OVERVIEW.

`All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.` (2 Tim. 3: 16 & 17)

All scripture is for us to read and learn from however, it is not all about us. God has purposes for three groups - the Body of Christ, for Israel and for the Nations.

The Lord`s Feasts are mainly to do with God`s purpose for Israel. However, we, as the Body of Christ can learn of Christ, His character, His work and His purpose for Israel.

`The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: `The Feasts of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are my feasts.” (Lev. 23: 1 & 2)

God gave Israel the Feasts as a reminder of what God had done for them in the past and they also were a Prophetic Calendar to be fulfilled from Calvary to the Davidic Kingdom, the Lord`s rule through Israel over the nations.

The Feasts are solemn appointed or set times, with Jerusalem as the Meeting place.

Each year Israel`s calendar revolved around the harvests and their appointed times, God`s Feast times. Some were a special day and some were a week or more. Most months of the calendar had a Feast and a reminder of something in Israel`s history. Then looking forward to their fulfillment we see that God`s timing is so accurate, from a special day to days.

Further Feast days were added to the main festivals, and these are related to Israel`s final chastisement. These have special dates and help us to work out God`s timeline for Israel and their eventual National Deliverance.

As we learn the times and dates concerning the 7 years and beyond, we can have a good idea of when the rapture will be - before the beginning of the 7 years.

May we all find encouragement to see that God has foretold coming events and unfolding purpose for - the Body of Christ, for Israel and for the nations.
