    Praying to God

Amen Xan, I capitalize JESUS, LORD, and GOD, for the same reason. Hebrews 12:29 For our "God is a consuming fire.
  2. Hi Prime, Any thoughts on my questions to you? Also, you said; How is that a "problem" for you? Do you lack faith?
  3. Let me pose a question or two for you to ponder, Prime. Do you believe the Bible (in it's current form) to be the inspired Word of God? If not, then was He unable or unwilling to preserve His word in the written form?

    WARNING

Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
  5. The Bible is a spiritual work, and requires that it be read with the help of the Holy Spirit, in order to comprehend it's meanings 1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. It is not meant to be merely a "historical reference" or a "religious text".

    Suicide

Hi Bob, How does one pay for sins in Heaven?

    Suicide

Hi angels4u, I have been asked this question many times, as my mother took her own life when I was 14. I find peace in the knowledge that He who decides where every person will spend eternity is the soveriegn Lord. I trust His decisions completely, and seek His will in all things. My mother was born-again, but suffered from mental instability, and severe depression. There is a good chance that she was not in control of her mind, or even aware of what she was doing, but only the LORD knows this for certain. Does the LORD hold a person who cannot reason, accountable for their actions? Are those who are mentally challenged, incapable of reasoning who Christ is and their own need for salvation, judged as unbelievers? I personally believe that the LORD's grace and mercy prevail in such cases.
  8. It makes sense. To "deceive" someone (in the manner we are speaking), you must first win their confidence.
  9. Matthew 24:4-5 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. Just one of "many" I suppose.
  10. Isaiah 47:13-14 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. Jeremiah 10:1-2 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
  11. Abortion is a sin. However, the godless are expected to commit acts such as this. Our battle is not the "issue" of abortion, because it is just another symptom. The only cure is JESUS. You will never convince the world (and those who are of it) that abortion (or any sin) is wrong. Why? Simple. They cannot see sin for what it really is, because they have not been born-again, and still have a worldly perspective. Therefore, share the Gospel with them, for it IS the grace and power of GOD that CAN and WILL make a difference. JESUS gave us this same instruction nearly 2000 years ago.
  12. Without question, Christians should prepare by praying without ceasing and developing a solid foundation in His word that is continually being built upon.
