4 Then Peter told Jesus, “Lord, it’s good that we’re here! If you want, I’ll set up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” 5 He was still speaking when a bright cloud suddenly overshadowed them. A voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love. I am pleased with him. Keep on listening to him!”

Hi AyinJade, can you describe what he looked like again? Was there any light around him or anything like that?
-
I believe the same C-Beth. I'd like to see one in its true angel form though, wings and all if it has any.

If you have what did he look like, were you afraid? If you haven't would you like to see one or prefer not to? It seems like the few people I asked that question to said they would prefer not to see one because they would be afraid. I don't understand what it is that makes them afraid, especially if its an angel on God's side. Wish I could see and talk to one, maybe one day as I reach the summit of a mountain. I say a mountain because I might have more of a chance to see one as Jesus had to go on a mountain top to converse with God, Elijah and Moses, why a mountain? Moses also had to go on top of a mountain to talk to God as a large cloud hid the summit. Maybe because it's easier to hide from other's eyes with a cloud? Looks like I have two questions now as my mind wondered lol

If you won't listen to me Shiloh at least listen to Retrobiter and Joe, they speak more of your language than I do. Humble yourself...

It isn't wise to start a thread out of anger towards a certain group of believers, look at what has happened to it now. That obviously was the motive as this thread started after a discussion in another thread about a tornado dissapearing by the power of God through prayer. Learn to love, forgive and be humble Shiloh, God can change your heart if you ask Him to, but in order for Him to do so, you have to discover the mirror of yourself within so you can see and admit what needs to be changed in order to be filled with His love, peace, humbleness and forgiveness. Soften that proud hardened heart brother, life doesn't have to be that way for you...

Qnts. I read and understand that God's answer to Paul's prayer was " My strength is made perfect in weakness.” To me, ( in context with what I mentioned earlier in the thread) it means that some stay closer to God through their sickness. Some often cease praying as they used to once everything is well with their worldly lives. Jesus was tempted and afraid in His last days, He did have human emotions. It was His human emotions that didn't want to go through the suffering of the cross, God knew that, but He had to go through with it for man kind. That's why He didn't answer His prayers.

D-Dawn of course we cannot force God to do anything. As I said in the beggining of my post "healing takes place with faith unless God says "no" meaning that I don't believe that God always heals. As far as the faith part goes, I stand firm in believing it " also "takes faith to be healed. I wouldn't have written that if I didn't experience it for myself and others I know. A prayer without faith isn't very effective don't you think? I don't know what WOFers are...

Oh well I tried, I pray that God changes your heart and spirit Shiloh. Take care brother....

In regards to this part you wrote: "The word of God is already alive. It is not "made alive" by us or what we do." You didn't understand. Even if someone knows the Bible by heart and don't put the word of God in practice in their lives then what they know won't do them any good. That's why the word of God needs to be made alive by the way we live, meaning practicing it in our actions in life instead of just knowing what it says. The word of God is always alive, but we have to merge it with our spirit not just our mind.
-
I base my faith on the word of God made alive through the way I live.
-
I'm sorry to hear you never experienced it.
-
Yes. No, it is a feeling also, not a constant feeling, although it would be nice to have that feeling 24/7.
-
It sounds like you're saying that it doesn't matter whether we pray or not for healing because it's up to God to heal us when He's ready to do so.

That's why you have a hard time understanding what some are trying to tell you, the Holy Spirit not only directs and leads someone, but it also renews our old spirit, its what puts the old self to death. We are cleansed by the Holy Spirit and when it happens it IS a strong feeling, our mind and spirit becomes filled with love, forgiveness and the peace of God within. We feel renewed. Others here who have felt that can tell you the same, Kwik and Joshua know what it feels like and I'm sure can testify to it. Until you are cleansed and renewed you will continue to understand the word of God through your own understanding, and I don't mean that in a negative way because as I said before you have so much potential with everything you've studied, let the Holy Spirit in and the self out. I do pray for you...
-
Ok I said it wrong not taking over but beeing filled with the Holy Spirit, do you know what that feels like?
-
I don't think you understood what I wrote. It would be nice if you answered my question though.

Healing takes place with faith unless God says no. The thing is that if one has set in their mind that God might say no or that they might have to wait for that healing when they pray, means that there is doubt in their prayer meaning lack of faith. Shiloh, during this whole thread you've been preaching more against the faith of being healed instead of all the positive things about how we can be healed. There is doubt of healing in your mind, and if you are sick and want to be healed but can't be for some reason, it's either because of the present doubt you have in your mind or plainly because God says no for a certain reason. God sometimes says no either because some aren't completely free inside of such things as a.spirit of pride, or vengeance or anger etc... but once they are free by admitting and surrendering these things completely to God, they are healed. He might also say no because its time for that person to soon be with Him such as Kwik's father. But most of the time the answer is yes as long as we are right inside with ourselves and Him, forgiveness of a certain individual can also put a hold on our healing... Shiloh have you ever felt the Holy Spirit take over your mind, spirit and body? If you have what did it feel like?

I think Mark 11:22-23 is in context with the withered fig tree in that same chapter. I always asked myself what was the reason for Jesus to make that fig tree die, but later realized that it was to show others what they are capable of with faith. All He did was talk to the fig tree with faith and the tree listened. In context of verse 23 "and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Although it isn't easy to do as the subconscious often has somewhat of a doubt.
-
It is important, as Jesus said in Mark 11. 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

In John 5, Jesus healed a man who had been an invalid for 38 years. The man had no idea who Jesus was...much less have "enough faith" to be healed. Jesus healed him out of compassion...then slipped away into the crowd. What Ezra said...

Although God doesn't always heal, be careful of what you preach Shiloh (1Corinthians 5:6).
