  1. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, -Ephesians 1:13 These Ephesians were Gentiles without hope & without God. They were strangers from the covenants they had not blessed Israel they were lost. They heard the word of truth the gospel of salvation, they believed, & they were sealed. The gospel that was preached to the Ephesians is found in the following passage. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; -1 Corinthians 15:1 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. -1 Corinthians 15:2 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; -1 Corinthians 15:3 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: -1 Corinthians 15:4 They heard this simple gospel trusted in it and were saved. Salvation is a free gift. You can't earn it. You can however recieve it right were you are. Without repeating a prayer or walking down an aisle. Believe that he died for your sins. He has reconciled you to God. Put your trust in the faith of Christ. And no there is not any more to it than that!
  2. Christ payed for all our sins and the sin we were conceived in before we were conceived . Our sin is not the issue. Trusting in Christ is the issue. Once your in the Body of Christ your sealed by the Holy Spirit. Nothing you can do about it.
  3. If you go back to the first post, you can see why some believe you can be unsealed. If you believe you can have your name blotted out of the Book of Life, you can become unsealed. I have read through the Bible over and over again. I just finished it again about a week or two ago. It is not as plain as people want to say it is, regardless of which side you are on. I can find scripture to seemingly back up OSAS, perseverance of the Saints, predestination and election as taught by Calvin, and scripture that supports the idea you can lose your salvation after becoming a Christian. I have come to the conclusion we need to simply put our trust in Christ, and do the best we can to follow him. How are you comparing the Church the Body of Christ with what is going on in the book of Revelation. Paul planly states that we are complete in Christ. The ones who are complete in Christ will be caught out before the things described in Matt 24 or 25 or Hebrews 6. Those things don't apply to the Church the Body of Christ. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
  4. Ep 4:30 says we are sealed unto the day of redemption. What can we do to become "unsealed"? We put our trust in Christ after we heard the word of truth the gospel of our salvation then we were sealed. We didn't do the sealing.
