THE NORTHERN BEAR

Russia was once part of the great monolithic structure, the Soviet Union. The word `Soviet,` means council, and denotes a method of republican government. This huge Union, the USSR, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics  came into being after the First World War (1917) when the revolutionaries forced the Tsar to abdicate.

It stretched from one sea (the Baltic, in the West) to the other, (the Bering sea in the East). It devoured country after country into one monolithic dominion, behind the `iron curtain.`

The Soviet Union tried to portray its self as a `cuddly bear,` as seen in this Olympic poster,  however in reality, the Soviet Union was a `ferocious bear.`

The Prophet Daniel was given a vision of this monolithic `beastly` power, the Soviet Union.
 

                                 `And suddenly another beast,

                                               like a bear.

                                   It was raised up on one side,

                  and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth.

                                           And they said to it,

                                    “Arise, devour much flesh!”

                                                                                    (Dan. 7: 5)

 

The Soviet communists have had a very bloody history. A history of wars, of confrontations and invasions. They have executed an estimate of 40 million people in their prisons and concentration camps.

When the `bear` begins to move with the `three ribs` (three outside nations) then that will be the sign of the coming war.

gosh that is a lot of countries. it seems they are in the 18th century mindset still. regarding acquisition of other countries/ nations.

Around this time, Sheikh Mansur, a Chechen imam, began preaching a purified version of Islam and encouraging the various mountain peoples of the North Caucasus to unite under the banner of Islam in order to protect themselves from further foreign encroachments. His activities were seen by the Russians as a threat to their own interests in the region, and in 1785, a force was sent to capture him. Failing to do so, it burned his unoccupied home village instead, but the force was ambushed by Mansur's followers on its return journey and annihilated, beginning the first Chechen–Russian war.

makes me wonder if these conflicts hadn't happened, then would that part of the world be moslum? and if so wouldn't we have had the end times earlier hmmmn . so why this delay ........

Hi mabel,

Interesting info, thanks. As to the `delay,` God`s timing is for the Body of Christ to come to maturity first. Along side that God is bringing the nations into great Federations and then he will judge them.

The world recognises 3 great Federations plus the UN, (which is under the control of the others.) They call them the Big 4, or the Quartet of Power -

1. The British Commonwealth and America. (always support each other)

2. The Russian Federation.

3. The European Union.

The 4th to come is the Islamic Federation and that is the topic of my next series - `Islam Rising.`

Yes God is so in control. Tomorrow I will post `God`s hooks` and you will see how really, really close we are to the Russian War.
