They Choose To Have No Knowledge Of God Or Jesus = Hosea 4;6

 

 

Hosea 4;6

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

 

Psalm 14;1-4

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

Proverbs 1:29-32

For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

Also this verse says it all:

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD...  Amos 8:11

Some interpret that as meaning that the word of the Lord won't be found anywhere due to the reference of some people seeking it and not finding it (as if all the Bibles were destroyed or something).  However, I also interpreted it according to your passages because people refuse to hear and they seek God (their idea of God) but won't tolerate truth. Thus, they will refuse to hear the words of the Lord.
