  1. How a dog thinks:

You feed me, give me water, and shelter me. You must be God!

    How a cat thinks:

You feed me, give me water, and shelter me. I must be God! (Amen!!!)

When a dog is clawing at the door... when opened, out it goes and does its bidness.

When a cat is clawing at the door... when opened, it looks outside then at you then looks outside again then walks back to another interior room. (Grrrrr! #$%$#**# cat!!!)

Heard most of above on 02/16/09 Walk in The Word with James McDonald on Moody with my own additions in ().

I'll add this that I heard before (paraphrased):

When God created dogs, man got proud about the unconditional love shown by dogs to man.

    So...

God created cats to keep man humble.

from a owner of 3 Siamese cats. <help!!!>

  2. :)

That's right, let's blame God for His plans for creation instead of man's abuse of CFC releases amongst other abuses.

Psa 2:1 Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity?

Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His Anointed, saying,

Psa 2:3 We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us.

Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall mock at them.

Psa 2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath; (LITV, my emphasis added)

I can't wait for The Great Day of The Lord so that He will vindicate Himself against the stupid vanities of man in his natural condition.

A side thought: I wonder if others have noticed that Psalm quote really being fleshed out in our time? Something to ponder.

  5. To daystar101: by outside - I meant a older brother-in-Christ at my work who is not associated with forums. Not anyone here. Sorry for confusion.

Futhermore, women must possess some of these traits inherently as the were taken from man. LOL!
    :th_praying::24::24:

To everyone: Sorry if I was over-sensitive. I just see this world attitude in my own lost Mom's eyes toward my stepdad and sometimes toward me. I guess that this post just kinda drove me over the cliff in a sense. I should have not spoken.....maybe.... I don't know.

My apologizes to everyone if needed. I'll just shut up now and staple mouth closed.

  6. Sorry if I seem offensive with this but even combined with a outside brother's perspective who just laughs at this. It seems like male-bashing? Or always teaching young girls the sinful nature of us men without the counter-balance and overwhelming truth contained in Eph. 5:25-33? This makes us godly men seem useless in the womens' eyes. Go back and re-read, capture the tone of this. It seems all bashing. Whatever your personal feelings it looks bad on us now.

Yes we men act like this in our natural state but I thought this was a believers' only hangout!!! What would the lost peeps think of this? Are we not supposed to be different from the world as followers of Christ, who so much loved us as to die for us?

I see no love for godly men in that post. Yes some men are lacking but we need the womens' respect to us to spur us onward to true fellowship with our Father so as to be your savior (dieing to ourselves, dieing to our hobbies, interests - for you as our brides- as unique and special), sanctifier of you (your own 24/7/365 personal pastor)so as to point you to God.

Christ died for the Church and is setting apart His Bride away from the world and is cleaning her up from the ways of the world! That is the church. And we married men should be like Christ! We married men, self -sacrifice that most feeling activity to us ie football tv for her; and also be in the Bible ourselves so as to be that spiritual leader and pastor to our families.

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave Himself up on its behalf,

Eph 5:26 that He might sanctify it, cleansing it by the washing of the water in the Word,

Eph 5:27 that He might present it to Himself as the glorious assembly, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such things, but that it be holy and without blemish.

Sorry, but have been hearing Tony Evan's latest radio series on Moody Radio. So excuse my forwardness. Us men need to hear that series real fast and quick.

    BUT the women need this:

Eph 5:33 However, you also, everyone, let each one love his wife as himself, and the wife, that she give deference to the husband.

Some translations say 'deference' others say 'respect'. Respect is a good word for us males. When we see loss of respect in our spouses eyes, we withdraw away into what we were ingrained with by our parents. Some bad some not so bad. But we withdraw from you wives when you think that we are so bad and useless. Then you get on us for not 'loving' you like you want, but. You killed our loveline to you by seeing this junky stuff and thinking that all males are that way. We are that way by nature, but by the grace of God, some are rather blessful to you women of faith.

This OP just re-enforces the world's outlook on men in general and makes us godly men look terrible even when we try to correct amidst the prevailing cultural wind.

Why continue spreading the history of useless men with 'Bright' women? Would your own husband be deeply pleased with this deep down in his heart? Come on, Sisters-in-Christ. We now lost respect in your eyes! No edifying, no building up of godly men even in the ranks of male young-ens! I couldn't, in good conscience, let any youngen see this.

Should we bash you women on your own faults? Would that be hard on you women? I wonder! I really wonder! Not that I would want to see any of that style of thread but an open door is open for rebuttal. So maybe we all need to repent and get closer to God on this in our hearts.

We are brothers and sisters -in- Christ. We are family whether we like or not some peeps. We all be in heaven soon. Is it now for correction or later after the Bema seat when Christ points out certain sticky points when its too late? Better now with your church group or some lost teenager who is just barely hanging on. Be gentle with whoever The Spirit leads your eye to!

One on my mind and heart for a while now since she hasn't showed up lately for a long while. Taylor a a 13 yr old female youngen. She has been captured by parents' lack of commitment and also 'lost' so no important info shed on daughter. So pray for Taylor that she express a williness to show back up hungry for more teaching and love! Even if she never shows up at my church ever again, please pray that she is HUNGRY/ STARVING for the Lord's presence in her life. Are there any believers supporting her in prayer alongside your own church teens who are lost and bewildered in your own church?

A soul being inside a dark deep dark wilderness looking for hope. Shall we pray earnestly?

Sorry if I'm a bit sensitive earlier but what do the lost peeps now think? Are we loving or bashing each other sex?

  7. :emot-pray:

I got the grinder but only black pepper corns! You recommend a mix of white and black? Or the 4 color black, white, green, red?

So what are the matching sides for this? Since I'm not sure how the taste is. I'm guessing salad for one but what offsetting balanced taste dressing for this?

How does one know how to cut across the grain? :emot-heartbeat:

I'm a beginner 2nd-level cook on a poor man's budget. First level is microwave reheat and back of box recipes. :emot-pray:

P.S. what kind of salt? Kosher salt or just plain old table salt? Can't remember which one to use on meat though. Probably kosher or sea salt, I can't remember.

P.S.S. unsalted butter or salted? I use unsalted most times. Also what brand do you recommend for the balsamic vinegar, since I know that that is the key ingredient for taste on the reduction. Do you deglaze the pan with the balsamic vinegar? It looks like you might in the shortened steps but not sure.
