  1. Don't you find it odd, we were the Aliens who invaded Mars instead of Mars invading Earth? Just saying.....
  2. I've never left the Church early. I would if I became sick and had to leave or toss my cookies in front of everyone. Has never happened yet. In fact when I walk into the Church I feel all my cares of the week have passed away. My aches and pains are gone for that time. I forget they are there.
  3. And it was none of my business.
  4. In our Church we have the Traditional service at 9am, Sunday School at 10 and the Modern Service at 11am. In the time I have been going to this particular Church which has been a very, very long time I have only seen one person get up and leave the Church and that was on Communion Sunday, which during the normal times of the year is the 1st Sunday. Now why she left I have no idea just as Communion was starting, I never asked. In my mind I thought maybe she didn't feel worthy to take communion that particular Sunday for some reason. I didn't judge her actions and never mentioned it to anyone. I could have asked her, as we are friends but didn't want to put her on the spot.

how do u know gods real?

The purpose of the Tree of knowledge of good and evil is to remind man that he is not above God. Man is subject under God. Adam and Eve already knew what is good and evil. They knew that eating the forbidden fruit is wrong because 1) it is disobedience to God and 2) God said eating the forbidden fruit would bring death. God was the only one who said that eating from this tree was bad, and ONLY God makes that decision. Man had nothing to do with making that decision. God is the only one who determines right from wrong, not man. Man's role is to trust God in determining that decision. After eating the forbidden fruit, man now becomes like God in that he now makes the decision for himself what should be right and wrong. As a result, we end up legalizing abortion and same sex marriage. Homosexuality is viewed as normal and good to some people. Now wait, wait...God makes Adam and Eve, they are in the Garden of Eden, God tells them not to eat of the poisoned fruit of a specific tree, but Eve is tempted and eats then offers Adam a bite. So God tempts the fates of Adam and Eve, knowing full well they are human and they Will eat of the fruit. But does He kill them? No, He sends them out of the Garden of Eden, they cover themselves and Eve bears 2 sons who go to the Land of Nod for their wives. Thus the Jewish Nation began over 6000 years ago.

    who or what...

Yes to me God means the same thing no matter a capital letter or small. To condem someone to "fall on their knee before Him" just because they use a small g is beyond me. I capitalize all things pertaining to God, Jesus, the Church. But that's just me. I don't demand it of anyone else.

To save or not to save?

I have. But probably it is not the answer you want to hear Ciao - viole Tell me viole. I want to hear it. I've probably already heard it before. I am an unbeliever. What do you think is my answer concerning the presence of bad things in the world? It is not Satan... Ciao - viole Probably man Viole. It's my belief bad things are at the hand of man, not God. Nor Satan, which by the way is pronounced SAY TAN, who happens to be a real person in Jewish History. Evil is at the hand of Man. God rules the universe, he does not rule the doings of man. Only man makes the decisions between good and evil. We all know Hitler was evil, did God make Hitler evil or did Hitler decide himself to be evil. We have to give those things to man that belong to man.

    Questions about the Bible

Hi Draggy, The New Testament manuscripts that we have today are all in Greek and they are copies of the originals. The original Gospel of Matthew does not exist anymore, but we know that it was originally written in Hebrew or Aramaic and later translated into Greek because other historical documents point to this fact. For example, in 180 A.D., St. Irenaeus wrote the following: Matthew also issued a written Gospel among the Hebrews in their own dialect, while Peter and Paul were preaching in Rome and laying the foundation of the Church. After their departure, Mark, the disciple and interpreter of Peter, did also hand down to us in writing what had been preached by Peter. Luke also, the companion of Paul, recorded in a book the Gospel preached by him. Afterwards John, the disciple of the Lord, who also had leaned upon his breast, did himself publish a Gospel during his residence at Ephesus in Asia. (Against Heresies 3:1:1) Fifty years earlier Papias, bishop of Hieropolis in Asia Minor, wrote, "Matthew compiled the sayings [of the Lord] in the Aramaic language, and everyone translated them as well as he could" (Explanation of the Sayings of the Lord [cited by Eusebius in History of the Church 3:39]). Could be Selene. I have in my notes, Mathew, Mark, Luke and John are the Gospels and they were all written in the same time frame. 65CE-85CE but there's not proof who exactly wrote the Gospels. Who ever wrote these Gospels was on the outside looking in at the great war between the Roman's and the Jews, When the Jews were forced to leave Israel and fled to Syria. It's suggested it was in Syria these Gospels were translated into Greek from Hebrew. Anyway that's what I have in my notes... The great war was in 67-72. It was a disaster for the Jews. Hi Draggy, I believe that the four Gospels were written before 70 A.D. because there was nothing in the Gospels that mention the destruction of the temple, which occurred in 70 A.D. Instead, we have Jesus prophesizing the destruction of the Jewish temple mentioned in the Gospels. And if they are written before the destruction of the Jewish temple, then there is good reason for believing that they were written by the disciples of Jesus himself. If they were written by the disciples, then their reliability, authenticity, and accuracy are better substantiated. After that, it was later copied and copied over and over by others. Matthew is the only one originally written in Hebrew while the others were written in Greek. But the originals are gone, and what we have today are only the copies. The actual originals were written before the year 70. But the 4 Gospels were translated as the men who translated watch from afar the Great War. And there are entire books left out of the Bible. It's actually unknown who translated the Gospels into Greek. Maybe the originals were written by Mathew, Mark, Luke and John but there is no proof. Most documents will say 'Author unknown" but they are learning new things by archaeological finds every day.

    who or what...

HIS name is GOD, not god. You better get used to it, as you will be on your face in fear before Him in the near future. Oh my goodness Parker. Not a very nice way to speak to someone. Some people think capital letters on the internet mean they are screaming. As I suspect with gloworm. Did you know the original text our Bibles are translated from were all capital letters and all run together?

    Questions about the Bible

All of the Gospels were written in Greek, it was the language of the Romans. And I agree. Jesus wasn't calling on Peter to build the Church of Jesus. Catholics will try to tell your their Church was the 1st Church when actually the 1st Christian Church was in Jerusalem. But I do believe the Catholics are Christians. Some Protestants don't believe they are Chrisitans but I do. I've been to Mass a few times in my life time. I have friends who are Catholic.

how do u know gods real?

In the 1st Century there were many things we today consider immoral, that were customary. Young boys had to be taught to Master women. How were they taught? And who taught them?
