THE MILLENNIUM             (Rev. 20)

The Millennium is the time which God promised to the nation of Israel. They would be the rulers over the nations of the world, under God. Satan would be bound for this period, and man will be able to learn God`s ways. The Lord Jesus will rule through Israel with a rod of iron, meaning consequences for actions.

Judgments

Satan is cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years while Israel rules the nations of the world under Christ`s authority. He will be released after that time so as to test those upon the earth whether they will follow God or Satan.

`Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven,

having the key to the bottomless pit & a great chain in his hand.

He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil & Satan,

                                                and bound him for a 1,000 years;

and cast him into the bottomless pit, & shut him up, and set a seal on him,

so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished.

But after these things he must be released for a little while.

                                                                                                                             (Rev. 20: 1 – 3)

The nations are also brought under Christ`s judgment when He returns. Those that looked after `His brethren,` the Jews will be able to go into the millennium while the others will be taken away in judgment. (Matt. 25: 31 - 46)

Rewards

Those of the nations who did look after Christ`s brethren, the Jews will go into the Millennium, (Matt. 25: 34 & 40) plus those of Israel (Zech. 13: 8 & 9) who receive their Messiah. The martyrs who had not worshipped the beast will be given life again and serve Christ as priests throughout the Millennium.

`And I saw thrones, & they sat on them,

and judgment was committed to them.

And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus & for the word of God,

who had not worshipped the beast or His image,

and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands.

And they lived & reigned with Christ for a 1,000 years.

But the rest of the dead did not live again until the 1,000 years were finished.

This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.

Over such the second death has no power,

but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with Him a 1,000 years.`

                                                                                                                                  (Rev. 20: 4 - 6)

So where is Christ when this is happening?

So people who by some miracle survive and get through the tribs and don’t end up worshiping the beast will go into the Millennium. Do the people who are in the Millennium have Eternal life or do they die and where do they go if that is the case?

As always mabel such great questions.

1. The Lord is as always ruling from His seat of power and authority in the third heaven, far above all.

`God...seated Him (Christ) at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.` (Eph. 1: 20 & 21)

(Note a man called David will be ruling as regent king in Israel in the millennium. Ez. 37: 24.  Jer. 30: 9)

2. Those who look after the Jews, (the Lord`s brethren at that time in the trib,) if they survive will go through into the millennium. (Matt. 25: 31: 46)

3. These people in the millennium will have longer lives due to no wars and a more peaceful, farming type life. (Isa. 65: 30. Micah 4: 1 - 3) They will die eventually. Those who turn to God and walk in His ways, (Micah 4: 2) will get judged by their works, (righteous) at the great white throne and then go onto the new earth. Those who do not turn to God will be eventually judged and go to the Lake of fire.

Yes we all have so much to learn and that is the exciting part of the journey as God unfolds more of His word to us, about His great love and faithfulness to all in whatever time period they/we are.
