  1. To say that God does not show favoritism means that God will throw into Hell anyone who doesn't repent, regardless of who they are. It doesn't mean that God will move everyone or no one to repent.
  2. The meaning of "hate": No, hate means hate. The best that can be said about Luke 14 and Prov 13 is that these verses are hyperbolic. God hated Esau, not loved him less.
  3. The Bible doesn't mention a lot of things the First Century Christians did. I refuted the claim of MJ that their judaization of Christianity is just following the First Century Christians. The Bible doesn't mention Rosh Hashanah. So, no, I don't notice the Bible speaking of Rosh Hashanah. It's bad enough to be trying to live in the shadows of the Old Testament, but to celebrate mockeries of biblical holidays? Rabbinic Jews have replaced the one-day Feast of Trumpets with a ridiculous two-day New Year's celebration in the 7th month, which is par for their willingness to follow the Hebrew scriptures. "If the Jewish ceremonies are venerable and great, our are lies… But now that the devil summons your wives to the feast of the Trumpets..." - Archbishop John Chrysostom (c. 349–407) "You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you." - St. Paul to the Galatians. The Magi and Shepherds celebrated the birth of Christ. My religion doesn't say to celebrate Christmas. So, I don't celebrate Christmas out of doctrine or of any sense of obligation or show of faith. But, theistic Jews celebrate Jewish holidays out of religious obligation. And, I do not celebrate a shadow of what is to come as if it hasn't come, but I celebrate what has come. I sure don't celebrate a mockery of a shadow of what is to come, as if it hasn't come. I celebrate the birth of my Lord and Savior.
  4. Messianic Jews incredulously claim to be trying to practice Christianity as the first century Christians practiced. However, there's no mention in the Bible of First Century Christians celebrating Rosh Hashanah or the Jewish New Year. The Old Testament also makes no mention of Rosh Hashanah. However, the Talmudic Bible does mention Rosh Hashanah. This is the same book that calls the virgin Mary a whore and says Jesus is in boiling excrement. Wikipedia says "Rosh Hashanah is observed on the first two days of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar. It is described in the Torah." Leviticus does describe a celebration on the first day of the 7th month, but it's not Rosh Hashanah. It's a one-day holiday called the Feast of Trumpets. And, uh, the 7th month on a 12-month calendar is the New Year? Happy Feast of Trumpets, not that anyone in the First Century Church is reported to have celebrated it. Further, St. Paul says, "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." Do you want to live in the the shadows, or do you want to live in Christ? (The Jews with what Paul called "unspiritual minds" were judging Christians for not celebrating Jewish holidays.)
  5. The facts in evidence are that the sea level has risen and ground water levels have fallen. You are rejecting the facts without providing any rational justification for doing so. The OP attributes 1.26 centimeters of ocean level increase to the pumping of ground water. That's not enough to flood cities. However, the fact is, according to the OP, ocean levels have risen 17cm over the same period, which calls attention to your next unjustified assertion, that coastal cities are not being flooded. I'd bet that coastal cities have faced flooding that reflects a 17cm rise in ocean level. Stop fighting facts.
  6. Liberals are motivated by their own prejudices; racism, sexism, and all kinds of bigotries. Because this is what motivates them, they think this is what motivates everyone else. Therefor, if you disagree wit them, the only reason they can see is that you hate them, or you're racist, or whatever label applies.
  7. In the 2008 presidential election, 8 out of 10 Jews voted for Obama, even knowing Obama's pro-Islam sympathies. The other 2 who voted for McCain is no proof of being for religious freedom or conservative. When it comes down to it, Jews tend to be very liberal and have very disproportional influence in our government. Take the Supreme Court for example, 33% is Jewish and they are 100% liberal, ignoring the Constitution to oppress Christianity and freedom. You might even say that Liberalism itself is a Jewish-led movement. Back in the USSR, I mean Israel, Messianic Jews will testify to the persecution they face from Jews. Most Evangelical Christian groups refrain from attempting to spread the Gospel in Israel because of Israeli hostility, in spite of these Christians being critical to Israel's financial support from the US. So, where are Christians persecuting Jews, or Messianic Jews?
  8. If the water isn't carried in the rivers, then it's carried by the clouds to the ocean. If you use a sprinkler to water your yard in the summer, half the water might evaporate the same day. And, then for the next several days, or weeks, the rest of the water will evaporate and the ground and plants will dry up without more water. Ground water isn't just the primary source of water for people in the country, but many cities have huge wells for their city water. The fact is, the water tables around the world are much lower than they use to be. This water has gone someplace. and that someplace is the ocean.
  9. The message of the dream wasn't to have nothing to do with Jesus, as that wasn't an option. The dream wasn't necessarily from God, maybe the dream was from the wive's own concern that an innocent man was going to be executed. She already knew that Jesus was innocent. The point of mentioning this dream in the Bible is to further establish that everyone knew Jesus was innocent. Pontius Pilate had already been desperately trying to free Jesus, and to have nothing to do with killing an innocent man.
  10. There is nothing pagan about a tree, per se. There is nothing pagan about Christians using trees in their celebration of Christ's birthday. A view to the contrary seems to me to be the very essence of legalism - and hypocrisy. Those who object to Christmas trees embrace all sorts of things of pagan origin - and, they don't care. Jews returned the favor? You mean like after Jesus went around getting the Romans to crucify Jews, only then did Jews do it to Jesus? After the Christians stoned many Christians, only then did Jews start stoning Christians? You mean after the Christians turned Rome against the Jews, only then did Jews turn Rome against Christians? Fast forward to today, Jews are persecuting Christians, but I don't see Christians persecuting Jews. Jews oppress Christians in Israel and powerful Jews in America are busy creating laws that are taking away our religious freedom out of hatred of Christianity. We have no early Gospel written in anything but Greek. What is Hebrew thought? Who's doing this hating of Christians?
  11. It sounds like you hate Christianity, i.e. Christ. You claim that Messianic Jews mostly describe themselves as such to show Jews they're not anti-semitic. Your error is exposed in the fact that Jews have an especially high dislike of Messianic Jews, beyond that of other Christians. Even the OP makes this point: "[The] Jewish Community is poisoned against us teaching their children that we want to destroy Judaism." Jews see Messianic Jews as an especially onerous kind of Christian, not as a less offensive kind of Christian. Jews believe 1) Messianic Jews are not Jews. 2) Messianic Judaism is the segment of Christianity that is most devoted to destroying Judaism, and that Messianic Jews do so by stealth and by deliberately misrepresenting Judaism. Oh the offense to you of Christians lighting up a Christmas tree with an Angel or Star (of Bethlehem) on top, and a manger scene underneath, to celebrate Christ's birth. You think it would be so much better if Christ were removed from Christmas (just like most Antichristians want). Your objection is especially hypocritical considering that modern Jews have adopted the star of Moloch, the golden calf, to represent themselves. Judaism is very law-bound compared to Christianity. How could a Christian not think Jews are guilty of legalisms, especially when those legalisms get in the Jew's way of accepting Christ?
  12. What's preventing an OTC inhaler without the ozone-offending chemical?
  13. Does your knowledge come from how much you say or post, or from how much your listen. I read the thread. It looked one-sided. I read a few other threads. And, the replies to what I wrote revealed why this thread has been one-sided. The OP itself puts the third-religion position on the table by implying it with, "And even many Christian leaders who believe that we are legitimate..." That means there are Christian leaders who believe that Messianic Judaism is illegitimate, i.e. a cult or a third religion, neither Christian nor Jewish. If they wanted to follow first century church practices, they'd call Him Jesus (or Iesous), not Yeshua. You're a walking contradiction. If you think Messianic Judaism is the way to go, then why aren't you a Messianic Jew? BTW, I think you, this forum, and most every Christian I know, refutes the hysterical nonsense in the OP about Christians hating Messianic Jews.
  14. I sense more hostility and paranoia here than what's at a Louis Farrakhan rally (where you can also find people claiming to be the most hated people on Earth who also claim to be closer to the true religion than everyone else). Is this a Christian forum or forum for insecure Messianic Jews?
  15. Messianic Jews have created a third religion out of Judaism and Christianity. Therefor, it is most reasonable that Jews and Christians fault Messianic Jews, but that doesn't mean that Messianic Jews are hated. Yet, when a Christian is listing cults, they'll say something like Mormonism long before Messianic Judaism.
