It just means a church that believes the gifts of the Spirit remain in operation in the church today, as they did in the book of Acts. That people are still baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. That God still heals the sick through the laying on of hands. That the church is still able to cast out devils. Basically, that the gifts were not done away with when the Bible was completed. Oh! Ya I guess they do. In theory!! But I live it!!!! Jesus is alive seated at the right hand of God!!! We reing In. Intimacy with Him!!!

I totally agree that the stuff you are talking about happens and shouldn't!!!! But taking g all test kids away from their moms and... I just am grieved... I hope in all this they hear Gods song that He sings over them!

When you married your wife, was it an arranged marriage? Did someone tell the two of you that God wanted you to marry, and then pushed you into it, or was it done willingly? The problem here is more than age. It is the fact these young girls are being forced into marriages they don't wish to be in, at least in some cases. However, given their maturity, even if they were asked they wouldn't have had the capacity for making that kind of decision. Exactly.... you are right that's why i dont think its as a big deal as everyone is making it. Happens all the time. seems like most people get married way earlier than they are ready for

I married my wife when she was 17 i was 22 and she probally was half as mature as these girls are!!!!!!! I'm guessing here. let's just say my wife was not the most mature at the time. But just the oppisite. Today I wouldn't trade her for the world!! Then...probally would have traded her for anyone...

...that's the point. You "think". That is conjecture based on some false assumptions. We're not talking about marrying for love. We are talking about rape, slavery, cultish behaviors, child abuse...and if we stood by and allowed it to continue, we'd be just as guilty. These are real lives...real souls. Ask the young girl who broke away and reported the activities withing the cult if she was willing or not. I think it is safe to assume that she was not willing. that's one of my points... Well, if they are having to take DNA tests to determine the child's parentage, it sounds like the families are alread split up. Are you saying they the "families don't know who belongs to who?

I just think that maybe their 13yr olds are more mature than alot of twenty yr olds! Its a different way of life. I think we over value marrying for "love". Marriage is a partnership and who says they are not willing?

I am truly distressed at the taking apart of these families!!! If marring 15yr olds and having more than one wife is the worst thing going on there... Geez bring their families back together!!!! Please share with me the terriblness of these things because I guess j am missing something.

I asked the quistion yesterday about why is having more than one wife such a big deal. I had to leave not sure if anyone answered... Not really trying to take this a different way but geez if even marrying off 16 yr olde is the worst that is going on.. Wow leave them alone! Bring back the families together! ??????
