him casually. And no, I don't call Him "papa", but if you do, that's between you and He. I would never question what how you related to G-d. Personally though, it bothers me when I hear some Christian's "casual" reference to the Holy Almighty G-d. He deserves supreme honor. He is not our "buddy" or "homeboy" or anything of the sort that I hear people say. He is holy and His name is holy! So, #1 is that I REVERENCE all references to G-d. #2. I do not wish to offend those Jews who write G-d without the vowels when I share the Gospel with them. Paul said that if we wish to win those under the Law, we should come to them, as under the Law so as not to cause offense. You see, if they are offended by how I DELIVER the message, they will not HEAR the message. It is an act of consideration to those who I am ministering to. How I wish more Christians had a heart to deliver the message to the lost and dying in a way that the people would listen to. Instead, so many Christians disregard these verses below: This may help you understand the history of why this is done:
  4. Shabbat Shalom! Have a blessed day at work! There is much more to the study that is helpful to the Believer in Messiah. Please overlook the comments and we can continue the study.
  5. Shalom Shiloh, Your accusation of "evasiveness" and "unwillingness to give a straight answer" are false accusations and are also uncalled for. Again, grace should be evident here, not hostility and accusing and judging people's heart motives.
  6. Shalom PR, You hit the heart of the topic. Shabbat Shalom!
  7. Shalom PR, You are so right!!
  8. I can't help but notice that the three people you asked this question are not rushing in to give the answer. Shalom Cobalt, That's not nice at all and totally UNcalled for. You don't know what people are doing at this moment. A little grace here please. Your right in one respect, but please don't try and correct me like I am some school child. Shalom Cobalt, We are to "speak the truth in love" as Christians. We are accountable for what we post. If you post something offensive, people will bring it to your attention. You can rise up and get defensive or you can react like Jesus would want you to. If you don't want to be accountable for your words, then don't post on a public message board. You can also contact the Mods and let them assess your post and see if it was a necessary or gracious post and they can assess my reply.
  9. I can't help but notice that the three people you asked this question are not rushing in to give the answer. Shalom Cobalt, That's not nice at all and totally UNcalled for. You don't know what people are doing at this moment. A little grace here please.
  10. Shalom Shiloh, I know that you are asking Pilgrim7 and what you're doing and that you are just trying to get this question down to the basics, but I wanted to make sure people know that one can observe the Biblical Sabbath and NOT believe it has anything to do with salvation. There are no eternal "consequences" as pertaining to salvation, for one is not saved by keeping the Sabbath. However, I believe G-d's Word is clear that 7th day Sabbath is a wonderful gift to His people (Jews and Gentiles) and those that ignore the Scriptures to observe the Sabbath "as unto the L-rd" are indeed missing out on some great, rich lessons and blessings. No, Sabbath is not a requirement for salvation. But your question begs another question ... if you truly DO love G-d and want to serve Him and walk in His ways, why would you "reject" honoring and observing what G-d has blessed and called "holy'? No, of course not, but the truth is, there is a closeness and fellowship that is unique to observing the Biblical Sabbath and that cannot be denied. I know for me, I want ALL of the the presence of G-d that I can possibly experience and when I was convicted about observing the 7th day Sabbath "as unto the L-rd", I did and do experience His presence and a sense of walking in His Word and ways that HE felt strong enough about that He put the Sabbath all through the Scriptures. Even though it is no longer a "command", it is still very much a valid part of His Word and part of a Believer's life if they will just reject the church's brainwashing on the subject and let the L-rd lead concerning this blessed gift from Him.
  11. And WHERE in Scripture does it say that God celebrated Sabbath????? Dear CW, I gave you the Scriptures, please read them. This is how G-d celebrated the Sabbath and serves as our example, before the Jewish people and before the Law of Moses. Genesis 2 1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 3So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. See above. Yes, before Moses. G-d rested from His works and blessed the 7th day and made it holy and served as our example. Says it very plainly. By the way, there is no need to shout. I can hear you just fine thank you. Actually, it does if you read the simple words. G-d rested and He instituted the eternal 7th day Sabbath at Creation. He "blessed it and made it holy." For whom? For us of course. None of what you've said above has any relevance to me personally and don't need or appreciate the sermon, thank you. Please, stay on topic. Thanks. For reverence. Hmmmm, judgment of a Believer's heart. This is sin. You don't know, so you make up an answer? Shame shame! I don't respond to bullying. Again, not the right thing to say since you don't know. If you ever sincerely ask without yelling and bullying, I might answer.
  12. Shalom CW, And what does all that have to do with celebrating the Sabbath as G-d did BEFORE the Law of Moses? In Genesis 2, G-d institutes the Sabbath and He has never rescinded it. The Sabbath is just that simple and it's something that cannot be argued against with all your arguments against the law.
  13. Shalom Emily Anne, Thank you dear. I knew would.
  14. Rats. Shalom, I'm outta here. I've said my peace.
  15. Shalom LadyC, Comments that affect his show, his job, his livelihood. He said he wasn't taking A&E's calls. Do as you are led and so will I. It was just a suggestion, take it or ignore it.
  16. Shalom, I posted this letter to A&E:
  17. Shalom, BTW, We can make comments to A&E at their website.
  18. Shalom Nebula, Yes, his own son did this to him. I am not happy about how this went down because I know it was hurtful to Duane, but I am rejoicing that Duane is now hearing what people have been telling him about his mouth and his witness etc. Even his pastor said he has been counseling him for over a year to change. Sometimes, when we refuse to do what G-d wants us to, He will bring us to the end of ourselves so we can choose His ways or our ways. Watching last night, I was so moved by his humility and I pray that Duane is trying to make the choice to do it G-d's way. Of course, with anyone, we don't know their heart, only G-d does, but I pray Duane has really made the steps to change. He says he has. I do wish they would address other things besides the racial slur, since that is not the extent of the offense, but hopefully, it will ALL change. I am continuing to pray for him and his family.
  19. I just watched it on-line. There's a transcript here . Did you watch it? Hi Nebula, I posted the transcript in my earlier post: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,308899,00.html And yes, my husband and I watched it. That's why I started this thread. I thought it was very interesting and sad. I felt sad for him. What did you think?
  20. Shalom LacyC, It has nothing to do with how I *feel.* The words of those sitting in judgment of other Christians who happen to hold a different view of this situation is nothing less than hypocritical, IMHO. Defend and justify the sin but condemn another Christian for calling things according to G-d's Word. Hmmmm, maybe if I had my own TV show and was a big celebrity. Great. I pray he does what he says and cleans up his mouth. Again, the SAD thing is that the only attention gotten was for the racial slur. Hopefully, he will cease cursing with G-d's name as well.
  21. Shalom, I found it very interesting that Duane said he would try to find markers for the slaves buried at Mt.Vernon. Anyone else's thoughts on that?
  22. Shalom, Actually, I read your thread and I am disgusted with the same ol' judgment coming from the same people defending Dog but actually sitting in judgment of others. No thanks, have your own thread. THIS one will talk about the facts.
  23. Shalom Patricia, EXACTLY. Amen.
  24. Shalom, Here's the transcript: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,308899,00.html
