I have actually gone and thrown out her CD's... she used to be one of my favourites. The way she mocked evangelicals for their stance on celibacy in singles is just . She isn't struggling against this, she is embracing it and even (I think) promoting it. It's a nasty deceptive falsehood. There is no way to support this without twisting the very Word of God that tells us how we are saved. I'm praying for her.
Guest LadyC
a part of me is saddened, but more of me is angry. yes, i know some people are in it for the money, but to USE God like that, for fame and fortune, just sickens me.

One of my favorite (young) gospel singer Tonex came out. He had a song that always lifted me during times of need, entitled 'Make Me Over.' Guest LadyC
the church does not need unrepentant people living a gay lifestyle being a role model for christians of any age. what if, instead of coming out as a lesbian, she'd come out as a chronic meth user? or that she was shacking up with some guy and having a baby out of wedlock? or that she was having an affair with a married man? would you still think the church needed her? the "church" needs musicians who are a living testimony to God's glory, not to selfish perversions that spit in God's face. The real CS Lewis would disagree with you on the "sexual orientation" I bet. As does the Lord.

And I'll lose my way, my brother, in a landscape stretched flat white for there'll be no contoured valleys without the shining of the night. You are nameless, my sister, and you leave me incomplete, for I cannot know my fullest self unless our two souls meet. And I'll be bereft, my sister, until we sing your song aloud and raise your head amongst us- welcomed, celebrated, proud. You are gay, my brother, and a source of grace to me reflecting on our human race God's rich diversity. And I need your courage, brother, as you stand for who you are, shining in our blindness a lone and brilliant star." - Edwina Gateley "Christ in the margins"
