At least not among themselves, even if they are actually still trying to deceive others. but of course, it's meant to be satire. This article is just a spoof. Yet, like a number of spoofs..... the spoof is really the reality!
Guest shiloh357
Yes it is a spoof, but I love it because it says everything I have been saying on this board for years about how the Arab war against Israel's existence has been perverted and misreported by the media and how the mainstream media is willingly complicit in spreading the misinformation. In October of 2000, the Associated Press published a picture of a bloodied, beaten boy in the foreground and an angry Israeli soldier/policeman in the background with his baton raised and apparently screaming at someone. Behind the policeman, was a sign with Hebrew words. The AP captioned it as, "A Palestinian and an Israeli on the Temple Mount." Well it turned out, that the "Palestinian boy" that was all bloodied was an American Orthodox Jewish Yeshiva student named Tuvia Grossman from Chicago. He was being beaten and knifed by a gang of Palestinian terrorists who had already murdered his friend and were attempting slice him up. He managed to escape and run to a gas station where some policemen were gassing up their vehicles. The angry policeman was actually shouting at the Palestinians. The photo angle was intended to make it appear that the policeman was beating a Palestinian. Furthermore the sign in Hebrew was the gas station sign. They were not on the Temple Mount like the AP reported as the are no gas stations on the Temple Mount and certainly nothing written in Hebrew is up there, either. But the mainstream media takes advantage of the fact that most Americans don't take the time to fact check stuff like that. The Grossman family had to wage a campaign against the AP for them to retract their previous caption. The family had to hire lawyers and still all that the AP would do was claim that it was an American student in Israel. They would NOT admit that it was a Jewish American who was beaten and injured by Palestinian terrorists, because that didn't square with the Left's anti-Semitic hatred of Israel. There are numerous others including selectively edited videos showing Palestinians being beaten up by Israeli soldiers. In actual fact the soldiers were trying a help a Palestinian who had been beaten but it was carefully edited to make it look like the soldiers who had done the beating. If you have to lie for your cause then your cause is a lie!
Guest shiloh357
There was a famous photo of a Palestinian woman crying at the concrete security wall and it got plastered all over place years back, and was meant to make her appear to be suffering under the "oppressive" Israeli "regime." Turned out the picture was staged, as the link below reveals. It was completely faked. http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/9805_Lights_Camera_Action! The thread title is misleading. Perhaps it should be changed and the thread moved to, "weird and whacky" as we don't have a "Spoof forum"
Guest shiloh357
It's not about fake news, ncn. It has to do with the openly anti-Semitic nature of the mainstream media and how they are willing to violate every principle of journalistic integrity in order to present Israel in the worst possible light. The news stories are real, but the OP is exposing the media's hypocrisy and how it is in collusion with the international community's decidedly hostile posture toward Israel. It's all about reality. I am aware of what you are saying. Mine was more of a tongue in cheek question as you OP starts with a link that is just a spoof and satire. Some will click on that link and think its real, you know that and I know that. (Maybe if you stated prior to the link that the article is a spoof would be better. )
