Josephstrks: Elijah (Elias in Greek) was to only come once. Christ answered that he had come. We have to put aside "time" and look at how God deals with fulfillments of prophecy and that is in "fullness of things". He - Elijah - came just as he was promised by God to do. The prophecy of the two witnesses has nothing to do with Elijah. Since John the Baptist, Heaven no longer suffers violence but now only the humbled with the Gospel may enter in. Until that time is "full", then the "Day of the Lord" is delayed. It doesn't matter whether it takes 2000 or 4000 years to come to fulness, God has kept His promise and already sent Elijah before that day. God Bless.

I tried to do a search and cannot find where or what post I originally read that statement in. Please accept my apology for directing that accusation to you. As far as "other threads", I have little time in these message boards. I have left off posting in some threads due to this lack of time and felt there was nothing more to say. One of the issues I have with ikonboards is that there is no tracking or notification system of responses from others. I started out on Lycos in 1998 but, left when they changed their format. Delphi is nice but now limits a person's posting capabilities unless you pay them for additional capabilities like posting URL's or colorizing, etc.... Plus, Delphi is a hotbed of politically motivated individuals who desire to cut people to shreds rather than reason and debate in a Christian tone. But, at least both of them (Delphi and Lycos) had an email notification system to let me know when someone replied or posted to me. So, if you have posted to me elsewhere, please provide the links and I will go and answer you. God Bless.

PoPpLeS: What wordsower has said is core Truth from the Scriptures and worthy advice to all who believe in Jesus Christ. In reading your post, I noticed first that you are very young -16 years ( I am not saying this to demean you or imply that you are immature) as well as this young man is very young at 15 years. I am sure that you are an intelligent young lady just by your words. As well, I am sure that you have seen and know from life all the complications and devastations that accompany a huge percentage of marriages and relationships in this world today. I do not know how your own home life is or whether both of your biological parents are still together and in love but, I am sure that even if they are, you have friends that do not have that kind of home. It is important that you have an understanding of what True Love is and where it begins. Today so many toss that word around so easily and, to many, it has a myriad of different meanings. The only way we come to know what True Love is, is by drawing close to the Creator of Love, Jesus in whom God manifested His perfect Love to us. You see, Love is more than feelings. It is more than attraction or things we like in someone above all others we know. Love is faithful and never dies. It is commitment unto the end of our lives. It is never selfish nor is it ever "puffed" up into excuses or self preservation. True Love in all of it's loveliness and requirement, will never fail us. And all of that is embodied in Jesus Christ. You being a Christian, I am confident that you know the commandments and how we are to Love God above ALL others even ourselves. That is the first and most important commandment and the Scriptures testify that on that one commandment and the one following, "to Love our neighbors as ourselves", hang all the Law and the Prophets (thier Words from God). In other words, God built His entire righteousness and Truth for us around those commandments. These commandments are repeated in the Gospels and by the Apostles with indepth knowledge and instruction on how to apply them along with the benefits and rewards for such. I don't know if you have heard it before but, over the last 30 years, divorce and it's devastating effects on hearts and children has risen within the Christian community. It is at a very high rate approaching 68% of professing Christian homes. The only reason this could be occuring is that many are not following the Lord's formats and guidelines. But, most importantly, they are not reading and understanding what the Lord has for all of us and requires of us first. When we mature in Him having understanding of all His ways and following Him in Truth and Spirit, "seeking the Kingdom of God first", we then can see the things that we did not see before. And, when we have that Love perfectly working in us, (not that we are perfect but only being perfected by that Love), do we see the necessity of only looking for someone who does the same. And, if they know the same and do the same as we, we know they understand the daily requirements of perfect and commited Love that never dies. So, in essence, that is why God requires us to NOT be unequally yoked. And, make no mistake in understanding what I am saying. As I said, Christian homes break apart also so, just because a boy or man is Christian or comes to Christ, does not mean that they have this fruit I have mentioned above. Draw close to the Living God, draw close to a personal relationship in Christ and, He will guide you so long as you put all these things before Him. God Bless and Keep You.

Hi rollinThunder: I appreciate your zeal to make sure all are prepared and ready for surely that is the most important message over rapture theories and so forth. I do disagree with your analogy and consequent two raptures but, I won't deal with that here as I am already disproving the pre-trib concept over in the "Issues for Debate" threads. However, since you brought up the "parable of the ten virgins" and make continual reference to the Church (even if only part of it) being the "bride" of Christ, I challenge you (very lovingly and friendly of course) to prove that the Church is the "bride" based solely on Scripture (preferably KJV) with NO added commentaries or assumptions, please. Well I have to say that the conversation thread on this board has been informative in many areas. Of course we have Eph-777 who cannot tie two strings together let alone Scripture being the conversely typical little sarcastic imp he/she has always shown to be. Don't worry though Eph, I believe I did see ONE poster being a fan to your sarcastic stupidity! Dimension: Interesting posts but, I copied them out for indepth study as I did see some problems based upon my own research but, pretty good analogies none the less. :thumb: blindseeker: Most interesting and I am interested in a deeper analogy and how you were led to your conclusions. To whoever that was that posted about Freemasons: I cannot believe that in this day and age you can be so blind as to even call them "psuedo-christian". Enough witness has come from 30* degree masons who have left that org after Truely coming to Christ, that they are in league with satan, worship satan and, generally keep that hidden from the "lower" degree masons. But, in general, their testimonies always show that had they been spiritually discerning upfront, they would have realized that by NOT allowing Jesus name within their doors or on any printed articles, they are antichrist.
