The Total Solar Eclipse: A Spectacular Proof of God On August 21, 2017, we in America will be experiencing a total solar eclipse. These are relatively rare events but the fact that they happen at all is a spectacular 'coincidence.' When you look at the eclipse geometry you can see that all the elements have to be in perfect alignment and in perfect position across the vast distances of space. What are the chances these elements would come together so perfectly? 1. The size/distance ratio between the sun/moon produces perfect solar eclipses only on the earth out of all the planets in the Solar System. Other Planetary Eclipses 2. Earth is the only planet in the Solar System that has intelligent beings capable of seeing a perfect total eclipse. 3. “Eclipses occur due to the special coincidence of the moon and the Sun being the same angular size. The shape of a moon must match the shape of the sun in order to block it in totality. Not all moons are perfectly spherical. 5.
