Wow...haven't been here in while, and I'm unhappy to see our resident science professional has been outed. Myco leaves two pretty big shoes to fill. Granted, I've got no PhD and very little lab experience, just a BA in bio, an MS in ecology, and a lifetime of nightmares about organic chemistry. Ask me about anything and I'll try my best to look informed. :emot-hug:

Give me a few more years and I'll have some credentials. Probably just a bachelors in general science though.

Can you tell me about coherence transfer among small molecules embedded in cryogenic matrices? :emot-dance:

Be glad to help if I can. Have a BA and MS in biology but am now a lawyer.

:emot-fail:

I share your organic issues, my undergraduate class was Tues, Thurs and Sat at 8 a.m. A way to separate the wheat from the chaff for sure.

Ugh. And to think you sat through all that and later switched to law!

So we should throw out the test tubes?

You beat me to it.

What isn't real about a test tube? Maybe he's implying chemistry isn't real. That would be funny.

Got any questions for me, reasonoverrhetoric?

what "works" in a controlled environment doesn't necessarily work in real life

...Of course. Now what does that have to do with evolution?

You appear to think biologists subscribe to evolution because of lab experiments. Wrong. Most of the evidence for evolution comes from DNA and fossil analysis. (Macro)evolution is such a slow process it couldn't possibly be reproduced in a lab.

And before you continue, I must remind you this is a thread for questions about evolution, not rants about evolution. :whistling:
