This has been the case for a while now. I am just back from a 7 week overseas trip and it was quite different than the one I made 15 years ago. At the time I walked around with a "Magen David" on my Jacket (I was a volunteer in the Israeli "Red cross"). This time round we didn't even talk Hebrew in public places.
