  1. I have something to add to those above...their insights are so good. We often look around and compare ourselves to other brethren. Measuring ourselves by what we see in their walk. Or what we think we see. The disciples had a lot of trouble with this too...always wondering who was the greatest. Lk.22:24-27 Peter was still having this problem after the Lord's death and resurrection and the Lord gave him clear direction for "his" life. Jn 21: 20-23 I thought the Lord showed me something once about the church being like trees of righteousness. We stand together as a forest...our branches can touch and intertwine...but each tree must stand upright in Him uniquely as an individual member. Putting down it's own roots into the river of life. Hope this helps.
  2. Do any of you have a gift to interpret dreams? I had one today...wil try to post it briefly if some one can help me understand it. I have a "sense" of what it means.
  3. I am no expert on prophecy...but Rick Joyner's ministry helped to take lots of chains off my spirit a few years ago. I don't follow him closely or any "prophet" for that matter. But Rick"s ministry really seemed to send me straight to Jesus. I have never been to one of his meetings...just read a few of his books and writings. I get a little tired of the "prophetic" word...like to study the written word more.
  4. quategirl99....I have had little personal experience with missions...but I did go on a short term trip to Japan last summer. I was 57 then, had never even flown in an airplane before. I went with seasoned missionaries and travelors. Before we left we read a book called Brutchko...it is a biography about a man who went to So. America as a young man...about your age. It tells of all the obstacles he overcame...including a unsympathetic family...wierd delays "seemingly" from the Lord and years of waiting for the FRUIT in jungle. What an inspiration,,,and I believe he is still there. He lived in the trees with the natives at first. I had never thought of going on missions myself...don't like to travel...but the Lord made His will obvious...if He has made His will obvious to you...stay in it. I was just reading how reluctant Moses was to take his commision from the Lord...yet he made the right choice. May the Lord strengthen your heart in His purposes for you.
