With the closure of the poll about tattoos on the other thread, it seems an idea to give opportunity for the question to be re-phrased and for further opportunity for thought answers to new poll options........

  5. Hi :)

Just to summarise please.. I dont have anger issues at all!!.. I so enjoy my work and am grateful to be healthy and alive..i drive a truck for a living.. I wave at traffic and sing and smile.. I never experience road rage or get angry at other road users.. I am too busy looking at the trees and the bees and the sky.. I looooove life, i love waking up in the morning i love that i can afford to always have coffee :) ( so far ) i l love that i am healthy.. This can all be gone by tomorrow so i just want to enjoy this beautiful life.. I rarely get outraged enough tgat i have no control.. I know when the enemy is working through people and can respond perfectly by Holy Spirit... This is a wonderful feeling to use the Word to repel the enemy not the person the enemy is using.. If you know what i mean??  Occasionally and rarely it is just man to man which i believe is normal.. And is biblically okay..

ouch i thought i list all that but it is still there.. :)

    God bless Mike

We all do that -react in the moment. However I've found if I don't have an outlet, these reactions happen more often. I'm far more likely to react in the moment.

A lot of the men in the Facebook group I'm in prefer MMA or other forms of martial arts, because not only does it give them a release but it teaches discipline, and it's discipline that helps us keep that cool in the moment and react in an appropriate manner.

    Hi Pat

I understand.. When i was a younger bloke i did martial arts for years.. I did judo and muay thai boxing.. To me it was for the express reason of venting and mostly fitness.. I agree men are different to women and we are not expected to respond or react the same to situations... For me nowdays i seem to be a pushover to some would be tough guys.. And good for tgem if they get away with it because i truly am a nice guy becayse Jesus in me.. Just rarely i get 'outraged' then all bets are off ... God gets outraged Moses gets outraged Jesus git outraged.. I cant say it is wrong especially when it is no longer 'natural' but responsive and not reactive.. I dont feel it is wrong because i drive a truck and to survive here and flourish  is to be yourself... Either the kind that runs away to live another day or the kind that last resort is to engage... I am so thankful for your input Pat.. God bless you always

You know, the Bible never says anger is a sin, it's what we do in our anger.

Men are naturally, more aggressive in how they show their anger. And if they don't learn to control it, it's unhealthy.

Most Christians answer to their anger and aggression is to bottle it up, tamp it down and pray God cures them if it.

And it's rarely effective. Because what happens is usually they bottle it up until they blow up.

A better way to handle it is to learn to channel it. I'm a member of a Facebook group titled "the league of savage gentleman" and it's a group of men who are working on doing just that, being able to control their aggression constructively so that they can control it. If they can control it they know when to respond like a gentleman, and when to let the savage side out if necessary.

And they discuss many ways. Many of them turn to martial arts.

Others into woodwork, art, and other stuff.

I realize it's not a Christian page, but the concept isn't a bad one. God made man with a purpose and he made us the way we are. Instead of bottling our anger we need to learn how to properly channel our aggression in a proper way. Hobbies, whatever. If we can get that aggression out of our system in a positive manner, were more likely to keep our cool when met with difficult people or situations.

For me, it's spending time in the outdoors, usually with firearms, target shooting, hunting, fishing, whatever.

It maybe something totally different for you, but whatever it is, include God.

    Hi Patriot

Great response thank you :)... I find personally i only lose 'control' when i get 'outraged' .. Like if my life is put at risk by someone elses impatience or if i am attacked for no good reason.. The last one is not always the case but rarely sometimes :) ... And as you said which i like is that men have this nature it is Gods design.. (My words) .. It is always situational and if it leads to regret then was a wrong response.. But if it leads to something good which seems to always gappen for me then it is the appropriate choice... !!?? In my humble opinion :)

    Thanks Patriot

There are some very angry, aggressive, and devious people at large.

I am convinced that God doesn't want His People to be dominated, intimidated, manipulated, or seduced, so when threatened by antagonists I tell them I want to speak to them about the Lord Jesus Christ and proceed to tell them that Christ died for them to take away their sin.

A number of times whilst carrying out my groundkeeping duties when no other staff are present at the government installation I am contracted to, I have been approached in an antisocial and menacing way by transients on site without authorisation. More than once I have been charged at and threatened with violence by an agitated individual who has parked up and left a mess, and been asked to clean it up and stop trespassing. My challenge for him to stop in the name of Jesus Christ has been effective, and my references to his sin being paid for by Jesus Christ on the cross reduced his aggression to belligerently bringing his face to within centremetres of mine, at which time I told him Jesus loved him and I wanted to be his friend. Some interesting dialogue has taken place, with colourful language used to question what I knew about his sin, my answer being again that I knew Christ had died to take away his sin and set him free from it.

With the help of the Holy Spirit these confrontations were de-escalated with plenty of verbal assaults but no actual physical contact, and more signs have been placed to warn such persons to stay off the premises, from which plants, landscape features, and vehicles have been stolen.

Yes!! also i deescalate more than not too :)

Always i respond or react to a situation as a Christian.. Now i have earned respect and not a push over also we are friends .. This is because i can be who. I am as a new person and become all things to all people .. I dont try to be anything i am not because i am a good person through Christ and my trust is in Him not me.. All things work to good for those tgat love Him.. And believe me i have zero regrets because all things have and do work to good.. :)

Of course you know one purpose of our Chistian journey is to build character and how is that going to happen if we don't have battles? Everyone has an inroad where God allows Satan to buffet us. Sounds like you just shared yours. I think an upside is to see this as an opportunity rather than a problem.

    Hi 2404..

Great!!! :) excexcellent response i think..

    God bless you always

  12. Hi again :)... Every one here knows i am a Christian and very docile and happy.. I think occasionally this is viewed as weakness.. I drive trucks and meet many people .. Many of which are 'big tough truckie types'.. And seriously they dont equate well with 'nice' people.. It just so happens tgat many times these blokes are up for a fight.. And i 9 times out of 10 am not angry back because i understand where they are coming from .. It is easy to talk them down... It seems to be the rare occasion when i get outraged.. Then i really have no control and my glasses come off and just get crazy.. This seems to be my rare affliction in the flesh.. Does any one else experience this please? Actually i might start another thread :)

    God bless Mike

  13. Hi :)

My name is Michael.. I have been a Christian nearly all my life!! Thanks to God :).. Umm i am because of Holy Spirit a really nice person.. The thing is maybe once every couple years or so somebody pushes the buttons that sets me on fire and i errupt.. Just happened 2 days ago!! I actually got in a physical scuff and i think i enjoyed it!.. Because i am susceptible to this i know what the bible says about anger and even Gods anger or Jesus or Moses.. The thing is i really have no control when it happens.. .. Always someone comes at me and i react rather than respond.. But very rare!! I know it is the enemy .. But i am still a man and subject to testerone and whatever... Any comments please.. As i say i am a really nice guy!!..  I still have flesh that is how God created us... I am Australian and over here it is regarded as normal to get in a scuff.. It is bad to run away.. So i dont think my reactions are necessarily wrong!!???

i would live to hear any mature Christian thoughts..

also we are friends now the other man and me.. :)

I’ve made a couple threads about salvation and I’m just wondering if someone was to fall away and become worse, is it possible to be renewed to repentance?
I’m worried I’ve become worse and unable to sense God. I don’t know if I’m abit to be with God anymore or if I now have a demon. I don’t know where to get help for this.

    Hi

Before we are born again we belong to Satan.. We are his prisoners in chains.. When we are born again we are released from prison.. From bondage.. And satan then has to fight to stop us from spreading the good news.. The Gospel of Jesus Christ.. You are now in warfare!!..  You need the armour of God!! Especially to feed the hunger for knowing God by His Word.. The bible!!.. You need to prove yourself  and become stronger in spirit and in truth.. The enemy is a liar and the father of lies... Dont listen to lies but read Gods truth..

  15. Hi, well i have seen a couple more just last week.. Back 15 years ago i was a smoker and used to go outside every half hour or so to have a cigarette.. I would linger and stare at the night sky.. Over those years i only saw a few lights.. Nowdays i dont look at tge sky as much but the things i have been seeing are much more than just lights.. Those that know me all my life know i am a credible person and know what i tell them is 'gospel truth'..

Any way i am only mentioning this as i feel it could be important..

    God bless

    Mike
