  1. True Prime Number, that is a good point, and I really can't answer whether or not regaining all their territory is required. I hope to be able to get back to this discussion with an answer to that question soon.
  2. Yes, I've heard this too... and why were you watching the heresy network anyway...
  3. (As I have stated in a different discussion): The Bible clearly teaches that we believers who have accepted Christ before the Great Tribulation will not be on this earth during that period of time. Take a look at this verse written to the church in Philadelphia: "Because you have kept My command to persvere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth" (Revelation 3:10). A similar passage is found in 1 Thessalonians 1:10. Also, 1 Thessalonians 5 speaks of a secret coming, yet Revelation 1:7 says "Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen." Obviously, it cannot be a secret coming if every eye will see Him, so the only conclusion is that there will be two separate comings, one of these as we know as the Rapture, and the other known as the Revelation. My last and most important point is this: Matthew 24:44 states that He is coming at an hour that we don't expect. This does not allow for a Mid-Trib, or Post-Trib rapture, because it would mean that we would very well know when He is coming (either in the middle of the seven years, or at the end of them). This ONLY allows for a Pre-Trib rapture. Well that's why I believe that the Rapture is the next event to happen in the Biblical timeline.
  4. While your theory is quite interesting, it is really nothing new. It has been pointed out to me before, and I do think it is possible, but here is the problem with it all. "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends; With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day" (2 Peter 3:8). I don't think that this is intended whatsoever to mean that in God's plan, a day is a thousand years. All it means is simply that God is not bound by time, and that a thousand years is nothing compared to his everlasting existence (see Pslam 90:4). I think that you have taken that verse out of context quite a bit. So that's the only thing I see wrong with your point, but once again, it's very interesting and I thank you for taking the time to share it. Stay patient in studying His Word, and God bless.
  5. Yes, I agree, many people over the ages have been saying that these are the "last days." But I firmly believe that now is the actual time when we can really say that. What I mean is that I believe that this is the only point in time throughout history that Christ's return is possible, based on prophecy that stated certain criteria that must have occured before His coming. An example of that would be the regathering of the nation of Israel, which was spoken of in Ezekiel 37. Also, Christ said that the generation that saw Israel's rebirth as a nation would be the last generation before He would return (Matthew 24:32-35; Mark 13:28-31; Luke 21:29-33).
