A study of how Revelation unfolds. I heard a interesting teaching on the book of Revelation, thought I would share it. It was on some cassette tapes my mother has from a preacher/teacher named Dr. Floyd Jones. I will try not to make this extremely long, while keeping the intent of the teaching. Dr. Jones examines the pattern of Genesis, where GOD describes the creation days 1-7. He then backs up to fill in more information about the creation. He then applies this thought, to the book of Revelation. There is also a distinction between events happening in heaven and events happening on the earth. So, grab your Bible and follow along, and come to your own conclusion. This has been a fascinating study for me, and I hope it will be for you too. I would suggest taking notes when comparing the scripture, it will keep your reference points handy without having to relocate a particular verse. Chapter 4 and 5 is what we will see right after the rapture and resurrection, the events described are what WE will all see in the throne room. Chapter 6 starts just before the tribulation starts and ends with the physical return of CHRIST. The day of wrath. This is the very end of the tribulation. Notice how Chapter 6 is from the beginning to the end of the tribulation. Notice the pause, between the 6th and 7th seals, to fill in more information. Chapter 7 God backs up to the beginning of tribulation, and fills in more information. The 144,000 are foretold, and the tribulation saints. Chapter 7 verse 9 parallels the 5th seal of Chapter 6 verses 9-11 (Both describing a heavenly event). Chapter 7 goes to the end of the tribulation. Chapter 8 verse 1 according to the theory should have been the last verse of Chapter 7. Since the translators placed the verses in the chapters. This is an accepted possibility. Thus making verse 1 of Chapter 8 happening at the very end of the tribulation. Chapter 8 verse 2-5 is a event happening in heaven. Starts after the beginning of the tribulation and ends at the end of the tribulation. This heavenly event parallels the earthly event of Chapter 6 verses 12-17. Here again GOD is going to the end, and then backs up to fill in more information, this time describing parallel events happening in heaven. Chapter 8 verse 6, thru Chapter 9 verse 21, these are events that are happening on the earth. They start about a 1/3 of the way through the tribulation and end, near the end of the tribulation. This covers the trumpets 1-6. Notice another pause, this time between the 6th and 7th trumpet, to fill in more information. Chapter 10 is a unique event. It describes a event near the end of the tribulation. There are possibly 7 more judgments via the thunders, but John is told not to write what was uttered down. We will have to wait to see. Chapter 11 verses 1-13, backs up to the beginning of the tribulation, and fills in more information. This is the earthly event of the two witnesses. This ends at the mid point when the antichrist kills the two. Chapter 11 verses 14 -19 is describing the very end of the tribulation. These verses parallel Chapter 8 verses 2-5, and Chapter 6 verses 12-17. These are the same event. Chapters 12 and 13, back up to the mid point of the tribulation. Here we see the war in heaven where Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven to the earth. The economic and political system of the beast is put in place. The abomination of desolation is the beginning of these events. There are now 1260 days or 42 months (30 day months) till the return of CHRIST. The worst, in human history will happen in this time period. Chapters 14 verses 1-5, the time frame of this event is not clear, but it seems to happen after CHRIST returns. Angels4u Some of us that believe there will be a pre-trib rapture, see the battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39, happen very soon after the rapture takes place, and right before the tribulation starts. In your reading of these two chapters you should have noticed the verses that say Israel will burn the weapons for fuel for 7 years. This I believe is a reference to when this battle takes place right before the 7 year tribulation. Now of course we can

Hi Thunder I first heard the teaching from a Bible teacher, that had came to teach at a church I attended 21 years ago. His name is Dr. Floyd Jones. He is from the Houston area. The reason I remember 1981, it was the year I graduated from high school. I had had an interest in prophetic study since I was 14, but after hearing Floyd teach, my interest became an obsession. He really opened the interest that was there, to really put the effort into studying what the Bible was trying to tell us concerning the return of CHRIST. I guess what I am asking is, what verses specifically support the day that we can't know as the rapture? What verses support the day CHRIST returns as the day we can't know? I do not believe, when CHRIST spoke of the day we can't know, that HE was referring to the rapture or of his physical return. Peace, but not yet.

Here are the verses where CHRIST was recorded 3 times, telling what day and hour that no one knows, but the FATHER only. These verses are followed by Peter's description of that day and hour. It is very clear in the verses, that CHRIST is saying the day no one knows, is the day that the heavens and earth pass away. How did this day become the rapture, or the day of his physical return? The verses do not say, you can't know when the rapture will happen. It also does not say you can't know when CHRIST will physically return. 3 times it is recorded. Why are people looking all over the Bible for another day as the interpretation of these verses, when the answer in proper context, is in the verse right above the "no one knows" verses. Lets study closely to see what I am talking about. MATTHEW 24: 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 HEAVEN AND EARTH SHALL PASS AWAY, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Reading from REVELATION Chapter 11:7-12, it is very clear that this prophecy could not be fulfill until this generation. REVELATION 11:7-12 7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. Verse 9 says that people of the world shall see their bodies in the street. The only way this event could be witnessed as a live event, as the verses suggest, is with television, and the satellites that send their signals around the world. Hello I am new here, and I love to study prophecy and how secular events could be fulfilling end time prophecy. I have read several of your post, on when you think the last 7 years will begin. And was glad to see the excitement of fellow brothers and sisters discussing what our near future holds. This is my belief on how it will all begin. Every year the Jews celebrate the feast of trumpets. We know this as Rosh Hashanah. It is the first day of the Jewish new year. On this day, which starts at 6 o
