Revelation. VISION 3. CHRIST THE MEDIATOR. The 7 Trumpets.

The 7 Trumpets: God`s Call to Repentance & Judgment.

                                        `Then the angel took the censer;

filled it with fire from the altar, & threw it to earth.....

So the 7 angels who had the 7 trumpets prepared themselves to sound.`

                                                                                                                      (Rev. 8: 5 & 6)

The time for the purification of Israel and judgment upon the Nations has come.

Note the blowing of the trumpets was a priestly activity and thus we see Christ the High Priest controlling this from the heavenly sanctuary. It was only when Christ as the angel threw the fire to the earth that the 7 angels prepared to sound.

The first four trumpet calls are during the early part of the tribulation and affects a third of the earth, the sea, the water and the stars. This would bring about great hardship of famine, lack of fresh water, and great fear. Now we can see why the great multitude from the tribulation, died of hunger, thirst and heat. However we see that they heard `the trumpet call,` and repented before God.                                                           (Rev. 7: 16)

The Beginning of the Tribulation.

The 1st Trumpet sounded -     (great heat and famine)

`and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood

and they were thrown to the earth,

and a third of the earth, and a third of the trees were burned up,

and all the green grass was burnt up.`

                                                                                                                      (Rev.8: 7)

The 2nd Trumpet sounded -    (Tsunami and sickness)

`and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea,

and a third of the sea became blood, and a third of the living creatures in the sea  died,

and a third of the ships were destroyed.`

                                                                                                  (Rev. 8: 8 & 9)

The 3rd Trumpet sounded -   (poison & thirst)

`and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch,

                                           and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters;

and the name of the star is Wormwood,

and a third of the waters became wormwood,

and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter, `

                                                                                      (Rev. 8: 10 & 11)

The 4th Trumpet sounded -    (darkness and cold)

`and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars,

so that a third of them were darkened,

and a third of the day did not shine and  likewise the night.

                                                                                                                (Rev. 8: 12)

Oh so this says Christ as the angel a little bit confusing…

Well regarding the tribs if you had a small amount of faith it would be somewhat dashed by the sheer fear all around…..

And yet people do come to faith \O/ albeit the hard way

The interesting thing about the Trumpets I find is that currently these things are ‘happening’ for instance the alarming rate of Earth Quakes that are happening around the world ( source; dutchsinse earthquake update. Very excellent reporting although quite lengthy)

Trumpet 1

The bush fires in Australia and the wild fires in America to name just a few examples.

Now the 2nd and 3rd Trumpet I am a little confused by am I correct in thinking that the 3rd Trumpet is known as Wormwood?

Trumpet 2

Now if this is wormwood it would make sense as this will create a Sunarmi on such a massive scale.

Its just that the star confuses me

Trumpet 3

https://echo.jpl.nasa.gov/asteroids/Apophis/apophis.2021.goldstone.planning.html

In 2021, Apophis will make a relatively distant approach to Earth at about 0.113 au in March, when it will be a weak radar target at Goldstone and a somewhat stronger target at Arecibo. Goldstone observations of Apophis are scheduled on March 3 - 14 and should provide echo power spectra and ranging observations.

Apophis – Evil and Chaos

Ancient Egyptian priests and laypeople would engage in rituals to protect Ra and destroy Apophis and, through these observances, linked the living with the dead and the natural order as established by the gods.

btw I am not saying that we are in the Tribs I am just finding things somewhat interesting you could say. A shadow of things to come

Hi mabel,

Thanks for you input. Quite interesting. Yes a foretaste of what is to come.

About Jesus being described as an  `angel.` Actually the word in Greek can mean `messenger.`And Jesus is called the `Messenger of the Covenant. `(Micah 3: 1)

We need to remember that the Lord is described in many ways - lion, lamb, gem stones, sun, star, lily, rose, fragrance, owl, hen, skins of tabernacle, ark of the covenant, tree, etc, etc.

So describing the Lord as an angel, or heavenly messenger, is just to give us an idea of some aspect of Him. So as the Mediator, we see Him as the `messenger of the covenant.`(see also Rev. 10 & the mighty angel)

We can know if it is the Lord by what He is doing.

The Lord as the angel/messenger at the altar of incense, (Rev. 8) for only He is the High Priest in the heavenly realms interceding.

The Lord as the angel/messenger casting fire onto the earth, (Rev. 8: 5) as the Lord said that He would do that. (Luke 12: 49 `I came to send fire on the earth...` )

The Lord as the angel/messenger of the covenant in Rev. 10 with the rainbow over His head, as a sign of the covenant. Also His face as the sun. (see Rev. 10: 1  & Rev. 1: 16)
