Restoring Rulership in the Third Heaven. (a)

 

The Body of Christ is Expectant.

The believers are waiting eagerly, looking expectantly for the coming for the Lord. This is a very important attitude as many will be too busy about their earthly cares and material possessions.

`To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time,..`(Heb. 9: 28)

`...exhorting one another and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.` (Heb. 10: 25)

 

The Body of Christ had come to Maturity.

When the Body of Christ has come to understand the complete purposes of God through Jesus Christ it will then be completed.

`...till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God to a perfect, (mature) man, to the measure of the fullness of the stature of Christ.` (Eph. 4: 13)

 

The Father sends Jesus Christ.

God the Father then sends Jesus to connect with His Body.

`God...may send Jesus Christ...whom heaven must receive until the restoration of all things, of which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.` (Acts 3: 20 & 21)

 With Jesus will be those of the Body who are `asleep` in Him.

`God will bring with Him, (Jesus) those who sleep in Jesus.....the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God.

 

The Body of Christ goes to the Third Heaven.

Jesus descends to the clouds, those asleep in Christ go to the earth and receive their new bodies. Then we who are alive will also be changed and caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.

And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.` (1 Thess. 4: 14 - 17)

Then the whole Body of Christ goes with the Lord Jesus Christ to the third heaven to rule and reign with Him.

 

Note: (The Old Testament Saints are still in the General Assembly awaiting their inheritance.)

This world sucks and has done for all of my life. so its ‘easy’ to ‘wait eagerly’ its just all the distractions big ones at that!

I am nervous that I wont understand or get what this truly means. What if I misunderstand or just don’t really get it?

Body of Christ matured indicates a working and not something passive. ie go to church each week for an hour and then continue living in a worldly way

Hi mabel,

I think all of us should be `reverently` fearful that we `get what this truly means.` And yes it is a work in progress to come to the full truth. Let me give you the simplified versions.

Our salvation & inheritance - Simplified version.

1. Jesus is our Saviour.

2. The Holy Spirit is making us like Christ (attitudes) and guiding us into all truth.

3. We will go to be with the Lord in heaven.

 

As to God`s Eternal Purposes - Simplified version.

1. Angels and man had an opportunity to rule righteously but rebelled.

2. Christ came and paid the price for victory over the enemy.

3. Christ will restore righteous rulership in every realm under His Lordship.

 

I always like the bottom line as then details will fit into that. It is like looking at the cover of a jig-saw puzzle before you put all the bits together. Too often people are trying to fit all the pieces in God`s word according to their own thoughts. Not good. God says what He means and means what He says.

thanks Maz yes that helps a lot. its so important to understand the basics which is where i am still! it helps when the false teachers arrive on your path. especially the salvation and works that they seem to peddle
