    The Middle East. Conclusion.

    End Times.
    CONCLUSION.
     
    We have traced God`s desire to establish His righteous rulership through Israel over the nations, and we have also seen how Satan tries continually to undermine God`s plans.
    Satan constantly tried to exterminate God`s people Israel and to set up his unrighteous rulership throughout the ages. God however, established His nation Israel and over the centuries protected and guided them even when they were rebellious and in exile. 
    The region of the Middle East was central to early man and then throughout the Gentiles rule from – Babylon to Rome and on to today. Just as God`s word says that the Middle East would again be the focus of the world.
    In our day we can see the stage set, (as it were) for the final fulfillment of Satan`s plans and also of God`s great plans. All mankind is being drawn into choosing whom they will worship – Satan or God.
    God`s hand of mercy is outstretched amid His judgments, however it is up to people to repent and turn to God. Many repent, but some don't. They would rather have darkness than God`s light.
     
    May we who have knowledge of God`s great plans continue to encourage each other and reach out to those who are responding to God`s call.
     
    `….exhorting (encouraging and warning) one another and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.` (Heb. 10: 25)

    The Middle East. Babylon.

    End Times.
    Babylon the Centre of Global Government.
    This man, who made Peace in the Middle East with Israel will be acclaimed by Islam as their Messiah. Ten nations of the Middle East will give their authority to him. Then empowered by Satan he will take dominion and authority as absolute dictator of the world. All opposition will be crushed and broken ruthlessly and mercilessly.
    The center of his Global Government will be in the rebuilt Babylon. Over recent decades, this historic city has experienced significant transformation. The prophet Zechariah tells us that the world`s religious and economic infrastructure (UN & IMF) will be taken over to Babylon and there it will operate in its superior position as the center of the world`s Global Government.
    The picture is symbolically shown as a woman in a basket (ephah). This is wickedness, the false religion connected to the economy. The ephah is a basket for measuring grain. All produce must relate to protecting the earth, the UN`s false religion. This religious and economic symbol was taken to Shinar and placed on its own pedestal. (Zech. 5: 10 & 11) The World Leader eventually does away with the UN`s religion and forces people to give allegiance to him. This is worship of him and Satan.
     
    Babylon, Babylon has Fallen.
    Evil has come to a head with Satan ruling through the world leader. Those who do not bow to Satan and his rule will be killed. `Buying and selling` will require authorization from the Global Government.
    The people of Israel will be especially hunted down if they do not worship the image set in their Temple`s holy place. This image is of the Global Leader known as the anti-Christ. He set himself up as God in Jerusalem`s holiest place. Many Jews flee to the mountains to hide. Then the world undergoes God`s severe judgments but with God`s hand of mercy still outstretched for those who repent.
    Finally, after nearly three and a half years of extreme tribulation God brings judgment upon the unrighteous Global Government situated in the city of Babylon. The city is burned with fire and the anti-Christ goes to Jerusalem. There he sends out for the world`s armies to gather together at Armageddon and to come down and kill all Jews on the way to Jerusalem.
    Then there is a great earthquake causing all men to cry out, `Hide us from God`s wrath.` The Lord comes with His angelic army and deals with all those gathered outside Jerusalem and all those who worshipped Satan.

    Israel becomes a Nation.
    Although God`s people Israel were scattered among the nations of the world God gave them a promise that He would bring them back to their own land.
    `Thus says the LORD God; “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them every side and bring them into their own land.` (Ez. 37: 21)
    The Arabs in the Middle East however opposed the establishment of a Jewish state. But amid these tensions Israel was a `nation born in a day.` The declaration of the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, was a momentous event, marking the culmination of decades of Jewish nationalist aspirations and the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine.
    Jesus told His people that when they were back in their homeland again that many other nations would have their independence: `all the trees.` (Luke 21: 29 – 31)
    Some of these nations that gained independence were Iraq, Syria and Jordan. Thus, France and Britain withdrew from the Middle East. The Arab nations then began to arise against Israel. Many wars have been fought as Satan incited Israel`s neighbors to try and eliminate Israel. God however has continually had His hand on His people.
     
    Countdown.
    Jesus said - `Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things are fulfilled.` (Luke 21: 32)
    Thus, when Israel became a nation in 1948 God`s time clock began to wind down till He comes to deliver Israel and set up His rulership through them over the nations.
    The Countdown started and is already 76 years on in 2025. Add the 7 last years of Israel chastisement and that generation would be 83. That terminal generation would be starting to pass way. Israel will still have to go through `Jacob`s trouble,` or the tribulation, as it is often called. The strength of the people of Israel will have to come to an end for them to call out to God to deliver them.

    The Line in the Sand.
    The end of the Ottoman Empire came after WW 1. They surrendered to the Allies (Britain and France) in 1918.  Despite fighting alongside the Allies, the Arab patriots felt betrayed as they did not receive what they expected. The governments of the European Entente (an informal alliance) had concluded a secret treaty before the armistice, the Sykes-Picot Agreement, partitioning the Middle East amongst themselves.
    After the Ottomans withdrew, Arab leaders proclaimed an independent state in Damascus but were quickly overcome by British and French forces. Subsequently, Britain and France established control and redefined the Middle Eastern boundaries.
    A `line in the sand` was drawn to indicate the French and British territories. Syria became a French protectorate, and the coastal areas were split off to become Lebanon, another French protectorate. Iraq, Jordan and Palestine became British mandated territories on behalf of the League of Nations.
    Arab Relations.
    The agreement is seen by many as a turning point in Western and Arab relations. It reneged upon Britian`s promises regarding a national Arab homeland in the region of Syria in exchange for supporting the British against the Ottoman Empire.
    Israelis Relations.
    The British also had endorsed the Balfour declaration promising the international Zionist movement their support in re-creating the historic homeland in Palestine. This is in line with God`s plan for His people, Israel returning to their homeland.
    Discovery of oil.
    The discovery of oil in the Middle East sparked the region's modernization. Roads, water, sewage, buildings, and banking infrastructure. All helped to bring the Middle East into the 20th century.
    However, with the growth and prosperity, there were tensions. The colonial powers were seen as overlords and independence was keenly sought. The Arabs desired to manage and receive the profits from their own oil, stirring their desire to rise as a global power enabling them to rule the world.

    Islam`s Prophet.
    The Roman Empire ended in the 5th century AD due to invasions by northern tribes. It then became divided into the Western and Eastern Roman Empire. It was from this region in the Middle East that Satan influenced a man called Muhammed.
    Muhammed, an Arab, believed he received revelations from God and declared himself a prophet of God. He taught that God was one and that he was the last of the prophets of God from – Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and other prophets.
    Over time he gathered many converts into a great army. By the time he died most of the Arabian Peninsular had converted to Muhammed`s teachings - Islam. 
    Islam means – submission to God (His will). The concept encompasses 'Safeness and Peace'. The term Muslim refers to an individual who follows the religion of Islam. 
    Under Satan`s influence this teaching appealed to many as it made `works` by man the admission to heaven. It was a corruption of Old Testament and Christian writings. Islam views Jesus as a man and prophet, not as God's Son or a deity.
    Thus, Satan appeals to man`s pride of self-effort, but negating the work of Christ Jesus on the cross, the very heart of the gospel and salvation for mankind.
    Islam taught that they would rule the nations of the world. God however, had given His people Israel this responsibility. This sets the stage for a major conflict.
     
    The Ottoman Empire
    Islam spread rapidly, creating a new Arab identity in the region. Several groups tried to govern the Eastern Roman Empire, but the Ottomans eventually came to control the entire region and beyond.
    The Ottomans were pastoralists who lived in Anatolia, Asia Minor, (present day Turkey). They regarded themselves as warriors who fought to expand and protect their borders. Overtime they came under the influence of Islam. 
    The Ottoman Empire lasted for many centuries till the modern era.

    Conclusion.
     
    God has given the `Times and Seasons` for us to know when it is His Appointed Time for the Rapture for the Body of Christ.
     
    The Festival Season of Lights is fulfilled when the Lord returns to deliver Israel. That event is right in the middle of Israel`s 8 day festival – 29th Kislev.
    Then the Feast of Purim is fulfilled when the Lord has overcome Israel`s enemies and they celebrate their National Deliverance – 15th Adar.
    In between those two dates is the end of the 7 years – 29th  Tevet.
     
    If the 7 years starts in 2026 then when we count back 7 years from the 29th of Tevet and we come to the 22 Shevat That is the 9th of February in our Solar Calendar. (see chart at the end of the book for Israel`s Lunar (moon) Calendar and our Solar (sun) Calendar.)
     
    Knowing the seasons has helped us to gain an insight into when the 7 years start, and the Peace treaty will occur. If it is next year, 2026 then it will be 9th February.
     Is there something more in God`s word to help us?
     
    Yes, the prophet Joel`s prophecy which is very important. We read –
    `Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the Day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand.
    A Day of darkness and gloominess, a Day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains, a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations.` (Joel 2: 1 & 2)
     
    It will take many days even weeks for this great army to gather, so huge is it. The media will be following its build up and journey towards Israel. This is our time to get ready to be caught away to be with the Lord.
     
    May we all `watch` and be ready!

    Israel`s Calendar: 2026 – 2033.
     
    The Prophet Daniel guides us in placing the 2 Festivals and the end of the 7 years when the Temple will be cleansed.
     
    1.The End of the Tribulation – Jesus` Return. (29th Kislev 2032)
    Daniel was told of a time a great trouble `there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time, and at that time your people shall be delivered.` (Dan. 12: 1) Daniel asked -
    “How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?”
    `….it shall be for a time, times and half a time, (3 ½ years, 1,260 days); when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. ` (Dan. 12: 6 & 7)
     
    2.The End of Israel`s Final 7 years – the Temple Cleansed. (29th Tevet 2032)
    Daniel then asked about the end of things, meaning the sacrifices taken away and the abomination set up till the Temple is cleansed.
    “My Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”
    `And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. (1,290)
     
    3.Israel`s National Celebrations. (15th Adar 2033)
    Finally, Daniel is encouraged that there is a time his people will be blessed. It will be when Israel celebrates its National deliverance from all its enemies.
    `Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days, (1,335). ` (Dan. 12: 8, 11 & 12)
     
    How to find the beginning of Israel`s 7 years
    We can measure this by counting back from 29th of Tevet, which is at the end of the 7 years. (See chart of Israel`s Calendar on the next blog.)

    The Lord`s Feasts - 2026- 2033.

    Israel.
    2026 - 2033
     
    If the year 2026 is when the tribulation could start then we can look up a Jewish calendar with the solar (our) calendar dates.
    Prior to the tribulation is the Russian Federation at the Golan Heights outside Israel. The believers in Christ are then raptured. God deals with the Russian army and the others joining it. Then the world clamours for `Peace and Safety.`
    The Peace Treaty. 9th February 2026. (22 Shevat) A man from Islam steps in and makes a peace treaty with Israel. The tribulation has begun.
     
    Israel`s Sacrifices. 16th October 2026. (5th Tishri) For seven months the people of Israel search out the bones of the great army and bury them in a valley. Then when there are no more found for 10 days they begin their sacrifices to God after 2000 years.
     
    The Anti-Christ. 22nd July 2028 (9th Tammuz) The man who made the Peace Treaty will be made the Global leader. He deceives the world and they acclaim him as God. He rules for 42 months, 1,260 days. He puts an end to Israel`s sacrifices.
     
    The Abomination. 21st August 2028  (9th Av) A month later this man known as the anti-Christ gets an image of himself erected in Israel`s holy sanctuary, in God`s place. This is an abomination to the people of Israel. The people flee to the hills, mourning the desecration of their Temple.
     
    Jesus` Return. 2nd December 2032 (29th Kislev) Jesus returns with His mighty angel army, in power and great glory. He deals with the world`s armies surrounding Jerusalem and delivers the people of Israel. When Jesus reveals Himself to the people they go into mourning.
     
    The Temple Rededication. 31st January 2032 (29 Tevet) After a month of morning the Priests cleanse and rededicate the temple and sanctuary.
     
    National Celebrations. 14th March 2033 (15th Adar) The people celebrate their national deliverance in Jerusalem.

    Gentile Rulership.
    After King David other kings following him often led the people astray. Thus, God let His people go into exile for a time. (70 years) God then gives the Gentiles rulership for a set time. That `times of the Gentiles` is portrayed in pictorial form of a Great Image. This is of a Middle Eastern man standing in front of the King of Babylon – the Middle East.
    Each part of the Body of the man is a representation of the different Gentile rulers that would rule over the Middle East. First it was the Empire of Babylon, then came the Medes and Persians with Greece and Rome after that. Then there was one Final Gentile Ruler to come in the future.
    Meanwhile after 70 years Israel was able to return to their homeland in the time of the Persians but continued to be ruled over by the Gentile Empires. In Roman times Israel`s land was named `Palestine` by the Romans.
     
    Israel`s Messiah.
    It was at this time that God sent His Son, Jesus, Israel`s Messiah to not only deliver Israel from its enemies but also to redeem mankind from Satan`s power.
    Israel`s rulership, (priests) rejected Jesus as their Messiah and had Him crucified for saying He was God`s Son. Judas, influenced by Satan, betrayed Jesus to the officers of the chief priests. However, Satan would not have had Jesus killed if he had known that Jesus would later be resurrected and ascend to the highest place, at the Father`s right hand.
    From there He is building His body of believers. (see `God`s Eternal Purposes`)
    On earth, however, God is still ongoing with His plans for His earthly people, Israel and the nations. So, having rejected their King, their Messiah Israel goes into centuries of chastisement by God.
    This started with the Romans attacking Jerusalem, (70 AD) causing the people of Israel to flee across the world. And there they stayed for nearly 2000 years. Yet even though they suffered terrible persecution God still had His hand upon them and would not let Satan annihilate His people, Israel.

    God`s Nation.
    God now reveals that through another of Noah`s son, Shem, would come a new nation, one that was from miraculous beginnings. This was Isaac, born of God`s promise when Abraham and Sarah were beyond childbearing.
    Then from Isaac`s son Jacob, (later Israel) would come twelve sons who were the beginnings of the twelve tribes of Israel. These were God`s people with whom He guided, taught and protected over the centuries.
    When Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt because of a famine in their land we can see God`s hand protecting them. As they grew in number they became a threat to the Pharoh. But even there we see God`s hand of preparation in Moses` life. After Moses encountered God, he and his brother Aaron led the Israelites out of Egypt after the plagues on Pharaoh and the Egyptians who resisted God's will.
    In the wilderness journey of Israel to the promised land, God gives Moses the Law and shows him how the people are to worship Him. This is through a priesthood and rituals in the tabernacle and later the Temple which are a shadow of Christ and His mediatorial work.
    God gives the land of Canaan in the Middle East to His people Israel. There they had to fight many enemies, but God continued to establish them in the land. After a time King David is anointed ruler and shows the nations God`s righteous rulership. God promises Israel that they will eventually rule over the nations.
    Thus God`s plans of restoration of man and righteous rulership was revealed to come through this nation of Israel. God promised Israel that they would rule over the nations of the world with their king, their Messiah bringing peace.
    Satan, however, ever present to try and undermine God`s plans influenced Abraham and Sarah to make a child with a bond woman Hagar. Ishmael was born and from him also came twelve tribes who became the Arabs we know today. Israel and the Arab`s relationship has been affected by rivalry and jealousy over the years.

    The Origin.
    The garden of Eden was situated in the region of Mesopotamia, of the four rivers.
    `Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there parted and became four riverheads.` (Gen. 2: 10)
    It was in that lovely place that God put man.
    `The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. ` (Gen. 2: 8)
    God gave the man, Adam instructions concerning what fruit to eat and what not to eat. God also helped Adam to develop his mind by enabling him to name the different animals.
    `Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.` (Gen. 2: 19)
    Then God made a helpmate for him, called Eve. God would come and `walk` with them in the cool of the evening, sharing His wisdom to grow and mature them.
     
    The Two Plans.
    God desired relationship with Adam and Eve, sharing His wisdom with them for them to grow and make right choices.
    However, Satan, had his own plans. He desired to rule over man and use him for his purposes: ruling the world and taking man`s worship from God.
    Satan deceived the woman saying that God did not want them to be wise.
    `And the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.` (Gen. 3: 4 & 5)
    Eve was deceived by Satan thinking she could get wisdom by the fruit.
    `So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took its fruit and ate. She gave it to her husband with her, and he ate.` (Gen. 3: 6)

    The Middle East. Overview.

    End Times.
    OVERVIEW
     
    The Name.
    The terms `Near, Middle and Far East originated in the 1850`s in the British India office. It was used to distinguish the Near East (Balkans and the Ottoman Empire) and the Far East (countries of eastern Asia).
    The term (Middle East) was politically significant because the region was important to the British for defending their interests in India. Today the term `Middle East` is commonly used within the region itself.
     
    The Two Plans.
    Eden in the Middle East was the cradle of civilization, the place of God`s relationship with man. It also became Satan`s focus.
    In this study we will track these two threads: God`s plan for man and Satan`s plan.
    God desires a relationship with man and to receive man`s worship. This involves the restoration of man and the restoring of righteous rulership throughout God`s great Kingdom.
    Satan, however, works to undermine God, controlling man through deception and to take worship from man that is due to God alone.
     
    The Middle East is always the focal of God`s plans and Satan continually attempts to undermine them. Finally, today we have come full circle with Satan deceiving mankind to worship him. God, however, will deal with Satan and establish His righteous rulership.
     
    Note that although God is supreme overall, He is not a Dictator. As God unfolds His purposes throughout the centuries, He exposes Satan`s unrighteous character and rulership which will lead to His eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire.
     
    Let us now look at what God has told us concerning the Middle East.

    The Flood
    Adam and Eve had not trusted God but instead listened to Satan, thus they came under his influence. Over time the generations that followed became very wicked.
    `Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.` (Gen. 6: 5)
    God decided to destroy man and beast whom He had created all except Noah, (and his family) who found grace in the eyes of the LORD. God told Noah to build an ark and when it was finished, God brought the many animals and birds into it.
    After the flood, Noah built an altar to God and offered burnt offerings of every clean animal. God received the offerings and spoke to Noah and his sons. He told them to be fruitful and fill the earth.
    God also gave Noah (and man) the responsibility of governing others (rulership). God said He would require of them `a life for a life,` man`s blood which is murder. This is the highest crime, and all other crimes are under that. Man`s governing would now be accountable to God.
    Noah`s family knew to worship God and what He required of them. However, it didn`t take long for `man`s evil heart` to emerge and plan wickedness.
     
    Babel
    The descendants of Noah journeyed from the east (Ararat) and found a plain in the land of Shinar and dwelt there. It lay between the two great rivers and was very fertile.
    Nimrod, Noah`s great grandson (from Ham) gathered men together to build a city and a tower in Shinar so that they could have great fame and authority (a name) over others. This was the beginning of his kingdom.
    This is rebellion against God and thus God scatters them abroad with different languages causing confusion. Therefore, the name of the city is Babel - confusion. (Babylon) Nimrod then went from there to Assyria and built Ninevah, worshipping the god of war.
    Thus, we are seeing Satan influencing man against God and taking man`s worship which is due to God alone.

    Russia against Israel.
    After the cease fire Israel will `dwell in safety.` This is their condition when the next attack comes, this time from the far North.
    God brings an end to the Ukraine Russian war. He `put hooks in the leader`s jaws` as it were to bring them down to the mountains of Israel. This indicates that God initiates this next war against His people. God`s purpose is to bring His people to their knees to call out to Him,
    “`Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” (Joel 2: 12)
    and then He will bring swift judgment upon the Northern army. This northern army is massive. There has never been one so great or ever will again.
    `Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains, a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for successive generations.` (Joel 2: 2)
    This is the Russian Federation with other nations such as Iran, Libya and Ethiopia. They will come down through Syria to the Golan heights. There God will cause an earthquake and a volcano to bring judgment upon them. ((Ez. 38: 18 – 22)
     
    Peace in the Middle East.
    After God judges the northern army, Russia, Iran and others, then there will be a power vacuum in the Middle East. No longer will the great bear of the north be a threat or Iran continually breathing fire, their armies will have been mostly annihilated.
    The great nations of the world will demand cessation of all conflict. Into this situation a seemingly benevolent leader will make a seven-year Peace Treaty with Israel. His political support will come from the three nations of Iraq, Syria, and Jordan. He will bring them together and take away their colonial roots that divided them up.
    The leaders of the West will desire to meet this man who was able to make `Peace and Safety` in the Middle East when others had failed for so long. He will speak to statesmen, intellectuals and economists, and with his powerful charismatic personality he will deceive them. Then after a false death and resurrection the world will acclaim him as their world leader. The East and West will finally be connected. Utopia will have arrived.

    End Times.
    Israel Receives their Messiah.
    When the Lord comes with His angelic army, He deals with the world`s armies surrounding Jerusalem. Satan and his fallen angels are taken into captivity. Then the Lord goes over to Jerusalem and reveals Himself to the Jews there, opening their eyes.
    `And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on me whom they have pierced; they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a first-born.` (Zech. 12: 10)
    After they have had a time of mourning, the Lord will appoint a man called David to rule as king. He also appoints priests to guide the people.
    `Then they shall be my people and I will be their God. David my servant shall be king over them, and they shall have one shepherd; they shall also walk in my judgments and observe my statues, and do them. `(Ez. 37: 24 & 25)
     
    Then there will be Levites and priests chosen to teach and guide the people.
     
    “And I will also take some of them for priests and Levites,” says the Lord.` (Isa. 66: 21)
     
    Israel Rules over the Nations.
    Jerusalem will be the center of the world. The nations that are left after the great earthquake must go up to Jerusalem to learn the ways of the Lord. The glory of the Lord will be over Jerusalem and the Lord will rule through His people Israel with a righteous government.
    `Many nations shall come and say, “Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us of His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law will go forth, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.` (Micah 4: 1 & 2)
    Satan and his fallen angels are bound (by God`s word of authority) for a thousand years. However, after that time he will be released and go out to deceive the nations one last time. Again, Jerusalem is his focus for that is where God`s government on earth will be. Satan gathers the nations against Jerusalem, but God sends fire down from heaven and devours them.

    Islam`s two Factions.
    Islam has two factions – Shia and Sunni Muslims.
    Shia – revolutionary, reactionary and explosive.
    Sunni – traditional Fundamentalists.
    There have been many conflicts between the two incompatible factions: Iraq/Iran war, the genocide in Iraq, etc.
    God`s word predicted the bitter historical and religious partition of the two great branches of Islam. Looking again at the Great Image in Daniel`s time we see that the final Gentile Kingdom of the Middle East will be divided.
    `The feet and toes, partly of potter`s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided..` (Dan. 2: 41)
    This polarization inhibits this confederacy from realizing its full potential. Eventually, however, a predicted dictator will emerge from their midst. He will unite them into the ruthless super-power that will dominate the whole world. 
     
    Islam against Israel.
    In 2023 the Middle East came back into World View. Satan had stirred Iran to try and eliminate Israel. They used their proxies in Gaza, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen to attack Israel. They are Shia Muslims, unpredictable and uncontrollable.
    In 2025 the President of America has asked some of the surrounding Arab nations to take in the people of Gaza as their cities get rebuilt. However, he does not realize that those nations are mainly Sunni and do not want Shia terrorists in their midst. The West does not understand the deep hatred even in the Muslim world amongst themselves.
    The conflict has inflicted severe hardships on both sides, however, at last there is a cease fire with hostages being released over the next six weeks – end of February.
    Now even though God has been protecting Israel He desires His people to realize that it is not by their strength that they gained the victory. Israel needs to turn to God.

    Israel`s National Deliverance Celebrations.
     
    After Jesus comes and deals with the world`s armies and their leaders He goes over to Jerusalem and reveals Himself to the people of Israel. Their eyes are opened and then realize that this is their Messiah, the One whom their people crucified many years ago.
    `And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.` (Zech. 12: 10)
     
    The people of Israel go into mourning with their families.
    `In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem….and the land shall mourn, every family by itself….all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives with them.` (Zech. 12: 11 – 14)
     
    After the mourning the Lord will appoint a regent King over Israel, a man called David. The Lord will also set up priests who will cleanse the Temple of the abomination.
    `…they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king whom I will raise up for them.` (Jer. 30: 9)
    ``It shall be that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and see my glory. ….they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to the Lord out of all the nations,….And I will also take some of them for priests and levities.` (Isa. 66: 18 – 21)
     
    All the Jews will be brought back to Israel on various modes of transport as civilization as we know it was destroyed in the great tribulation.
    “Then they shall bring your brethren for an offering to the Lord out of all the nations, on horses and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the LORD.` (Isa. 66: 20)
     
    There will now be a time of feasting and celebrating for the Lord has delivered their nation from all their enemies.
    `And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. ` (Isa. 35: 10)

    The 2 Festivals.
    The Festival of Lights – Jesus Returns at the end of the Tribulation.

     
    Jesus returns in power and great glory as the fulfillment of the festival of Lights. This is over a period of eight days from the 25th of Kislev to the 2nd of Tevet. Jesus will come to the Mount of Olives on the 29th of Kislev in the middle of the Festival. He will establish His Light, His Shekinah glory over the people of Jerusalem.
    `And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy – everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem. When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning.
    Then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. ` (Isa. 4: 3 – 5)
     
    Israel`s National Celebrations – after Israel`s Final 7 years.

     
    This is the fulfillment of the feast of Purim when the Jews were saved because of Esther`s intervention. This celebration after Armageddon is the realization that all their foes have been defeated. It will then be a most blessed time for those who reach that time. (Dan. 12: 12) It is celebrated on the 15th of Adar. (Esther 9: 20 & 21,  25 & 26)

    The Tribulation of the Nations – 6 years & 11 months.
     
    At the same time of Israel`s 7 year chastisement God will bring tribulation upon the Nations. This will be for 6 years and 11 months, just short of the 7 years. Jesus told us that this would happen.
    `For there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, nor ever shall be.
    And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect`s sake those days will be shortened.` (Matt. 24: 21 & 22)
     
    We can see this by placing the rule of the anti-Christ and then Jesus` return, on the timeline. We are told in God`s word that the anti-Christ rules for three and a half years. (1,260 days or 42 months).
    `And he (anti-Christ) was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. ` (Rev. 13: 5)
     
    At the end of the 42 months (1,260) Jesus comes in power and great glory and deals with the beast, (anti-Christ) and false prophet and their armies surrounding Jerusalem.
    `And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
    And I saw the beast captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
    And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. ` (Rev. 19: 19 – 21)
     
    When the Lord comes in power and great glory that is described as being on a white horse. White, for light, glory and horse, for power.
    `they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with power & great glory. And He will send His angels..`                                  (Matt.24: 30 & 31)
     
    `when Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God,..` (2 Thess. 1: 7)

    The Day of Christ.
    God revealed to the Apostle Paul His appointed time for the Body of Christ. It is called the Day of Christ. It starts when Jesus sent His Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost and continues till the Rapture. During the Day of Christ, He is building and maturing His Body.
    `And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, …..for the equipping of the saints ….for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect, (mature) man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;..` (Eph. 4: 11 – 13)
     
    Paul told the Philippians concerning this Day of Christ.
    `Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the Day of Jesus Christ;…..that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense `till the Day of Christ.` (Phil. 1: 6 & 10)
     
    Paul also taught the Corinthians about the Day of Christ.
    `I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,
     so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the Day of our Lord Jesus Christ.` (1 Cor. 4 – 8)
     
    The Day of Christ period of time is not only the first in order of fulfillment but is the greatest in importance in God`s purposes. Each reference to the Day of Christ is only for the Body of Christ and is in the time-slot for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Body.
     
    The Rapture from the Latin `Rapere,` `caught away,` portrays the event presented by Paul. It is the catalyst for the termination of the Day of Christ, and God`s appointed time for the Body of Christ to be caught up in a supernatural manner to meet Lord in the air.
    ` For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up, (raptured) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. ` (1 Thess. 4: 16 & 17)
     
    Note: In Greek the word Day means - a period of time and also a specific day, depending on the context.

    God Summons Russia.

    God Summons Russia.
     
    At the appointed time God will `summons` the Russian leader to bring his army down to Israel. There God will judge them for their evil actions over time.
    `the northern army …has done monstrous things.` (Joel 2: 20)
     
    God calls to the Russian leader to gather a great company of people and lead them down to the mountains of Israel.
    `Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. After many days you will be visited, (summoned – Ryrie translation). (Ez. 38: 7)
     
    They will come down to Israel when it is at peace, when this war with Hamas terrorists has been finished.
    `In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.
     (Ez. 38: 8)
     
    The leader of Russia and his army will be drawn away from the Ukraine and down to Israel`s mountains.
    `I (God) will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army,…` (Ez. 38: 4)
     
    Along with the Russian Federation of nations is Iran, (ancient Persia). They are the power behind the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists. God is bringing them to account also.

    The Great Army.

    The Great Army.
     
    This great army is so massive that there has never been anything like it or will again. Russia will call on former Soviet nations to come with them, plus three other nations – Iran, Ethiopia and Libya.
     
    `…a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations.` (Joel 2: 2)
     
    `Persia, (Iran) Ethiopia, and Libya are with them…Gomer (Turkey) and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops, many people are with you. (Ez. 38: 5 & 6)
     
    The Evil Plan.
     
    The Russian leader will have an evil plan to go and get spoil from Israel.
     
    `Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan. You will say, `I will go up against a land to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates to take plunder and to take booty…` (Ez. 38: 10 – 12)
     
    The Attack.
     
    `the Day of the Lord….. like the morning clouds spread over the mountains, a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations.` (Joel 2: 1 & 2)
     
    Over the mountains of the Golan heights come a wave of Russian war planes. They destroy everything in their path.
     
    `A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; the land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; surely nothing shall escape them….. before them the people writhe in pain; all faces are drained of color.` (Joel 2: 3 & 6)
     
    Then the ground invasion begins, going methodically throughout the towns killing all.
     
    `They run like mighty men, they climb the wall like men of war; everyone marches in formation, and they do not break rank….they run to and fro in the city, they run on the wall; they climb into houses, they enter the windows like a thief. ` (Joel 2: 7 & 9)

    The Convergence of God`s 3 Purposes.
     
    Very soon, at God`s appointed time He will bring a convergence of the 3 groups –
     
    -         The Body of Christ – coming to maturity and then raptured.
    -         Israel – as a nation repenting and turning to God.
    -         The Nations – beginning of the judgments by God upon them.
     
    This appointed time for the convergence begins with the period of time known as the Day of the LORD. This is the time of God`s judgment upon the rebellious nations who are trying to annihilate His people, Israel.  At that time Israel will be without any human support and will need to cry out to God for their very existence.
    The Body of Christ is not in that time, (the Day of the LORD) but will be taken to glory just before it begins. So, is there a sign, something we can `see` as this Day draws closer? God encourages us that we will `see` the Day approaching.
    `Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day (of the LORD in judgment) approaching.` (Heb. 10: 25)
    So, what is this we will `see` approaching?
    `Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the Day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand: a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains, a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there be any such after them, even for many successive generations.` (Joel 2: 1 & 2)
     
    Over the mountains of Israel will come this massive great army the like of which has never been and never will again. This is the beginning of the Day of the LORD of judgment upon that great army and then later the remaining nations of the world. It will take time for this great army to gather near Israel and that is what we, believers will `see` approaching.
     
    Let`s now look at the details.

    The War in Gaza.
     
    God brought the people of Israel back to their homeland in 1948, from all the nations of the earth where they had been scattered for over 2,000 years.
     
    `Thus says the LORD GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.` (Ez. 37: 12)
     
    It has only been by God`s protective hand that Israel was brought out of the nations to their own land. Over the years many surrounding nations have tried to eliminate Israel as a nation, but they have not succeeded for God has watched over them. Since October 7 of 2023 we see yet another attack on the nation of Israel. Terrorists from every direction are trying to eliminate Israel.
     
    Israel is God`s nation that will rule righteously under Him over the nations of the world when they turn to Him. Satan does not want this and continually stirs up the Arab nations surrounding Israel. The main nation behind all the attacks is Iran. They supply the terrorists with arms and rockets etc.
     
    As the war in Gaza progresses the enemy deludes the people of the world into thinking that Israel is the perpetrator and the Arabs of Gaza the innocent ones. Many demonstrations are being held across the world and even Israel`s usual allies America and Great Britain are reluctant to keep supplying Israel with more arms.
     
     
    Finally, when this war is over and there is peace in Israel, it will only be temporary for Israel`s enemies know that it is vulnerable and without the support of its allies.
     
    Iran is breathing threats, but God will hold it off till He is ready to judge them. It is at this time when Israel is at peace that God will summons the great army to come down to Israel and be judged.
