I believe this subject is probably more vital today than ever. Peter asked of the Lord Jesus, how many times should he forgive his brother is he sinned against him. Up to seven times was the question? And the Lord answered accordingly. "Seventy times seven." Matthew 18:21-22 That would be 144 times in doing the math. Perhaps that's how many times it may take certain individuals to get it down into their hearts and minds. Sounds sensible if we do struggle with this issue. I personally have as well. I can become easily angered, but have learned to quickly forgive. Lest a root of bitterness develops as a result. Bitterness can literally end up destroying one's life.
