Guest HIS girl
I haven't read a lot on where/how evil came about - there are just TOO many books to read at the moment.... I HAVE read though, that evil is a key factor in using/having "freewill".....(remember, these are not my personal views - I am just discussing what I have read). What I put forth in the original post and now this, I have never come across before. Isaiah 45 says that God creates evil. The Hebrew word is 'ra'. That sounds scary. To get around the thought that God created evil, we try to say he means calamity, but 'ra' means EVIL. So how can we justify the idea of a Holy God creating moral evil? God created the PRINCIPLE of evil. Not evil deeds, but the moral absolute behind them that defines what evil IS. God created the standard of what is evil. Have you wondered WHY God would do this and what have you figured thus far? I'm very interested to hear peoples theories.
Guest man
BUT then I thought of Heaven - and the absence of evil - we will be LIVING and being completely sustained by God's goodness - we will SEE and be AWARE of His Majesty - no need for evil to prove it. The concept of evil does not exist within the heart of a new born child. I beg to differ. It's dormant. It will come out eventually. The child is not aware of evil. So when a child of God enters the kingdom, you're saying it's only a matter of time before that individual begans sinning again.
Guest HIS girl
Let's see. Because God created everything - then He must have created evil. The thing is - how we see evil - is that how God views it? I wonder - did evil exist pre-Lucifer and other fallen angels - or was BECAUSE of it? And also - can something cease to exist since God made it? In Heaven there will be no sin/evil - That brings me to think sin/evil is completely in Hell...once all is said and done with this World. thoughts? Guest man
The thing is - how we see evil - is that how God views it? Sin is evil. No matter how great or small that sin appears to be, evil is still evil and sin is still sin. That's how I believe God views evil. And also - can something cease to exist since God made it? In Heaven there will be no sin/evil - That brings me to think sin/evil is completely in Hell...once all is said and done with this World. thoughts? When all is said and done, for those who make it into the kingdom, evil will cease to exist.
Guest HIS girl
I wonder - did evil exist pre-Lucifer and other fallen angels - or was BECAUSE of it? Thoughts on this? The Tree of the knowledge of good and evil was in the Garden of Eden before the Fall of man. I'm thinking was evil "actualised" because of the Fall of man. In a sense - was it only the "theory" of evil and once man committed sin - evil was now in "motion"..? So out of disobedience - it was mobilised. The Tree of the knowledge of good and evil was in the garden before Adam. Adam didn't set evil into motion, he succumbed to it.

Guest man
So the big question is - why is there evil? Without evil or bad, how would one know what the definition of good or righteous is? The lord is searching for those who are truly righteous. He gave us an example of what true righteousness is. That's what He's looking for. I think evil has it's place in the world and the Lord put it there for a reason. But just because it's there, doesn't mean it has to be a part of anyones life. Just a thought. Its desires make for sin. It has to be controlled, hence the admonition to be self controlled as a fruit of the spirit. I thought you meant a baby. If we yield to the flesh, then the flesh will sin. The seed of the Spirit which is from God, the Christ nature, DOES NOT and CAN NOT sin. (John)
Guest HIS girl
'man' - Without evil or bad, how would one know what the definition of good or righteous is? That's the tangent the guy in this book was on - evil is "used" to show God's goodness - by comparison.
