(Worthy News) – Suspected Fulani terrorists in Nigeria’s Kaduna state killed a Christian and kidnapped 25 others during a night raid on a predominantly Christian village last week, Morning Star News (MSN) reports.

Last week’s attack took place in the early hours of Oct. 31, when terrorists raided the village Ungwan Baka, Kachia County while residents were asleep, MSN reports. In addition to killing one Christian and abducting others, a number of villagers were wounded.

“The Christian villagers were attacked in the early hours of Tuesday,” resident Emmanuei Yusuf told MSN in a text message. “The injured victims are currently being treated in the hospital.”

MSN said in its report that this was the third attack on this community by suspected Islamic terrorists this year.

“On April 3, armed assailants invaded the area and kidnapped eight Christian girls from the Government Secondary School, a public high school in Awon, said area resident Jonah Ayuba. The girls were rescued by the military on April 18, MSN said.

Nigeria saw 5,014 Christians killed and 4,762 abducted by jihadists last year, the Open Doors international Christian advocacy group has reported.

Ruled by an Islamic regime which has done little to prevent jihadists from murdering over 50,000 Nigerian Christians since 2009, Nigeria ranks 6th on the US Open Doors World Watch List 2023 of top top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted.
