Like a lot of topics religion gets discussed on social media. It has been my experience that social media platforms allow criticism of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Shintoism, Mormonism, Buddhism but there seems to be major world religion that is off-limits for critique. I think we all know what that religion is. This major world religion which has one 1.8 billion followers. It is a religion that some people throughout history have referred to as a death cult. It is a religion that throughout its history killed 30 million Hindus simply because they wanted to continue being Hindus. Criticism of that religion and its followers is not permitted on social media platforms while criticism of every other religion is permitted on social media platforms.
members of this religion have become a protected class especially in Europe. It is now a crime in some European countries to say unpopular things about the prophet of Islam and the behavior or its followers such as the terrorism and the subjugation of women. I believe that censorship is very dangerous. I believe that making a certain group of people a protective class is very dangerous.
what have been your observations if any and what are your thoughts?
