He told you not to be deceived by any means not even from the first letter where people get the Rapture from. Satan will appear first. Satan is the Son of Perdition. In the very definition in the Strongs Concordance His name is listed in the definition (Apollyon) as given in Revelations as one of his names.Perdition means to perish, to destroy, Satan is the only one who has been sentenced to death.
