Romans 15:4 __________________ 1. "Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein" Exodus 30:18 "And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein." Exodus 40:7 The laver held water, which symbolizes the Word and Spirit of God. Normally, you would expect to see the dimensions breadth, and length, and depth, and height-this pattern is repeated in describing the construction of the Tabernacle. Sometimes, "what is missing", in the context of the subject matter, often provides as much spiritual insight as what is included. In this case notice no dimensions are given for the laver. Spiritual application: There is no limit on the Word and Spirit of God. Also notice that the laver was the only object not covered. Spiritual application: The purifying Word and Spirit of God is always available/accessable. 2.Ever notice?: -Layout of the Tabernacle was from east to west-you would approach "the most holy place" from the east to the west. -The "wise men" came from the east to the west to visit the Lord Jesus Christ " As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us" Psalms 103:12 In Christ, John Whalen
