Daniel - The Throne Room.

The Throne Room.

After the vision of the great powers, (beasts) Daniel kept looking and was shown a truly amazing scene. This was the very throne room of God in the third heaven with the Ancient of Days on His throne.

It is the Lord Himself in His ageless, timeless, changeless character. His white garment symbolizes His purity, His holiness, while His hair like pure wool indicates His great wisdom.

The fiery flame of His throne issuing forth a fiery stream, reveals that this is a judgment throne, while the myriad of angelic beings before Him shows the immensity of His authority and power.

This is the heavenly court room. The books are opened and the One who will bring judgment steps forward. It is the Lord in His glorified body. He conquered sin and death and is the worthy One to receive the `dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. ` (Dan. 7: 14)

(Note: The picture we see is revealing to us the two aspects of the Lord – as God and as the glorified man.)

What a momentous event we are privileged to behold through scripture. The High court judge and the heavenly court, from which there is no appeal, pronounce the judgments.

` the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High.` (Dan. 7: 22)

Then for the final Gentile Rulership, and ruler, the heavenly court `shall take away his dominion, to consume and destroy it forever.` (Dan. 7: 26)

`Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.` (Dan. 7: 27)

The Lord rules through the saints of Israel in the millennial kingdom. All the nations that do not go up to attack Israel shall come under His rulership. They will learn the ways of the Lord and there will be no more war. Jerusalem will be the center of government bringing peace and a righteous rulership throughout the earth. God`s glory will be over Jerusalem. (Micah 4: 1 – 5)

Hmmmn I am reminded that the pope wears white. Come to that why does the pope wear white? And has that been the case since the popes started out back in 320 AD or thereabouts

White robes were what the Priests wore in the OT. Trying to be special, holy etc.

The white garments of the Lord represent His holy Character.

oh ok so the pope is saying he is Holy then and special and has a Holy Character ...but that was the OT and we are in the NT so i am somewhat confused

If you look at a RCC building inside they are somewhat set up like the Jewish temple. The general area, the candles, further on, the wine and wafer, (bread) and right at the back the Holy of Holies, with the monstrance, sun on a stand being the Lord. Thus, the men wear the robes of white and even coloured ones for special occasions.

The RCC believe they have taken over from Israel now, so thus the similarity and trying to look `holy.`

oh wow that explains the replacement theology, wow i now understand this clearly now. as i couldn't understand why a religion would be in the 0T that has clarified the confusion and by extension then the c of e (church of England-Anglican/Protestant) is also doing this. they wear the long robes do the candles and the table of communion and have coloured long robes for 'special occasions' and follow a strict liturgical year. lots of similarities

So glad that it has become clearer for you. Once you see all the incense and robes and settings it becomes very clear they are trying to be the new Israel. Some people love all that stuff. Obviously don`t read their Bible.

i just 'couldnt see it' in plain sight saints preserve me! one thing for sure it is so different to the early church - the early church was replaced in 32AD is my understanding to what we have today. prior to that it was more Pauline..grass roots and simple. will have to study this as i don't  have any knowledge as such. to see how different the 2 are

Hi @existential mabel I do think Acts 2.42 activities continue unto this day...........

that might be so but its 'lost' in tradition and layers of church life. its corporate rather than personal, which fosters the thought of oh i cant possibly pray because i am not good enough, based on my own experience.

Yes, the system can make people feel `not good enough,` not praying long enough, loud enough, holy enough, etc.

However, there are many, many people now who have left man`s religious system and meeting together in 2`s and 3`s or more as the Lord has said, He would be in their midst.

We do that over here in our area.
