Do you know that there is nothing you can do to make yourself more acceptable to God. God sent His only son to remove that one last barrier between man and God and so that we could be acceptable to Him. DO you think you need to be baptised to be saved or that reading the bible or going to church is going to change the way God sees you. DO you think that just because you have not walked perfectly before God that He wont accept you, God loves you, He sent Jesus to become the sacrificial lamb, the perfect offering so that when He looks at us He sees us through the eyes of His son. Perfect. So never fear that you have lost the path or messed up, thats what the enemy wants, no just go to Jesus and ask for forgiveness then its all forgotten never to be brought up again. This is why we have the scriptures we are to reason with together, not our opinions. (Acts 17:2) Its all about the GIFT of the work of God (the Father) AFTER Jesus death and ressurecction to create Christ in us so that we would not boast (that He already accepts us the way we are) because we are given the faith first, so that we can receive grace (in all of its teaching) to have the obedience to perform His will for His good pleasure (Eph 2:10-8, Rom 1:5, Phil 2:13). I think you really need to spend some real quiet time going over this post and asking God for some understanding, so that you would not have ignorance in the fact that God accepts us, not the other way around. Next time you respond it should be within the scriptures, not your opinion, because love edifies in the truth, not opinions (Rom 15:2) We are only edified and ministered to by the word of truth which is all about grace (Eph 4:29) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
