  1. David, Can you tell me more about your thoughts on sin? guard12n
  2. God did not Create Christ. Christ is God. If this is true, then how would the passages "only begotten son of god" and "we are all brothers and sisters in Christ" fit in? guard12n
  3. Can you provide Biblical support for the impression that you have that we pre-existed our conception? I think it might help to explain the beginning from the beginning. Genesis 1:3 - God created Christ... (the light) Genesis 1:26 - God and Christ ("let us create") created spiritual "MAN" (our spirit self being both Male and Female) in his own image Genesis 2:7 - Christ with God's blessing created man in human form with a living soul (Adam) Genesis 2:22 - Christ with God's blessing splits man into male and female (the hebrew word for rib also means side) Genesis 2:25 - They were both naked and not ashamed (neither had begun to move away from god by choosing selfish actions) _______________________________ Ephesians 1:4 - For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love Ephesians 3:9 - And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ _______________________________ Let me know if this helps any. I see what you are asking and like where you are going. guard12n
  4. "My questions is what is the complete work of the cross?" It starts with Adam falling. Christ, the first Adam. Remember he is the first and the last. By overcoming the world, he shows us the way to complete our spiritual self. By dying on the cross, he showed the ultimate sacrifice that any of us might take up our own cross and follow him. Remember though, each of us has our own journey, so don't expect to be crucified. You have your own journey doing the will of God. With Christ within each of us, and the Holy Spirit to guide us, our journey can be understood and our yoke light. Every day start by removing your selfish side (dying daily - Paul) and ask Christ to fill you with the Holy Spirit so that God's will can be done. At some point in your journey, this question will be answered from within you. (remember, the kingdom of God is within us - Luke) with selfless love, guard12n
  5. I'm under the impression that our life is governed by free will. This being said, I believe that there is good and evil that can grow or shrink within us based on our thoughts and actions. The good seed within us is Christ (selfless love), the evil seed is sometimes referred to as Satan, but Belial (selfish desire) is more appropriate. Just as a plant grows with attention and care, so do these seeds. And if you completely focus on one, the other shrinks and eventually could die. So how would this lady that felt possessed heal?... The same way that any of us can - Through the Christ within us. Through selfless actions and thoughts. (love) Now, there is a real possibility of possession, but it involves choosing to take part in actions that could remove your spirit from your soul (even temporarily) and allow another spirit to enter your body. This is not an easy process and usually involves a serious commitment from the person though intentional actions, submissive thoughts, and a very weak Christ within. If this woman lead a life of selfish action and thought with very little self-less love, then sure, a possession might have occurred. Christ cast out demons (legion for example) and various possessions require various types of commitment, some are as easily released as calling on the name of Christ, but some also require fasting and prayer to heal the person. I'm under the impression that each day should start with a conscious emptying of your selfish self and asking Christ to fill you with the Holy Spirit and guide you to do God's will. Then as the day progresses, use this question as your compass as decisions need to be made. Does this decision lead to a personal gain for my-self? Yes - feeds your Selfish seed No - feeds Christ within
  6. I'm under the impression that we were spirits that were separated into male and female when we entered the earth. I believe the relationship between men and women is similar to the sun and earth. It appears that you are correct about the current process... men do chase women, but I believe it was and needs to return to the other way around. Similar to how the sun gives heat, light, gravity, and other forms of energy to the earth, men should be a beacon in the darkness giving unselfishly to our wife and children and showing love in proper ways (without expecting a return of praise or sex). If done correctly, then the option is there for the woman to stop desiring the "chase" and begin using the husband's love to create (children, relationships, etc.) - Just like the relationship with the earth and all of us. Back to the "Apple" issue with eve... if /when we were one, both male and female, the male part being the center and the female part surrounding the center, what part might have "fallen" first if changes occurred to interrupt the perfect harmony of the spirit? It makes sense to me to assume that the earth would be struck or shifted by an outside event before the sun is affected. my two cents... Guard12n
