Hi,

I have a topic ongoing in another thread, I just wanted to pop in here and ask for what you guys understanding of the word "re'em" is/was.

I have it down as a "wild bull" or "a wild animal with great strength."

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It's a very funny turn of phrase in Modern Hebrew as well. A true double meaning. Ra is bad and em is mother. I suspect the secondary meaning is intentional.
