Hi Anne, God's blessings Scripture teaches that we are commanded (ordered/instructed) to do the works that Christ Jesus did. They are listed in the book. Walking with you in the spirit of peace and love. Your brethren in Christ, Repent1...

Greetings Loop, I pray you the Joy of the Everlasting Father Scirpture teaches that God is from Everlasting to Everlasting, and as to what he was doing before he created everything, the way that i see it, that is God's business. [isaiah 55:8-9] 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. From Everlasting to Everlasting...... [Psalms 41:13] Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. [Psalms 93:2] Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. [Habakkuk 1:12] Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction. [Romans 16:26] But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Your brethren in Christ, Repent1...

Greetings Anne, I pray you God's blessings I am in agreement with your testimony, I like your statement that I quoted "First true (Real; genuine) Faith (trust/confidence in the testimony of God), then the Desire (A wish or longing) to do God's will (pleasure) [Titus 2:1-15] 1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: 2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. 6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. 7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. 9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. Walking with you in the spirit of peace and love, your brethren in Christ, Repent1.....

Surely you can see that faith is much more than belief. Abraham's faith was his obedience. They are one and the same. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Greetings Dime, God's blessings May I humbly offer for your consideration, this verse from another view point? [Hebrews 11:8] By (according to) faith (trust/confidence in the testimony of God) Abraham, when he was called (summoned) to go out into a place which he should after receive (accept) for an inheritance, obeyed (complied); and he went out, not knowing whither he went. [My testimony] Because Abraham trusted God he obeyed (complied), his obedience was the by-product of his confidence (Faith) in the testimony of God. [Heb 11:17] By (according to) faith (trust/confidence in the testimony of God) Abraham, when he was tried (tested), offered up Isaac: and he that had received (accepted) the promises offered up his only begotten son. [Hebrews 11:32-40] And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith (trust/confidence in the testimony of God) subdued kingdoms, wrought (worked) righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received (accepted) their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting (receiving) deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted (provoked), were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. 39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith (confidence in the testimony of God), received not the promise: 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without (On the outside of) us should not be made perfect. [My testimony] In the Old Testament, God placed his testimony upon tables of stone, written with the finger of God. [Exodus 31:18] And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. [My testimony] In the reveling of the mystery in the New Testament, we now know that the testimony of God is Christ Jesus

Greetings fellow sojourners, I pray you all the Joy, Peace and Love of the Shepherd and Bishop of our Souls We know that we serve a God, who is Omnipotent (Having unlimited or universal power, authority, or force; all-powerful), and Omniscient (Having total knowledge; knowing everything), is this not true? Well, in light of this knowledge, I

Greetings Dime, God bless I've learned that Faith is defined as ("Trust in Christ"/ "Confidence in the testimony of God"), which is Christ. I would say that "Action" is the fruit of Faith (trust/confidence in the testimony of God). Without actions, trust (faith) is dead (unproductive), being alone (without equal). Food for thought Walking (operating) with you in the spirit of peace, love and prayer Your brethren in Christ, Repent1....

Greetings Anne, I pray you the joy, peace and love of the Father and the Son You gave an excellent testimony, when I read those passages I too hear the same message Verse 17 Even so faith (trust/confidence in the testimony of God), if it hath not works (actions/deeds/activities), is dead (unproductive), being alone (Without equal) Verse 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith (trust), and I have works (actions): shew (show) me thy faith (trust) without thy works (actions), and I will shew (show) thee my faith (trust in Christ) by my works (action/deeds/activities). Keep striving to please God.... Your brethren in Christ, Repent1....

One day, a long time ago, as I was walking down life's highway, I came across a sign that read "Heaven's Grocery Store." As I came a little closer the doors came open wide. And before I knew, I came to myself, I was standing inside. Everything a Christian needed was in that grocery store. All you couldn't carry you could come back the nextday for more. First I got some patience, love was in the same row. Further down was understanding, you need that everywhere you go. I got a box of wisdom, a bag, or two of faith. You just couldn't miss the Holy Spirit, for He was over the place. I got some strength and courage to help me run this race. By that time, my basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed some grace. I didn't forget salvation, for Salvation, that was free, so I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me. As I started down the aisle to pay my grocery bill, for I thought had everything to do my Master's will, I saw prayer, and I just had to put that in, for I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin. Peace and Joy were plentiful. They were on the last shelf. Song and Praise were hanging near, so I just helped myself. I saw an Angel, and I asked, "How much do I owe?" The angel, just smiled and said "My child, just take these everywhere you go." Again, I smiled at the angel and asked "Now, how much do I really Owe?!" The Angel said "JESUS PAID YOUR BILL A LONG TIME AGO." Author Unknown

Greetings Shiloh, God bless [You said] let me say again that there is no "pre-Mosaic" period relative to Passover. It does not come from a Spring festival, so there is no Spring festival to forget. [My testimony] I accept your knowledge of such things, that part of my posting was taken from the Encyclopedia, it is not my testimony, I was only referencing that source. [You said] Yes, and my only point was that communion comes directly out of Passover. It is a part of the Passover. A part of Passover that is still observed today, but observed in ignorance amongst unbelieving Jewish people. [My testimony] Shiloh, As I said, you and I are on the same page, I think that we were derailed for a moment by semantics. You also I think make a very powerful point when you address

I don't remember reading that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him. Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, "Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents 5 here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah." While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, 6 then from the cloud came a voice that said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him." When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, "Rise, and do not be afraid." And when the disciples raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone. Matthew 17: 1-8 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Greetings Jim, God Bless I would have to disagree with your statement that Jesus spoke with the dead. Elijah the Hebrew prophet who sought to abolish idolatry and restore justice. According to the Bible, he did not die but was carried skyward in a chariot of fire. Unlike Mary who sleeps in Christ awaiting the resurrection on the Lords Day. We who believe know that there will be a resurrection of the dead, as demonstrated in the book of Matthew: [Matthew 27:51-53] 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. [My testimony] I would suspect and suggest that Moses was one of the Saints that rose on that day. Walking with you in the spirit of peace and love, your brethren in Christ, Repent1....

Greetings followerofJesus, God bless In answer to your question, I would say neither, since scripture teaches that you must have the Combination of the two. You must believe (accept as true; trust (have faith)) and be baptized to have fellowship with Christ Jesus. [You say] Oh yeah the hail mary of the rosary is in scripture. [My question] Where? Your brethren in Christ, Repent1....

Greetings Jim, God bless Knowing that God hates a liar, can you honestly say that when you part-take of communion, that the bread taste like flesh to you or that the wine taste like blood? How would you explaine this verse? [i Corinthians 10:16] 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion (spiritual fellowship) of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion (spiritual fellowship) of the body of Christ? [My testimony] In this passage, as one selected from among many, Jesus testifies that he himself shall not eat of the bread until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God, nor drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God shall come, do you think that he was talking of munching on himself or drinking his own blood? Jesus also said: This cup is the new testament [in my blood], which is shed for you. (what do you think that he meant by this statement?) [Luke 22:15-20] And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 for I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 for I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. nebula [You said] Again I will refer you to shiloh's post: QUOTE Messianic Seders put communion back in its proper context. [My question] What does this statement mean
-
Hey nebula, God bless I am able to happily agree with your statement from this perpective, "He was declaring Himself to His disciples as the Passover", revealing that he was the covering that would deliver the believer out of the bondage of sin and that he was that power that would take away the sting of death. [Hebrews 9:18-28] 18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, 20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. 21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. [My testimony] I believe that communion is as I believe that I hear you saying, the true Passover celebration of the church, causing death to pass over the believer.
