  1. I have been a Christian since 98 and I am active and have a strong relationship with Christ. However, I have an area in my life that I can't seem to develop. I pray, listen, praise, intercede and ask from God in those prayers. I never seem to hear (perceive) what Christ is telling me or what His plan is for me. I am trying to find out what Christ's plan is with me. I am at a crossroads and I have a decision to make about what I want to do with my life, and I have been praying for almost a year trying to find out which direction He wants me to take and I hear nothing. I read my scriptures daily, but my choices are not between good and evil. Any of the choices would be pleasing to God, but I am not sure what to do. How do you know what God wants of you?

    Hello Zanny,

I've been a Follower of Jesus for a long time also, and I have found that God wants me to serve right wehre I am.

I only need to be available and do what is at hand to do......and to me that is God's will for me.

  2. God speaks to me when I'm reading His word, and the words jump off the page, and my heart jumps out of my chest to meet them, and I understand it in a way that I hadn't before even though I'd read that same passage several times, and I suddenly feel warm all over, and I know it in my knower that God and I connected.

I think one needs to be very careful when they say that feelings is the determiner if God or satan is speaking.

Feelings are the number one place that Satan works with....remember Eve.

Satan will not make us feel bad he will make us feel good, he is the great impostor,he comes as an angel of light.

Thru the Bible God has spoken in Christ so completly revealing Himself, that there is nothing further to say.........In Christ.. God has spoken with complete clarity, there are no differing degrees like in the days of old.

The word of God in our Bible is our discerner of truth in all things.....Jesus said to injest His word, when we take in the word....we take in the spirit of truth.........so then when we hear something that is not truth.......we know it is a lie.....for we have tasted the spirit of truth.

  3. i would like to share a few thoughts on Job:

Job was just and upright, now the story begins with Job in contrast to satan, the enemy. It tells us of what God gives us all by default; a wall of protection. satan must either have permission from God, but that won't happen, or from us in order to enter inside that protective wall. Job's friends were not friends at all, but Job didn't know that, maybe never did figure it out, who knows. we are told that God asked him why he was listening to those knuckleheads who didn't know anything for 38 chapters, and that God was very happy Job finally included God in Job's conversation. re: Job's wife, well, who needs enemies; LOL. add his friends to that.

It was permitted to provide us an example of what can and will happen to us when we neglect to include God. with all adversity God provides us a way out. what is that way? It is God. The Lord is the way.

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

It is also very instructive of the ways of God vs the ways of the enemy. ch 38 is a personal fav. as it speaks to us about the previous earth age as well as this one.

Job 38:41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

the raven is an unclean bird, like the Kennites. recall noah, sent out the raven and it didn't come back because it feeds on the dead, like satan. Cain also a wanderer and a leach, feeding off the high offices of God's children who are not spiritually discerned. recall it is Cains offspring who sit in the seat of Moses [authority] in the times of The Christ.

Hello I"m new here, so i'm not to sure how this board works yet, but I'm giving it a try.

I've studied Job for a while and I find it a very interesting book also.

Throughout this story of Job....He loses all his children, his wealth and most of his friends.....gets disrespected from his wife..... this part I've really studied could not figure out why God would allow this.

And one day it came to me, None of these things were ever Job's or God's, they were of the ruler of this world, Satan. When it comes to all the earthly things, and people, all is not of God, all are lost as God sees it, none are worth anything BUT man's soul, which God doesn't own either, until man gives God his soul.

In this writing all that satan says is a lie.....for he is the father of lies........

As for his 3 friends I think they are a type and shadow of the prevelant religions of this world.

They all assumed they knew God's mind....and they were all wrong......only Job and his friend Elihu.

    Thanks for letting me comment
