Revelation. VISION 1. CHRIST THE HEAD. Christ Appearing for the Body of Christ.

Christ Appearing for the Body of Christ.  (The Morning Star. Rev. 2: 28)

`I will give him the morning star.` (Rev. 2: 28)

The morning star is the herald of the coming day. It is seen only by the `watchers,` or the early risers.

In the spiritual heavens, Christ is also the Bright and Morning Star.

`I am the bright and Morning Star.` (Rev. 22: 16)

He is the One whom we eagerly await. We look to His `appearing.`

`Finally there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness,

which the Lord the righteous judge, will give to me on that day,

and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing.`

                                                                                                                      (2 Tim. 4: 8)

Appearing – Gk. `epiphaneia,` meaning – manifestation, brightness, to become visible, conspicuous.

We are encouraged to eagerly wait for the Lord to come again.

`To those who eagerly wait for him

He will appear a second time,

                                                    apart from sin, for salvation.`

                                                                                       (Heb. 9: 28)

And when Christ `appears,` we shall become like Him, changed and taken to glory.

`When Christ, who is our life appears,

then you also will appear with Him in glory.`

                                                                                               (Col. 3: 4)

Now I get very confused about the morning star as I thought that was Lucifer.

Yes the key word ‘appearing’ in that situation, not every eye will see him, unlike when the Lord  returns again

Return; come back again

When Jesus first came he came as the suffering servant and the second time he comes back as a formidable warrior…

Appearing, to become visible, the act of coming into view

See; with the eyes

To see is somewhat akin to the saying I will only believe it if I see it

Appearing is you could say a faith based ….

Oh wowza’s didn’t realise that, (looking at the diagram) the Morning Star is (rapture)

Hi mabel,

Good observations there.

Yes Lucifer was called the `Son of the morning.` (Isa. 14:12) This means he was `appointed,` (another meaning of `son.`) God appointed Lucifer to be the anointed cherub on God`s holy mountain. (Ez. 28: 14) Lucifer had great wisdom, beauty and splendour, (light/glory). (Ez. 28: 7)

However as we know he became proud and God cast him from the angelic realm, the third heaven. ( Atmospheric heavens are no. 1, the universal heavens are no. 2, and the angelic realm is called the third heaven.)

Then when Lucifer/Satan usurped the Universal realm, (known as principalities and powers) then he set about trying t take over God`s creation. He deceives and transforms himself into an angel of light, (splendour, beauty etc) (2 Cor.11: 14) And thus we see why people get transfixed with false things. They are drawn to the glitter, the beauty, the so called wisdom, but it is all false, deceptions.

So although Lucifer had the same name, he was only `appointed,` then cast out. Jesus however IS the light, symbolised by the `morning star.` When He appears for us our spirits will know and we will be drawn to Him. No one else will know. Just prior to that God`s word says that we will encourage & warn each other all the more as we see the day approaching. (Heb. 10: 25)

We are not in darkness but walk in His light and will know more and more as the Lord prepares to come for us. He will come as the Head of the Body. We are His Body of believers.

`But you, brethren are not in darkness, so that this day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day.We are not of the night nor of darkness.` (1 Thess. 5: 4 & 5)

Then when the Lord comes to deliver Israel and judge the Nations, then He will be in great power and great glory, as the fierce warrior, as you said. That is on the next post.

Jesus was begotten and Lucifer was created is that right?
