  1. Greetings Suzanne, I pray you the blessings of the Father and the Son [You said] I believe that my own came in 2 parts, at 2 different times, with 2 necessary components. 1. belief & repentance 2. receiving of the Holy Spirit [My testimony] I believe you to be absolutely correct; except I believe that there is one more forgotten and necessary part, Baptism. The process is, Belief, repentance and baptism. John

    which commandments?

Greetings Wordsower, Praying you the joy, love and peace of the shepherd I believe that verses 21 and 22 are the moral to this story, the man was not willing to part with his earthly treasures to possess heavenly treasures, i.e.: [i John 2:15-17] 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. [My testimony] The man trusted and loved stuff more than he trusted and loved God Walking with you in the spirit of peace, your brethren in Christ, Repent1.....

    Riches In Heaven

Greetings Rootabagga I pray you the blessings of the shepherd of our souls [You said] My idea of all this is that I will be all I can be, with the Lords help, here on earth, help those in need, regardless of what may be waiting for me in heaven. To be totally honest, I don't even want recognition or a reward for doing things I have done. I do them because He has placed in me a desire, a yerning, for His Will. The work that is done is reward enough for me. I would much rather do something and have no one find out, rather then do something and have people know I did it (we are talking about a good thing here, not a bad thing ). Am I totally wacked on this idea? [My testimony] You have a great attitude and very clear discernment. God wants us to think good, feel good and do good towards each other, that

    which commandments?

Greetings His son, God's blessings [You said] The main point is that the keeping of the law can only be done by us if we love Him as He loves us. [My testimony] His, there are two great commandments, we can not demostrate the one unless we do the other: [Romans 13:8-10] 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. [My testimony] Love has been the commandment from the beginning: [Leviticus 19:18] Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. [My testimony] we demostrare our love for God, by how we treat and love our brethren/sisters. [i John 4:20-21] 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. which commandments?

Greetings RN2B I pray you blessings, Joy and the peace of the shepherd of our souls [You said] It's not a matter of law. It's a matter of love. The law and the prophets are fulfilled by the love which Jesus gave. If we walk by the spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit, we will be shown mercy accordingly. If we walk by the spirit of the law, we will be judged accordingly. [My testimony] No truer words were ever spoken, great testimony. On this morning, know this, that two agree: [Matthew 18:18-20] 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. 6. Greetings Heidi04, God bless I would humblely offer this testimony for your consideration I believe that [John 1:1-2] holds the clue to the mystery:In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. Q: What are your words? A: Your thoughts manifested in sounds. I would suggest to you that Jesus is the manifested thoughts of God. [Jesus' testimony] [John 5:19] Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. Scripture teaches that all things were spoken into existence by God, scripture also teaches: [John 1:3] All things were made by him (the word/God); and without him was not any thing made that was made. [My testimony] Whatever God thinks, that thing is manifested by his word. Then the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and it pleased the Father that in him dwelled all the fulnessof the Godhead, in bodily form. Jesus, the manifested thoughts of God the Father Your brethren in Christ, Repent1.....
  7. Greetings to all who love the brethren I pray you Joy and peace When speaking of works that please God, I humblely offer for your consideration, this food for thought [Titus 3:1-11] 1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work (action/deed/activity), 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing (showing) all meekness unto all men. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works (actions/deeds/activities). These things are good and profitable unto men. 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. 10 A man that is an heretick (one contrary to doctrine) after the first and second admonition (warning) reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. which commandments?

Greetings evangelina, I pray you the Joy of the shepherd [You said] I think they were an all new set of commands and only some are based on the old ones and some were opposite. [My question] Can you provide scripture that will support the new commandments, and any place where you find opposites? (Jesus fulfilled the law) [Romans 13:8;9] 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. [Matthew 19:16-23] 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. [i John 2:3-8] 7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. [My testimony] In the following verses John does reference a new commandment, that new command is the same as the old; "Love you one another, as you love yourself". Love is the foundation of all the commandments. Christ Jesus is the Love of God manifested. [John 13:34-35] 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. [iI John 1:5-6] 5 And now I beseech thee, lady (Church), not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk (operate) after his commandments (instructions). This is the commandment (order), That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk (operate) in it. [Testimony of God] [Leviticus 19:11-18] 11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another. 12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. 13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. 14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD. 15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour. 16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the LORD. 17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. [My testimony] Sounds like the same message (commandments) to me, maybe you will enlighten me to a difference. Walking with all people in the spirit of love, your brethren in Christ, Repent1......
  10. Greetings fellow sojourners, God's blessings [My testimony] Here is another example of what I see as works (actions/deeds/activities) that will please God. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, [do]: and the God of peace shall be with you [Philippians 4:8,9 KJV] Walking with all in the spirit of peace, your brethren in Christ, Repent1.......

    Greetings evangelina, God
  12. Hi evangelina, God's blessings I speak of the works (actions/deeds/activities) Against which there is no law. i.e Works upon ourself: [iI Peter 1: 1-12] Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, [add] to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Our works that we are commanded to do one to another: [Galatians 5:22-26] 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Your brethren in Christ, Repent1......

  19. Greetings Dime Ministries, I pray you the blessings of the Lord [You quoted] QUOTE (His son @ Oct 21 2004, 09:52 PM) Baptism is an outward expression of an inward conversion. [You ask] Can you provide us with a verse that says this? [My testimony] The like figure unto which even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him (1st Peter 3:20-22). The ark is now Christ, and to be saved, we must be in Christ. Baptism (an outward demonstration of an inward Grace) is that action, which symbolizes entering into the ark, and now we must live and move and have our being in Christ (acts 17:28) [Acts 2:38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost [My testimony] I
  20. Greetings catsmeow, God bless [You said] I hardly feel as a servant. I feel more as a small child, holding my Father's large, strong hand.... :a: [My testimony] I use the word servant because God calls us servants, for me it's an honor to be called a servant of God. Another word for servant is also "SON", I receive the same honor being called the son of God. Servant, son, slave, disciple, follower, they are all Synonymous with me. 22. THE ARMOR OF GOD Finally, my brethren, be strong in the lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness (ignorance) of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand the evil day, and having done all, to stand (to wait, esp. in anticipation: The condition of looking forward to something, especially with eagerness). Stand therefore, having your loins (waist) girt (surround) about with truth. (Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6), and having the breastplate of righteousness (Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained (Christ); whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him (Christ) from the dead (Acts 17:31). And your feet shod (put on like a shoe) with the preparation of the gospel of peace (And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Above all, taking the shield of faith (trust), (therefore being justified by faith (trust), we have peace with God through our lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1), wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation (And he (God) saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: Therefore his arm (Christ) brought salvation unto him (God); and his righteousness (Christ), it sustained him. For he (Christ) put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation (deliverance from the power and penalty of sin and death) upon his head; And he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak (Isaiah 59:17), and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God (In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God; John 1:1) (And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth; John 1:14) praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:10-18). When God instructed us to put on the full armor of God, he was simply telling us to put on Christ! (But ye put on the lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lust thereof (Romans 13:14). for as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ (Galatians 3:27). Who at one time were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was preparing, in which few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water; The like figure unto which even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him (1st Peter 3:20-22). The ark is now Christ, and to be saved, we must be in Christ. Baptism (an outward demonstration of an inward change) is that action, which symbolizes entering into the ark, and now we must live and move and have our being in Christ (acts 17:28) Know ye not that, as many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death ? Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death, that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (born again). For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection; Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. For if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him, Knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once; but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise, reckon (count) ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ, our lord. Let no sin, therefore, reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in its lust. Neither yield (surrender) ye your members as instruments (weapons) of unrighteousness unto sin, but yield (surrender) yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead (born again), and your members as instruments (weapons) of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion (power or control) over you; for ye are not under the law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not that to whom ye yield (surrender) yourselves servants (slaves) to obey, his servants (slaves) ye are whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that whereas ye were the servants of sin, ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being, then made free from sin, ye became the servants (slaves) of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity (weakness) of your flesh; for as ye have yielded (surrendered) your members servants (slaves) to uncleanness and to iniquity (wickedness), unto iniquity (wickedness); even so now yield (surrender) your members servants (slaves) to righteousness, unto holiness. For when ye were the servants (slaves) of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things of which ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants (slaves) to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our lord (Romans 6:3-23). As natural death frees a wife from the law of her husband, so crucifixion with Christ sets the believer free from the law (the old husband) and makes him/her eligible to be
  23. Greetings to all who love and serve the shephard (Doers of the word) While dwelling in praise, I thought I would share my thoughts, all Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit God made a covenant (an agreement) with us by Christ Jesus. And he gave us an assignment. our assignment is to be reconciled unto God (II Corinthians 5:1-21; Romans 8:13-14). we with a willing Heart and a willing Mind, must seek to be obedient to the instructions given according to the doctrine of Christ Jesus, who in the form of a man was our example. That we might see and know that we too can prove ourselves worthy of the Gift of God, not earn it, but prove yourself worthy (Colossians 1:9-23). 24. Greetings fellow sojourners, I pray you the peace, joy and the continued Love of the God of our Salvation This is my testimony to the issue of freewill........ The freewill which we are given by God is limited to two choices, by our choice we will decide to either serve God or we will decide to serve Satan. At this point we surrender our will unto the will of the one we chose. If we with a willing mind and a willing heart, choose God to serve, then we willingly surrender our will to the will of God, and dedicate our lives to doing the things of God (and God by the Holy Spirit strengthens, teaches, and guides us). If we decide not to serve God then the only choice left is to become a servant (slave) of Satan, then you will have surrendered your will to the will of Satan, and you are permitting him to have dominion (control) over your life. God warned the children from the beginning when he said: Deuteronomy 30: 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. Then God reaffirmed this warning in: Romans 6: 12-16: Let not sin therefore reign (rule) in your mortal (human) body, that ye should obey (serve) it in the lusts (desires) thereof. Neither yield (surrender) ye your members as instruments (weapons) of unrighteousness unto sin (lust): but yield (surrender) yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead (born again), and your members as instruments (weapons) of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion (control) over you: for ye are not under the (Leviticus) law, but under grace (the Omnipotent power of God working on your behalf). What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield (surrender) yourselves servants (slaves) to obey (serve), his servants (slaves) ye are to whom ye obey (serve); whether of sin (lust) unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Upon this testimony I rest my case, closing by reminding everyone that the Holy Spirit will bare witness to your spirit, and the Lord will read the truth of your heart. Of this you can be sure.
