My name is Stephanie and I just want to introduce myself. I'm 44, single and from Cajun Country. I was saved when I was a child and have had a long and interesting journey of faith. I did all of the evangelical Southern Baptist churchy things, including 2.5 years in missions in Hawaii, and did them well until I burnt out. About 4 years ago I went through a serious bout of doubt and disbelief. I tried to quit believing but God just would not let me forget all that He had done in my life that could not be explained away. God just would not let me go.

In my journey back to faith I have been searching for authenticity, sound doctrine, sane worship and an emphasis on discipleship and discernment. I don't want what is found in so many of the evangelical churches today. In my searching I discovered the Doctrines of Grace and am definitely on a Reformed journey.

Enough of the serious stuff....

I love music, reading, artsy stuff, crafts, nature. God did create a beautiful world for us. I love my dogs most of the time but the yellow lab does tempt me to say bad words on a near daily basis because she's stubborn. She is very lovable though. I also have a German Shepherd who is my guardian angel.
