Topic 3: A Great Earthquake

Ezekiel 38:19 “For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: ‘Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, 20 so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.’”

Zechariah 14:3 Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, like the day of His fighting in the day of battle. [= Joshua’s Long Day, Joshua 10:12-14: “…for the LORD fought for Israel.”] And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in half, from east to west, making a very large valley; half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 Then you shall flee through [? or to?] My mountain valley, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Thus the LORD my God will come, and all the saints with You. … 10 All the land shall be transformed to be like the Arabah from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem.

Revelation 16:18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.

This earthquake will be the greatest of the three “great earthquakes” foretold in Revelation 6:12, 11:13, and 16:18. Just as there likewise were three great earthquakes during the era of the Exodus; which era was a type and a shadowing of End Time events. See:
