  1. From Dad Ernie:

...You state that there is NO need for subsequent prophets, other than Jesus. Well, what do you think the Apostles were? What do you think the two witnesses are in Revelation?

...I believe that history has a tendency to replay itself over and over again. I believe a wise man once said:

Ecclesiastes 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Todays adage is: Those who forget the past are bound to repeat it.

I say these things because I believe much of what was prophesied in the OT has already been fulfilled. We see a couple types of future prophesies given in all of scripture - the "short term" view and the "long term" view. The further out the "vision" is given, the more cryptic and symbolic it becomes. We see in Daniel that he was given both type visions. The short term which I believe pointed to the cross and the 70 A.D. destruction of Jerusalem, and this vision was pretty plainly laid out. But we also see the long term view as the big stone that came up and shattered the mountain. Very cryptic or symbolic.

We also see Daniel being told to "seal up the vision", meaning that he saw things which were not to be revealed at that time. HOWEVER, with John the Revelator, we see the SEALS being opened and God once again giving both short term (the churches) visions to John, as well as long term (the remainder of history, but including from the cross forward). The visions of the churches is NOT cryptic, but starting with chapter 4 of Revelation, we start seeing heavily symbolized images.

There is also a time of the "seven thunders", where John is ALSO told to seal up the vision. I believe whatever that SEAL covers, will be opened up when that day arises to the prophets that have "ears to hear"...

Dad E, you put it well.  :thumb:

  2. I just wanted to remind the ones who read this type of stuff and fall for it, that Jesus commanded us to fear not.  Everyone that tries to save his life will lose it, but everyone that loses his life for Christ' sake will keep it.  Folks, we should be crucified with Christ, that means already dead to self.  We are living sacrifices, and to die is gain.  Why should we worry about dying, if we are already dead??  Some people give death too much respect.  Fear not!!

Amen, this touches my heart. I always say that Rollin has a way with words :thumb:

I gotta say it again...The above just moves me with tears.

    God bless.

  3. Greetings all,

This is not in true response to Fab's topic of this thread, as it's not regarding America but thought I contribute the below for all your further study:

Rev 17:8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction.

  4. I know from Daniel 9 verse 26, Isaiah Chap 31 verse 8 and Micah Chapter 5 verse 5 refers to the AC as the Assyrian. I know he does battle with the King of the South during his reign but can you show me where he is specifically referred to as Egyptian?

Yes, AC's background is Aramaic (Assyrian) and he's a Semite as are all Arabs.  That's also pertaining to his ancestry line - his nationality/place of domicile will point to Egypt....when the late Anwar Sadat made peace with Israel then, he became the prototype of the AC.  That verse Isaiah 19:4 (with the surrounding context) is a somewhat 'relatively hidden' prophecy of who he'll be, where he is coming from.  Bibilcal prophecies can sometimes be only specifically revealed by the Holy Spirit, not by man's reasonings/wisdom.

    God bless.

  5. I'd like to take the opportunity here to say to the Board that I've been reading some posts, and would just like to lay out in the open - That we all agree that we are NOT comparing each other's intelligence (God forbid! ).

  6. Greeting J3B,

Speaking for myself, I'd say thanx from the bottom of my heart for the above important contribution/link you've shared with us as your very first post!

I would like to refer you to:-

Have anglo / Half Arab - Can possibly be later identified as Half Jewish as his mother is british

Instead of Jewish there, he could be Aramaic, a Semite, for Daniel also says he will have no regard for the gods of his father, etc.  What do you think?

Again that was a great, interesting read!  God bless.

  7. First off, I have edited the above post.

I just wish to add quickly here that as you all know, in the main, Biblical prophecies are given for the edification of the body of Christ and that much has been hidden previously in order not to alert Satan and man who would wreck God's ordained plans for the future.

And so I wish to ask that if the Wrath of God is supposed to be poured out AFTER the 1000 years and we are going to be literally living/abiding/ruling with God for that duration, why could not God then tell us in details about this Wrath during the 1000 years when we are dwelling with Him on a renewed earth?  Why is this God's Wrath, indicated by the Trumpets/Vials in Revelation, so vividly described at length therein (esp. in comparison with the New Jerusalem/Millennium Kingdom of God) if it isn't because it would be administered as God's Judgment during the last 3 1/2 years of the last 7 years?  How do you suppose 'Mystery Babylon' be destroyed without this Wrath of God now before He establishes His earthly Kingdom lasting a 1000 years?

    God bless all.

    :)

  8. Greetings to the above posters,

Hate to interject like this, like ramming my mid-trib (post-trib, pre-wrath) position down people's throat, but I feel pressed by the Holy Spirit, like He's impressing upon me to stress on this:-

We are not subject to "judgments and plagues for the last 31/2 years", as rightly described by godrulz, but should truly be called the Wrath of God, as opposed to naming this period as the Great Tribulation.  God says we are not appointed to [His] wrath, but we are so, to Satan's wrath with believers/saints given into the hands of the Antichrist for the 1st 31/2 years.

After that 1st 3 1/2 years or so of being subjected to AC's persecution, we'll be raptured, making our great escape from God's wrath.  And immediately after our being raptured to heaven, we will receive our rewards from God!

    :)

  9. 1. 'And it shall come to pass in all the land, says the Lord, that two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, but one third shall be left in it.  I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested.  They will call on My name and I will answer them.  I will say, This is My people and each one will say, The Lord is my God.'  (Zech. 13:8-9)

    2. They have been, as a nation of people, tested and refined in the 'Galut' (exile) and are currently returning to the land and the God of Israel.

    3. This passage of Zechariah has already been fulfilled to the letter

    1. - If we check out Zech Chaps 12, 13 and 14, we will discern that Zech 13:8,9 can allude to the period of Jacob's Trouble which will only occur during the second half of Daniel's 70th Week (or last 7 years of this age).  A text lifted out of its context and applied to past historical events in order to say it's fulfilled prophesies, is a pretext!

    2. - Yes, they are returning to the land; even so not many of them are calling upon Jesus' name or acknowledging that the Lord [Jesus] is their God; so not many are Messianic...they are yet to be redeemed, being either secular or Othodox in their beliefs.

    3. - Nevertheless, history will repeat itself....that's the essence of some Biblical verses that point to certain great prophetic events...they are repeated!

Hence, if we continue Zech 13 verses 8,9 on to its entirety, especially connect these 2 verses with Zech 14 verse 2, we will discover that out of the one-third who are left in the land (or in the Jerusalem city), who are being refined... one-half of this one-third will go into exile (or be captured), the other half of this one-third will not be taken from the city (or be cut off).

Thus, it's a prophesy that awaits fulfilment when this one-half of the one-third (who escape death) will go on to Christ's Millennium (Zech 14:6-11) after God has done with all the nations warring against Him at the Battle of Armageddon (Zech 14:3) which occurs after or at the end of the last 7 years.

The Bible is its own best commentary!

    God bless.

  10. Hey RT, What's rolling? (read: how your doing?!)

We will be home free, no longer bound!!

I really like what you said there... Amen to that.

This is not really in response to your post, but I wish to quote ALL the below excellent points that I read, concerning what John saw just before God pours out the last 7 plagues:

And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been VICTORIOUS over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God.

    - Rev 15:2

    Quote

    John saw these people SAFE!

  11. Greetings,

Please allow me to share and reiterate various things below:-

1 Thes. 4:16-17 - "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of {the} archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (17) Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord."

First notice that the Lord descends Himself.
