  1. It shouldn't be this hard for believers. Remember it's only the past 50 years or so (possibly not even) where couples often engaged in 'courtship' without the involvement and indeed supervision of their families. If you go it alone you lay yourself open to tempation and your beloved also. Where are your mutual friends in all this? The church elders? Surely you could be asking someone in your church these things rather than a discussion board? Also we are supposed to be about openness and honesty and not making each othjer stumble. If i get close to a girl and start 'snuggling, i'm normal and want to get closer. this is why things were the way they were for thousands of years before the modern shift away from the Law. This may sound as alien as the coneheads, but remember when Rebekah knew her future husband was approaching she put on her veil. A gracious act aimed to limit tempation of her intended before the wedding night. Looking at a lot of modern courtship behaviour with this righteous act in mind sort of makes you go wo, what is going on y'all? Pesonally i would like to be assured of my intended being my intended before i risked being alone with her. Not that i don't think i could resist the temptation, but my Life is difficult enough without MORE temptation. I hope I've helped you and maybe others with this saying. May God be with all faithful couples , helping them to stay faithful to him and true to each other, for their happiness in this world and the next.
  2. It's the truth. Not everyone's a prophet, yet they all want to be one. Welcome to the site. They should remember what Jesus said:whoever humbles himself will be exalted(duly praised). Whoever exalts himself will be humbled. It's a harsh lesson to have to learn first hand, i'm sure...
  3. You touched me by answering so promptly. Thank you whoever you are. What did you like most about what i said?
  4. I'm worried christians today may be worrying needlessly about things they have no real control over. Also some may be entering territory they were never meant to broach. The book of Daniel and the book of Ezekiel are difficult enough to delve into without touching on Revelations. I'm mightily worried that the warning finishing up the book, is a clue that people already have altered things. And considering the admonishment Jesus gave us about worrying about what even tomorrow might bring, you know , we have enough to worry about the troubles of today, never mind the heaviness of worrying about the long term portents contained in such books of prophecy. Some of us have been called to look into such things and have been shown things pertaining to the end. If these things are not self evident to you , fret not, for you are valued by God , who is the true Judge, more than many sparrows. And if all the hairs on your head are numbered, and rest assured they are, then He will certainly be making sure you know all you need to know. Shalom to all my brothers and sisters, and may God bless all of you in perpetuity.
