  1. Lol, i don't blame you.
  2. Lol yeh... Although I still love my icecream even in the snow!
  3. Thanks Andy! All we're supposed to have is water during a fast... But it is so important as you said to tackle things one thing at a time. The point of the course it to make our one desire for Christ, so yeh we've gotta be able to focus on God! I reckon 1 tea and 1 coffee should be ok during fasts for the next couple of weeks. Just make sure you put a little bit of milk in them so you don't stuff up your tummy! Been praying for you! I'm going alright, thanks. It's 42.5 degrees here lol so I REALLY feel like eating icecream but I haven't, lol. Made some lemon iceblocks so I'm not tempted to be greedy with them cause they're not that nice, lol! I'm so happy we're still going by God's grace! Remember to keep praying and praying!
  4. Andy I tried a few weeks ago and I lasted 2 weeks without a hint of caffeine. It was horrible!! So I really suggest just cutting back on caffeine and weaning yourself off it. I know it's so hard when you're supposed to be fasting and everything, but weaning off it is so important, because at the moment your body is quite dependant on it to function properly. So the idea about half decaf sounds like a good idea to me... Just make sure you don't start having more cups of coffee a day because of it! Cut back to half in the first week, then half that for week 2. Gradually cutting back will make it more likely that you'll actually be able to stay off it! Rather than going a week with no coffee then going straight back to having twice as much as before, lol! Andy I am so happy you hate being a slave to coffee. It is one of those things that people like to think isn't a sin, but it really can be sinful. I will keep praying for you sis I really think it's a good idea to cut down gradually. i know you hate it because it's a sin, but because our flesh is bound in sin, it is one of those things that we just need to cut down on gradually to be able to stay off, when you get all the withdrawral symptoms like we do!
  5. Lol, I guess that would work well if you have money to spare! Many people I know would sure benefit from doing that!
  6. Wow a two hour walk!!! That's amazing!
  7. Yay Andy! You're still going so well!
  8. I felt sooo bad for laughing at that!! It's so true though. It's terrible! And #3 is definately me... Even when I'm comparing how much I eat to my fiance who is about twice my height (just a little exaggeration...)! #4 I completely agree with.... Are you saying that's not how it works?
  9. Aaah I'm writing this cause i've gotta stop eating now! Ok so I basically just had braekfast and lunch in the last 20 minutes, lol No more till dinner! How are you going Andy? Hope you survive the Christmas party!
  10. I know what you mean. The bible tells us that when we are not welcome ,to brush off our sandals and move on. But that passage has a different meaning... To my knowledge it isn't about praying for salvation for people.
  11. I've never eaten a mouse before...hehe just kidding! Deary me... I've gotta think of a new name for it so people stop making that joke, lol
  12. Hehe good work Andy. I'll have to take your word about the cake. I went the whole day until 7:00 without solids! Then I only had one dinner!! Same as last night's dinner.... We're going so well Andy by God's grace! Day 2 over! (as long as we make it through the night, lol) Yay! PS try the mousse soon! It's yummy!
  13. Oats and fruit are so healthy! And great for cholesterol levels, lol. Tomorrow bring veggie sticks with dip. If it was me i'd put HEAPS of garlic in the dip so you only have a tiny bit with each veggie snack, lol. It works! Or chilli or something if you don't want a horrible breath! Or you could just be really self-controlled and just not eat much dip.... hehe Uuum.... I'll think more about what you can do for nibblies and I'll let you know if I have any great ideas, lol Lucky Andy getting a WHOLE lolly! You're sure doing well though only eating a little bit Did ya get my lesson? I dunno if it sent through...
  14. Hi Veggietales (I'm wearing a Veggietales Tshirt at the moment, yay!) Always take what the bible says above man. If your minister plainly contradicts the scripture then he is in the wrong. It is pleasing to God when we come to Him in humble prayer, and I do think that praying for salvation for people is a good prayer and pleasing to Him. I too have been praying for several people for years that they would come before God in repentance and be saved... They still are dead in their sins though. I still pray for my parents every night though! Even though the situation may seem hopeless to us, we really can't know God's plan. Besides God does use our weaknesses to show His greatness and awesome power! So it is possible that it is pleasing to God for someone that is so set against Him will be saved, just to show everybody that it was only through a work of His grace and not through human means for the person to be saved.
  15. How're you going today Andy? I'm doing a liquids day! Ooh scary... So i had a cup of soymilk for breakfast.... About to have a big coffee!
  16. Wow OneLight I am a bit slow as I'm from Aussieland (no offense to all other Aussies...) but I just worked out how many kilos you convert to. Your pretty much the same hight and weight as one of my good friends. I used to be skinnier! lol
  17. Ooh poor Andy's baby.... lol good exercise. Good breakfast!! OneLight it must be so hard when people try to force you to eat. When I was so sick last year and lost heaps of weight I had the same thing happen, hence why I started eating so much more than I should to be healthy... Now I'm just in the habit of eating and eating and stuffing my face, and it is so sinful! I don't need to gain weight to survive, I am covered with it! I think one reason is that people just can't understand skinny people... It's like they are missing out of life when they aren't greedy. I was only skinny due to sickness but I still get the feeling this is how people think based on how so many people talked to me.
  18. Wow Andy! Superwoman!! I had 2 more oranges and another cup of soymilk Then I had carrot, turnip and celery and chickpeas again with some cashews and chicken! I think i ate too much though cause i'm soooooo full. Andy I read your name as "candy" lol
  19. I'm not home during the day, ever, but I still snack all the time. I'm not really a dinner eater though. Maybe I'm full from eating all day.... That'll do it! Small dinners are the way to go I reckon
  20. Wow, what went wrong? Well with diet food i tend to eat a LOT more! Maybe that's the problem??
  21. That sounds good but I eat ALL the time; I'm always hungry too, it's not eating out of boredom. I would be writing all day long. I don't tend to fat but carbs WILL put the weight on me. I tried Weight Watchers after my last baby and GAINED weight! Got the same problem here MG! I'm home all day so I eat all day! Eating eating, computer, eating... I'm not bored either, just food is so tasty!
  22. wow thanks artsylady for all of that!! Yeh i did the same... I was really skinny cause i had HEAPS of digestive problems for a year, then i tried really hard to put on weight so I ate like 4 times as many calories as i'm supposed to each day and put on too much weight! oops... So now i have to go back a little bit and try to do it all a bit slower... I guess moderation is the key. And yes I agree low carbs is a good start!
  23. Oh, you will be happy to know I found a Weight Watchers fudgsicle at Meijer a few weeks back. Only 100 calories. I could eat about 15 of these per day (If I ate nothing else all day!) Also for choc lovers, there are Jello puddings in the refrigerator section (only 60 cals each!) - all kinds of chocolate flavours plus dulce de leche (i just had one) Also chocolate mousse. Yes there is also "no added sugar" icecream! Unfortunately i'm lactose intollerant and i haven't found a soy icecream to make those same promises........
  24. Apparently they didn't fall out of the chocolate I broke in half and then ate. I wish calories fell out of icecream..... How's everyone going today with the healthy living!?
