  1. While you certainly you need to pray for this situation and read Bible, you should also seek medical assistance. It sounds more like something that could be addressed medically. This is a sensitive topic and I understand that. By studying entire Bible and all demonic encounters, we get a good idea on how to differentiate demonic activity vs mental issues. I see this thread is not a place to debate on that. So I would rather keep quiet on that and just encourage you to seek medical assistance. And find believers who are willing to pray with you and be with you on this journey. Do not be discourage. If you have confessed your sins and accepted as Jesus as Lord and Savior, no demon or devil can have absolute power over you. You are a child of God. Your life is in God's hand. No demon can take that away from you.

Your post just about touch on everything.

It's not the first time and I have heard it mamy times.

Why the comment "scripture is silent", and it's usually given with such strong conviction.

When at the same time we claim, how rich and marvelous are the scriptures and the mysteries they reveal...

I am surprised that this came from someone who has demonstrated with his post indepented thought and vision...

That statement "limits", instant for "search and you shall found", asked and you shall recieved...

    Keep an open mind...

Unless Jesus said I have closed your minds...

    Jesus is the truth Christ and he wants to open minds, he has a policy, amongs others;

Search to oppose me and you will find me in defeat and his mercy, apostle Paul can testified to that.

The Roman Soldiers (not all), can testified to that, he was found by those who never seek him...

It's because the Romans defeated the Greeks, who the Greeks had defeated the Persians, who Persians had defeated the Egyptians...

The Egyptians could not defeate the Persians, who could not defeat the Greeks...

the prophesies to be fulfill needed a coulture with rules of law and a political system just like the Romanic one.

Everything done in order and recorder.

At the time of Jesus there were "coroners" who verified the death of prisoners.

If a prisoner faint during their lasses, and does not regain consciousness a coroner had to verified if he is dead and end the punishment....and had to file a report why the punishment could not come to completion.

Thank's God for these rules among the Romans thst spare Jesus legs of beeing broken, and the Roman coroners witness that Jesus had die, and the test in place that aplly to prove that Jesus had indeed die on the Cross.

We see that Jesus carried the scars  on his resurected boddy, one we see is to prove positive identification, beyond a reasonable doubt.

I am not sure if I understand the intent of your post. I still do not see whether you addressed the question on why Jesus came, when He came.

  3. I think this is very cultural as well. I come from India. And now I live in US. What is normal marital age is totally different in these 2 countries! But doctors do suggest better childbearing age. I believe it's late 20's to early 30's. Assuming a person would be interested in having children after marriage, may be that's a good benchmark to consider? All said, an ideal age for marriage is when God brings the person the right partner!

  4. Interesting question. Bible does say that Jesus came in "fullness of time". Per God, it was the most appropriate time. I think lot of people explain it from a perspective that the world was better connected. Travel was easy. Roman empire was so vast and large that pretty much they were under total control. Spiritually Israel expected their Messiah anytime. We can come up with many factors. But there is no decisive answer. Scripture is silent. What we know is, it was indeed the perfect time. Because God choose it!

Search in Youtube : Just imagine Billy Graham says Jesus Christ is not the only way,  www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPS5q0LfQas

In this video Billy Graham said :

Whether they came from the muslim world, or the Buddhist world or the Christian world or a non believing world, they are members of the body of Christ because they have been called by God, they may not even know the name of Jesus. But they know in their heart that they need something that they dont have and they turned to the only light they have and I think that they are safe.

Are the Muslim and Buddhist and the non believing world who have refused the Gospel of Jesus Christ Salvation, also saved as Billy said ?

Can we bargain with this Words :

John 14:6 , "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I have not seen the full video. From what I remember, it was not a straight forward question with a straight forward answer. If my memory serves right, it was about people of other religion who have never heard the name of Jesus and have already died. Today we have the privilege of internet and such a massive reach. But so many people have died without hearing the name of Jesus even once. And that is still happening in some remote tribes. What about them? yes, the Bible clearly declares Jesus is THE way. There is no other way to heaven. What if a person never heard the name of Jesus? It is not up to us to judge on that.

Does the Bible specifically say that we should pray to Jesus, or only to God?

Jesus is God. I assume you meant God the Father? Jesus, Father and Holy Spirit constitute the Holy Trinity. Jesus is God. They all are equal. I see nothing wrong to praying to either of them. Praying to Jesus or Holy Spirit is also praying to God. Because Jesus and Holy Spirit are God.

When I was at a Christian College I attacked another students faith and he became an atheist. Now my entire life is focused on spiritual warfare and deliverance as has been that way for over 10 years.

Do not attack others faith. God will deal severely with people that do.

I dont always have control of my body and I can't  read the bible.

I have lived a very wicked life and I am so sorry for what I have done. This is the penalty I must face.

This is what Bible says about salvation. It is a gift of God and it is from God alone. That person did not become atheist because of your attack. That person became atheist because of lack of faith. No one can stop a person from being saved.

You also say that you have lived a very wicked life and this is the penalty you must face. Jesus took that penalty. On the Cross. He did for all our wickedness. Where sin abounds, His grace abounds even more (not to say we get a free ticket to sin!). To think we would still be penalized for our past sins is to diminish the power of Cross. The Cross and Blood of Jesus is far more powerful that you can imagine. You need to trust on Jesus. Look up to Him. Not to your abilities. You will find peace. And only Jesus can give you peace.

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

If someone lives a gay lifestyle, and practice homosexual acts without repentance, what will happen with then, since the Bible says homosexuals will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven?

Repentance is needed for any style of sin. Homosexuality is no exception. Do you think a heterosexual person living in affair without repentance would go to heaven? I think you would not know if the person repents, falls, repents, falls and keeps repeating the cycle and it is a struggle. And slowly coming out of it. Or the person is living in flat rejection to Lord's command and living in sin. There is a big difference between the two. A person does not go to heaven based on self righteousness. And Lord's grace is sufficient to cover any and all sin. The only thing needed is repentance. While we just see the person sinning, we do not know if they are repentant. It probably takes a close relationship with the person to understand where they are with Lord.

My personal opinion - drinking in moderation isn't a sin but it's something that a believer should practice wisely, if they practice it at all. We're encouraged to not be a stumbling block to those around us, so if in the company of others (especially those I know have had an issue with alcohol, those who feel it's a sin, or those young in the faith) I typically will not drink. If I know the person well and know that they also feel a liberty to have a drink from time to time that's a different story. However, I can't even remember the last time I had a drink, it's not something I do often nor something I desire on a regular basis. I attend a church with a very strict view on drinking, that even a sip is a sin. I do think it can be a slippery slope and if one knows they have an addictive personality it's probably wise to just stay clear of any alcohol.

Just my two cents, y'all be blessed.

I completely agree with what you posted! Drinking is very addictive. Why even give it a chance. We cannot take a legalistic view on this matter. We have to go by principles defined in Bible. We have freedom in Christ. But not everything is beneficial as Paul says. I am not sure how God can be glorified through drinking. Some argue it does no harm. May be slowly it leads to addiction. Or leads the person next to us into addition. Only harm can come through drinking. It is better to avoid it completely.

Question 1: Is "Name It and Claim It" a cult hidden in plain sight amongst born-again believers?

Question 2: Is the "Prosperity Message" biblical?

Question 3: How many Christians here on this forum became Christians after hearing someone speaking in tongues?

Question 4: How do you know the language you're speaking is not gibberish?

Question 5: How did you first start to speak in "tongues"?

Question 6: What benefit does speaking-in-tongues serve today's church?

    My humble responses

Question 1: Is "Name It and Claim It" a cult hidden in plain sight amongst born-again believers?

I would not call it a cult. Definition of cult is as below. These people are not directing their devotion to some one other than Jesus. It's just that they got their doctrine all mixed up.

a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.

Question 2: Is the "Prosperity Message" biblical?

Depends on what we define as Prosperity Message. Prosperity is definitely a blessing promised by Lord to so many people. However, it does not mean it is a guarantee for everyone.

Question 3: How many Christians here on this forum became Christians after hearing someone speaking in tongues?

No, it was not because I heard someone speaking in tongues.

Question 4: How do you know the language you're speaking is not gibberish?

Actually I don't speak in tongues. All my prayers are in my native langauge or English. I would not call them gibberish.

Question 5: How did you first start to speak in "tongues"?

Refer above. I don't speak in tongues

Question 6: What benefit does speaking-in-tongues serve today's church?

As long as there is someone to interpret, it will edify the Church. Helps personally as well.

Do you believe that baptism should have an age requirement? Can a 5 year old or even 13 year old be sure that he/she is ready to devote his life to God forever?

No, there should be no age restriction. We just have to ensure the person taking baptism understands what it means. That understanding can come at any age. I would rather encourage teenagers to make such decisions. May be they would realize after growing up that they need to rededicate and take baptism with full understanding in their heart. I don't see any problems with that. It would take immense courage and faith for young people to commit to baptism. They should never be forced into though. Most of the youngsters take baptism due to pressure from family. I think that is totally wrong. If someone is genuinely asking for it, then it means something!

I have had a few  occurrences from the Lord, although I don't throw these types of things around lightly.    I'm just a regular Christian... somewhat quiet in my faith.

But I want to tell about my uncle Danny.  He was saved as a young man but as he went through life, he didn't go to church, etc.   But the night before he died, he went in to take a shower.  He told his wife that he wanted to be clean when he met God!  And several hours later, he passed away!

This made quite an impression on his wife, daughter, my mom and me....maybe others that heard it (he lived in another state).

I thought it was so amazing that he knew he was going to die that night!

I have heard so many such stories. Of how people just realize their time is up and set things right with God. Everyone is saved only through faith. And nothing else. It simply amazes me of our Lord's grace and mercy. That He would reach out to a person until the last minute. I don't think the bath really mattered. What would have mattered is what was going through in his heart. I hope and pray that he had asked for forgiveness of all his sins and asked Jesus to wash him clean with His blood.

Hey everyone! I think I might have scrupolosity.  I do not know wether something is a sin or not. For example when I

I am doing my homework, If one little part of a letter is messed up I will erase it and restart. I will think that It is not glorifying God. I will also think little things like playing my Nintendo switch or watching bike videos on YouTube are sins. I know I need to be diagnosed but I can't at the moment. Please help!

Also should I abstain from eating

if my stomach is not growling/ hurting? I will also doubt everything I do because in Romans it says if you doubt something and do it, it is a sin

P.S. the bike videos have no cursing.

This is a good read on OCD, if you think this is really your problem. I am not sure of your situation though since I do not know much details.

I would suggest to stud Word of God more. You would realize that legalism has no place in a believer's life. We have complete and tool liberty in Christ. At the same time we are His slaves.

Can we live with it and still be true to God without love for the world?

The answer is Yes for some people and No for some people. Technology is inherently not evil. But it would be used by devil as a tool to tempt many. And many would fall for that. It is up to an individual to whether fall for those temptations or not. It is the same thing with everything! Money itself is not evil. But many fall for greed over money. Do insane things to get money!

Please brothers and sisters pray for Chinese fellow Christians. The national persecution on Christianity seems getting worse and worse now. Recently a megachurch in Shanxi Province has been demolished. It is a nationwide campaign to tear down Christian churches. Please pray for us and God remember your brotherly love. Thank you.

Have been praying already for Chinese Christians. We personally know a family there. Will continue praying
