  1. We need to urge our government to act and stop rewritting laws that they are unable to enforce. Tell them that whatever they do we must stop any more illegals from crossing the border before we concern ourselves with what to do with those that are already here. They are putting the cart before the horse. As it stands, if they deported ANY of them, they would be back in a matter of months. Please contact your state senators and tell them how you feel. We may not feel the need to form protests but we can still be heard. Its easy enough to find their email adresses online and you can even contact them through the senates web site.
  2. According to what I have been reading, they gave illegal immigrants amnesty back in 1986 an promissed to secure the border then. As you can see, two decades later, our southern border is still wide open and the exodus from the south continues. My primary concern is to see our southern border secured. What is equally disturbing is that the INS is unable to enforce the laws that already exist. Why should the senate or congress concern themselves with reforming the laws when they can't enforce those that are already in place? Just as one protester said, an illegal immigrant herself, she was not affraid to be sent back home, she would simply come back. Unless we cant stem the tide why concern ourselves with what to do with those that are aleady here? I have written my senators and urged them to press for tighter border security above all else. Please take the time to email your senators and urge them to fix the problem before the symptems (illegal immigrants and terrorists) become even more difficult to manage. I can't believe that two decades later and we are again having to remind our leaders to essentially close the border and fix the damage that has been caused.
  3. They will make it where they CAN get citizenship but it wont be easy to do. On the other hand, I haven't heard any proposals to increase the number of INS workers and the increase of 50% to the border patrol is a good start, but still inefficient. There have also been people within the INS that have said that there is corruption and a lackluster aproach to enforcement of immigration laws. Unless the government re-vamps the way they enforce the immigration laws, having new laws will be of little consequense.
  4. Somehow I don't like the idea of the state or federal government making it manditory to have health insurance. Instead of fixing the health care system itself they are just refinancing it. I don't think this aproach will set will with the rest of the country should other state governments decide to try this out.
  5. There have been instances, supposedly, where the IDF was force to bulldose groves of olive trees due to terrorists/militants foring their qasams from them. I fear that sitations such as that would only provide the soil in which deception can take root.
  6. Technicaly yes, but at this point it would only give the U.N. more reason to expect the U.S. to help finance whatever the U.N. plans on making plans to do, eventually.
  7. How can they expect us to believe they are willing to accept a two state sollution when they wont recognise Israels sovereignty and wont denounce violence against them? What they want and what they say they want are two very different things.

  9. It seems the Palestninian leadership, such as it is, does not realise that is a two way street. Israel does not have to recognise them either, hense the withholding of tax revenue. As long as the palestinian leadership refuses to recognise Israel and renounce violence against them, they have every right to withhold any funds they suspect could be used to fuel or finance violence against its citizens.
  10. God bless you. I'm sure you already know this, but there isn't much to becomming a Christian except accepting Jesus as your lord and saviour. The rest of the time is spent trying to become more like Christ. Not much more to it than that. Indeed its harder than it sounds, much harder, but still pretty simple.
  11. You guys hear about the "pork" book? 500,000 for a tea pot museum? what are they thinking? Waterless urinals research? 13 billion for some Ireland program? They definately need to shake the tree and get some of the spending monkeys out of it. Billions of dollars for programs, that passed only so that states senators or congressmen apear to be doing something other than trading votes like baseball cards.
  12. Its all posturing and propaganda. Without a doubt, Iran is flexing what muscle it has in an attempt to discourage any possible military action. In the same light, the U.S. government is attempting to reassure everyone that Irans "bark is bigger than its bite" as previous posts have stated.
  13. Well, I can honestly say I am doing better than I was four years ago. Then again, I have been saved since then too. I don't think "better off" is the term I would use, but in knowing Christ as my saviour, my future is brighter than it ever has been.
  14. You have to love how they lump spending bills together so they can garner support for heavier spending.
  15. Perhaps if they secured another source of oil they might not be so quick to threaten vetos on behalf of Iran.
  16. How about that outburst by the female lawyer? As they are showing images of ID cards of children that were supposedly linked with 250 other people accused of an assasination attempt, she hold up a picture related to the torturing at Abu Graib. What I can't understand is, it this woman were a lawyer, doesn't she know that images of Abu Graib have absolutly no bearing on this mans trial? I am glad they threw her out. Again, Saddams team continues to grandstand for his audience rather than deal with the charges against him. I guess he still believes they can insite a revolt in which the Iraqi people will free him and welcome him back to power. He doesn't realise that the people he oppressed and brutalised are now the ones in the drivers seat. This trial is going to take a very long time indeed. This last case, revolving around the deaths of something like 180 people in a small rural town, is just the tip of the iceburg. He has a long list of crimes against humanity for which he will tried. He has many deaths to answer for. Its still hard to imagine our government ever catering to the likes of him.
  17. This will turn out to be a blessing for Israel. Without a doubt, those who perished were simply caught off guard but it doesn't mean that these rains are a bad thing for Israel. May their crops flourish and as their enemies plot and curse them may God bless them even more.
  18. I think its inevitable. The government won't talk about it for obvious reasons but they will be maintaining a sisable force there indefinately, especially if they intend to continue to push democracy in the region. And with Iran ready and almost itching to make a show of force we cannot leave Iraq without the ability to fend them off. Any way you look at it, the U.S. government is not planning on loosing their foothold on the region.
  19. Its interesting to watch them flex their muscles considering how everything they do is for "peacefull purposes".
  20. If they had their wall up and perimiters established I think they would be better able to defend against these attacks. With todays technology they should not only ba able to shoot down even kasams but initiate retaliatory measures at the same time. Computer controlled defense sysytems could pinpoint the location any missiles where fired from and eliminate any threats in short order. Not unlike the movie "congo". I guess its just a little more complicated than that.
  21. Unfortunately they will first lash out at the palestinian christians, and there is little we can do but pray for them. Like a cancer it will continue to destroy whats left of the healthy (good) tissue untill it can only turn on itself and ultimately destroy the very thing that has kept it alive.
  22. Pahleeeese! As if they were cooperating or ever planned to. More useless posturing by Hamas as they pretend to care what the world community (in general) thinks.
  23. You know what they say "want in one hand........". They still havn't gotten the point. Sadly, they won't untill the end. They continue to put themselves at odds with Gods chosen and only reap misery because of it. The more they think and speak ill is Israel the more damage they do to their own cause. This "humanitarian crisis" in palestine will only get worse and the forces of evil will try to paint Israel as the cause of it. Its not hard to see where this is going.
  24. Against Palestinian targets? They do realise that there are no longer any Israelis there right? I do not sympathise with the "Palestinian" cause but I do feel badly for the Palestinian Christians. However, if any of them, endorse violence against Israel and speak ill of Gods' chosen then they will surely get what they deserve. If there are attacks against Palestinian targets by Al'queda it will certainly throw them into further turmoil. With Hamas not yeilding to increasing international preasure to acknowlege Israels right to exist they further isolate themselves from charitable sympathisers such as the west. Funds continue to dwindle and the very verbal Arabs states are not as forthcomming with monitary aid as they had previously boasted. Israel, with security a constant issue, must keep some roads closed as a precaution, preventing some aid from reaching palestinians who may be depending on it. In the end, the palestinians only have themselves to blame for fostering emnity between themselves and Israel.
