Friends: Quote Shiloh 357 The claim that they inhabited the Land for generations is a myth, and is unsupported by genuine history. And There was no Palestinian people living for generations as so many history revisionists claim. And No Arabs were displaced, since the Land being settled was uninhabited. And Palestine was under the rule of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. That does not mean that there was no entity Palestine. It only means that they were occupied. Like now. The Turks recognized it as an entiy. I believe it was Golda Meir who first played the Denial Card. Well that is one way to deal with the problem. Palestinians?? What Palestinians??? To put it as kindly as I can. You are woefully ill informed!! The fact is that the majority of people living in what was known as Palestine and what is now known as Israel, The West Bank, Gaza & Jordan have probably been Arabs for the last 2000 years. I believe they are even now a majority, at least in the Gaza the West Bank and Jordan; which causes a few demographic problems for the state of Israel. Repeat the Majority of people living there since the Roman caused Diaspora, some 2000 years ago have been Arabs. The same ethnic group that now claims the nationality Palestinian. The land has been controlled by Turks Greeks eygptians Etc Etc. but the majortiy of the people have been ??????? what. Quote Shiloh The "Palestinians" are actually the descendents of the those migrant workers If You believe that present day Palestinians are simply the descendents of migrant farm works you believe a LIE. I beg you to become informed. Amor's article clearly shows that no definitive data as to exact numbers exist but at the same time History clearly shows that people lived there. A quick time line. ------------------------- A.D. 70 Destruction of the Second Temple by Roman Emperor Titus. 132-135 Bar Kokhba revolt suppressed. Jews barred from Jerusalem and Emperor Hadrian builds new pagan city of Aelia Capitolina on its ruins. 330-640 Palestine under Byzantine rule: Jerusalem and Palestine increasingly Christianized. 638 Arabs under the Caliph 'Umar capture Palestine from Byzantines. 661-750 Umayyad caliphs -Arabs rule Palestine from Damascus. The Ayyubid dynasty rules Palestine from Cairo. 1260 Mamluks succeed Ayyubids, ruling Palestine from Cairo; defeat Mongols at Battle of 'Ayn Jalut near Nazareth. 1291 Mamluks capture final Crusader strongholds of Acre and Caesarea. 1516-1917 Palestine incorporated into the Ottoman Empire with its capital in Istanbul. 1832-1840 Muhammad 'Ali Pasha of Egypt occupies Palestine. Ottomans subsequently reassert their rule. 1876-1877 Palestinian deputies from Jerusalem attend the first Ottoman Parliament in Istanbul, elected under a new Ottoman Constitution. 1878 The first modern Zionist agricultural settlement of Petach Tiqwa established (click here to learn more about Zionist and its impact on the Palestinian people). 1882-1903 First wave of 25,000 Zionist immigrants enters Palestine, coming mainly from eastern Europe. 1882 Baron Edmond de Rothschild of Paris starts financial backing for Jewish settlement in Palestine. 1887-1888 Palestine divided by Ottomans into the districts (sanjaks) of Jerusalem, Nablus, and Acre. The first was attached directly to Istanbul, the others to the wilayet of Beirut. 1896 Theodor Herzl, an Austro-Hungarian Jewish journalist and writer, publishes Der Judenstaat, advocating establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine or elsewhere. 1896 Jewish Colonization Association, founded in 1891 in London by German Baron Maurice de Hirsch, starts aiding Zionist settlements in Palestine. 1897 First Zionist Congress in Switzerland issues the Basle Program calling for the establishment of a "home for the Jewish people in Palestine." Yoh Friends Quote fenwar 04:02 AM The attitude with which Jesus lived his life. The consequences of knowing that the peacemakers are blessed beyond this life. The knowledge that death is not the end. The heart of God for all men to be saved, and the imperative to preach the gospel to all nations. And above all, the utter, vital, indispensable importance of unconditional love, because God first loved us. And But I would rather be killed by a terrorist than become a murderer like them myself. Better to have my body destroyed than to hand my soul over to the destroyer And I am posting on this thread because I believe a great number of people here have an attitude towards Muslims that does far more damage to their souls than any extremist ever could. And if anything, it will only increase the hostility between Islam and Christianity - making it more difficult to reach Muslims with the gospel wherever they live. These and many other words you speak tell me much about you, friend fenwar We hold these thoughts in common. Blessed are The Peace Makers. G.B.Y. and Thank You. Dgolvach Though I may not agree with everything you said I will agree with nebula.

Yoh! doglovach Fairly spoken. If you check some of my other posts you will see that I advocate an active defense against insane evil when it comes against us. But I also advocate that we allow ourselves to address the causes and circumstances that allow that kind of evil to propagate and grow. If we allow ourselves only to address the evil of terrorism, we address only the symptom of the cancer that allows it to grow. We must approach our enemy with the spirit of love and allow ourselves to hear his grievances. As long as we are responding only to the hate that he holds for us by occupying and making war against his countries, and bombing his cities and villages, as long as our only response is retaliation, we cannot claim to be the ambassadors of Christ

The Bush Administrations Policies on WMD, reek with the stink of hypocrisy! What is the matter with people that they can blithely ignore such facts and continue to believe the lies that rationalize and justify the invasion and occupation of the sovereign nation of Iraq which it has been shown never did have WMD Cheney + Pakistan = Iran by Jason Leopold When news of Pakistan

Here are the people of GreenPeace. They do not profess a fundamentalist belief in Christ. But they do most definitely seem to practice Christ

Oh my Friends

I care! because only with a grasp of that answer can we hope fo fullfill Christ's desire for our hearts. And: Absolutely non at all Absolutely non at all! There is no way any of us could possibly justify ourselves. So why do we try, so hard some times to justify others?

Good Friends This very issue has been on my mind and heart of late. It is a depressing fact. The World as a whole seems to have little chance for peace before all prophecy is fulfilled. I to have asked myself: Why bother to strive for peace. Nobody seems interested in peace anymore. They seem only interested in rationalizations that promote preemptive War, or aggressive, even paranoid Defense. Though we must defend ourselves against the bloody-minded who have given themselves over to hate and violence, I would hope that I would never reciprocate in kind. I would hope that I would always continue in my striving and outreach toward peace and it

Yes! To quote Tony Blair from the article cited. "Coming to Britain is not a right," Mr. Blair said. "And even when people have come here, staying here carries with it a duty. That duty is to share and support the values that sustain the British way of life. Those that break that duty and try to incite hatred or engage in violence against our country and its people have no place here." and "This is not in any way whatever aimed at the decent law-abiding Muslim community of Britain," Mr. Blair said. "We know that this fringe of extremists does not truly represent Islam." ------- Though I am not a great fan of Tony Blair, his policy to deport extremists who advocate and order murderous jihad, I would whole-heartedly support. As long the policy was not applied in a paranoid shotgun manner, and was approached with careful judicious due process. The case should be criminal and proven beyond a reasonable doubt. In such cases incarceration is probably a justified option. There are those nut bone Moslem clerics out there who openly advocate murder. Peace loving Law should be applied against them We must protect ourselves and our citizens against such bloody minded men. I remember a number of months ago BBC did an interview with just such a Wahabi cleric in Britain who without compunction advocated violence. It certainly would not be hard to prove a case against him.
