We have assurance, we have this treasure in Earthen vessels and this is His doing. That's how you read not of Jesus. Jesus does not approve of any kind boasting. Besides, you dont know if your salvation is approved by Him. that's why it is nothing but boasting.

Boasting is fine and encouraged, as long as it's not in ourselves (pride) but rather in the Lord and what He has done or is doing! Here are four verses about boasting in the Lord (there are several more): Psalm 34:2 My soul will make its boast in the Lord; The humble will hear it and rejoice. Romans 15:17 Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.  Hebrews 3:6  but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.  Galatians 6:14  But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
