To grow as a believer, you need to get a readable translation of the Bible, like the NIV, and read it, read it and then read it some more. Study it. Find a Bible-believing church to attend, listen to the sermons, attend Bible studies and ask questions. The Word of G-d is the Operations Manual for your life. Prayer is essential, but it is the Word that contains G-d's will for your life.
